Hi,
That's what I thought... and that's why I ported it to Hammerhead
Link is now up... so you can give it a try.
Hope you'll like it

Interesting, a new Rom after long time. Kept for dnlding; will test and Report.
BTW, does Infinitive Kernel has DT2W feature or I have to go for ElemenalX or Blue_Spark?

Hi Sandy7874,
Infinitive kernel does NOT have DT2W feature.
I installed it on another Kernel (I think it was Electroactive).
But gave it up as I found it was eating battery life rather quickly.
Maybe it has been fixed on newer releases, but I did not test it.
Regards.

Hey,
Thank you for very prompt response. U do use Infinitive as daily driver right? How much SOT u get on Stock kernel? I jz need DT2W feature; if its not on Stock Kernel but SOT is :good:Good:good: then I will stick to Stock

Hi,
yes, I do use Infinitive as daily driver.
Concerning SOT, it's difficult to say...
Last time I checked, I got about 4h35 and 9% battery left.
But I am not sure how that's calculated... and I almost always plug-in my phone every now and then over the day, so not sure SOT given is relevant
Regards

Thank you again. I will test Infinitive with bot stock and custom Kernel.

This ROM is really great! I already tried it before and was quite impressed!
Good to see it's official now and will be updated!

No, as he mentioned before, these are official builds even if they are named as unofficial.

Hi Sandy and BeDesire,
Yes, these are somewhat "early" builds, so still labelled "UNOFFICIAL".
But you can consider them as official : I'm member of the Infinitive team and this release has officially been approved by the team after it's been tested...
As the main tester, I considered I would not advertise it before having thoroughly tested it.
I now run it as a daily driver for about 1 week and have had literally NO FC or bad behavior (at least on what I use).
Regards.

Hi NexusPenguin,
In the description of the Rom, please you add the full specifications.
A user who would like to install this Rom, makes a complete wipe to find out what this rom?

Hi,
Complete specifications would be too long to do immediately... but will try to add it overtime.
Of course, like for any other ROM, if you come from Infinitive, you can dirty flash.
If you're coming from another ROM, you should CLEAN FLASH (wipe data/system/cache).
BUT : if you come from another Slim Based ROM, a dirty flash might do.
I've tried it without major issues...
Of course, it is wise to reinstall GApps, even after a dirty flash...
Regards.

Could you upload to AFH or something? Trying to get the download to even start hasn't been going too well with drive...

Hi
Dnlded n flashed rom with TK Gapps. All good except 2 things -
1. I m unable to activate SlimPie (i did activate it in settings but doesn't show up on screwn).
2. I dont see volume rocker option to change music track when screen is off..
Till nw very good battery backup.

Nice. Looks pretty fine. For some reason this reminds me of the good old Slim Roms - just even cleaner - definitely worth a look.
How 's the Camera performance / quality compared to Stock TW / CM ?
Edit:
Here 's a good video showcasing some of the UI-Features (still 5.0.2):

The camera still working very well, the quality is :good:
Here I was going to complain about how the low light quality sucked with "A Better Camera" @ ASOP ... then I flashed back to S5 TW to compare ... and yea.
ASOP - A Better Camera
TW 5.0.0 - Stock Camera:
That said the Animation-Settings FC on me everytime I try to open them. Now I only need to find a good CM12 theme I really like.

AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Known Issues & Extra Features
Known Issues
Clock application force closes when selecting "profiles" under alarm. Other than that that app works flawlessly and will still get you up for work or school
If you use a Google apps package "Mini" or higher you won't even have this issue.
Benschholds Custom Kernel Support
At first I was going to add Benschholds Custom Kernel by default to my ROM but after talking to him we decided it was best if I keep to using my stock AOKP kernel and just link his kernel here for those who dare to be different, so the choice is up to you I've included the link in this post where you can research his kernel, I have personally tested this kernel and say it's really good for performance and speed but the stock kernel (The one included in my ROM by default) Is the best for Stability and battery life... So the choice is yours

