Hi Guys,
First time joining XDA, have previously lurked on the S3 threads (a long time ago, think it was before knox?). I am awaiting my S6 Edge and was looking at the photo thread of photo's taken with the edge. I noticed some of you guys talking about some sony sensor and did a quick search to find out more, mainly, is this an app or is it part of the hardware? If it is an app, can I install it without root (and tripping knox?). Alternatively could someone point me in the right direction so I can read up on it instead of wasting your time explaining it to me, if it has already been documented.
//Thanks

Hi everyone,
I realize this is a quite stupid first question on this forum, as I found many threads, which already discuss it. The problem is that the answers seem inconsistent.
I would like to know if Whatsapp Sniffer still works for reading Whatsapp messages on the same Wifi. If only in some cases, or with some device, in what cases or devices.
There is still a huge amount of articles, searching on Google, which explain how this is still possible and normal. In some threads here and elsewhere, though, I read this problem was fixed by Whatsapp already a year ago.
Could somebody making it clear?
Sorry again if it is a bit dumb and it was already clarified.
Thanks,
Notte
Help
Any help?
Is this the right section?
Thank you very much.

Nah, it dosent work now and wont work ever........back when watsapp started it wasnt encrypting the messages............it has now shifted to encryption.........
In an effort to help keep this forum tidy use this tread only for general questions
You don't need to create a post for a question that most likely has been answered already keep it in here. Your questions will be taken care of. Thanks
So no new threads?
I'm not so sure that consolidating all z3V questions into one megathread is the answer.
How about telling people they should search before posting, or tell people to stop being post whores trying to rack up their post counts.
THAT'S what seems to be the problem.
There's definitely not another thread on this section asking about RAW camera files. I've checked. But I've answered a few posts recently with links to other posts in this same section.

I have been out of the scene for a long time. I do still use this device.
What is the status of using any firmware past Lollipop whether stock or custom?

Sony Z3 Flashboot loss
Hello everyone, First of all I searched the forum a little to find an answer to my question, but not speaking English and having trouble with the words which are automatically translated by the machine translation I am a little lost, so I decided to post this topics, so please excuse if this post is duplicated, in which case please tell me the original topic, and please excuse my poor english as well.
The subject is therefore in the title, it seems that I lost my fastboot after having rooted and done some experiments with my Z3, of which I obviously lost the DRM keys .. I had done this a few years ago. ..
Some time ago I wanted to use this Z3 again, bored by my redmi Note 5 Plus. After having reset the Z3 via Companion PC, I lost the routing .. and when I wanted to root the Z3 again, I realized that I had lost the Fastboot ..
So I would like to try a custom ROM for the first time, I was thinking of LeneageOS, or CarbonRom, but for that I obviously have to have access to the fastboot, but this one seems to have disappeared .. whether it is by manual manipulation or by the way by ADB, I end up with the black screen, the blue led, and the software does not see the Z3.
How can I reinstall a fastboot?
Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (32 GB) and I am running stock firmware, unrooted and bootloader locked. During an exam in college, I did not know that it was forbidden to have your phone in your pocket. The teacher found out about me having a phone in my pocket and I have to explain myself soon. I did not use my phone at all during the exam, and I want to show this to my teacher. Is there a way to show her that I have not used the phone? Maybe Android creates a log file where it records all the actions taken between that date and timeframe? I have googled this but I found nothing...
Hope you'll help me.
Thank You
Not without root there isn't. Even then unless he was used to looking at the code it wouldn't make sense to him
u need root to show that, buddy.
i faced that problem too.
then simply i took my mom and teacher gavr my phone back
Thanks for the help guys. If I root it right now, is it then possible to show the teacher a log which is created before I rooted my phone? So the log was already there before the rooting, but to be able to view it I have to root it?
Sorry for my bad English.
Zelendel, you said that the teacher probably doesn't understand the code. I don't understand the code neither but if I could learn what the log would say if no action on the phone was taken at all, then surely the teacher must be able to learn that too....
So if you told me that the code would look like ''xxxx'' when no action was taken, then I can show this thread to the teacher and compare the codes.
That's the thing. That unless you know what you are looking for. You will see thousands of things happening during that time. I really doubt he is even gonna care. It's not a matter of what you did with it, it is the fact that you were not supposed to have it. (more and more schools are doing this. Heck my kids are not even allowed to have it at all on property) so while he might give you the benefit of the doubt it really still is the matter that you are not supposed to have it at all.
Hello, I was wondering why is there no newb section on this website? surely it would help all the new comers like myself who have no idea what they're doing.
I recently rooted my device for the purpose of changing some Personal Hotspot settings so I decided to look at the other benefits I could get from rooting and one of them is Themes. My question is why is it so hard to