(Don't forget to give thanks on his thread if you appreciate he's work)
Google Apps & SuperSU
There is a known AOKP issue that means you'll loose your Google Apps when flashing a new update.
The fix for this is to always flash the gapps package of your choice along with the update itself in recovery!
SuperSU is not present by default but feel free to flash it.
I've personally tested the SuperSU 2.70 beta with my ROM and it works perfectly!
Yeeeep one more ROM tot flash this use to be my favourite on my Nexus 4

Announcement
Hey guys!
It's been a long time. I was inactive due to some personal issues and lack of time to spend on development. I apologize for not providing consistent updates. I have also switched to another device recently. So I don't find any point in just being the maintainer of this ROM without being able to provide updates regularly. So I have planned to hand over this thread to @Adesh15 who will be rolling out the updates from now on. Thanks for all the support and patience that you have shown during my bad time.
Thanks and Regards,
Sanjay Varun
Awesome!
Please can any one confirm

GPS working fine ? Do i have to flash any gps fix ?
Good work, mate!
Awesome work @Sanjay Varun
Is this a lightweight ROM by default OR are features being added?
Btw, does this ROM use 3.10 kernel?

GPS doesn't work for me. A fix is needed, i don't know which one though. EDIT: Use Exodusche's fix in Post #11, it works without problems!
Camera & video recording works fine with Footej App. Wifi/Mobile Data switching works as well.
Best 7.1 Nougat Rom so far, it is usable as a daily driver in my eyes. Big thanks to the Dev!
I take no credit for this but this is the gpsfix used on other N ROMs. Please delete the .rar part. Thanks Sanjay your work is phenomenal!
does camera take a long time to start up ?

First Stable Nougat 7.1 [API 25] ROM !
Congrats @Sanjay Varun !
Thank you so much for your efforts towards our device
Hi great job with the ROM, fast and smooth! I flashed this last night and unfortunately I've had some pretty mega drain today, lost 60% in 1hr SoT. Still seems to be draining fast even in saver mode.
Clean flashed your ROM on new bootloader with twrp 3.0.2-0 and bluspark. Is bluspark causing the issue do you think?

What do u mean by bluespark? U mean u r flashing it in blue spark recovery?
Hi, thanks for your reply, no, I'm using 3.0.2-0 TWRP with blu_spark Kernel
EDIT - Just realised that I am still on 3.4.0-SlimKernel_onyx so blu_spark should be ignored.

How could u make that so dark
This is a very stable ROM, only some minor problems:
1. Camera takes about 10 seconds to start the first time after reboot (next times it takes about 2 seconds only).
2. Flashlight tile on quick settings is not working.
3. Draw an O gesture does opens the camera app, but screen is still locked. I have to unlock the screen to make the camera app show up.
4. GPS in device only mode is not working either (even with the gps fix zip).
So another ROM with battery drain... Stop releasing builds until this is fixed otherwise you cannot mark this as "Stable"
EDIT: Couldn't confirm battery drain in this rom, good job OP!

Oh boy here we go flashing again! Thank you for keeping OmniROM alive
Excellent stuff.
OmniRom was always a pioneer when it came to ROM development & features. I'm so glad you have released before Paranoid Android builds!
There will never be a cure for us [email protected]@holics lol! A HUGE thanks for building for bacon!

That what i was scared about....
And what about charging speed?!
Waiting for your subsequent charging cycle review...
stock kernel CPU governor is set at Performance. I changed it to conservative.
Charges rapidly.
No unusual drains so far
Can't seem to find the option to disable hardware keys. Nevertheless, this is an excellent ROM. Thanks, Mr. @Okeys
Is hardware button remapping available? BTW this is an excellent ROM. Thanks dev.
Only things I'm really missing are KCAL color support and screenshot + airplane mode in the power menu.
Aside from those, this is a very solid ROM.

For those, who can't find button remapping. We have minimal customization of it. Look at OmniGears-Device Features and u'll find swapping there. And also have a look at OmniGears-Buttons, u'll also find action settings in "Other" for long tap and double tap there.
Also, forgot to mention that I'm using another kernel, so feel free to play with its settings in KA or in another kernel tweak app. And u can use spectrum now, its support is added.
Thanks for your reviews.
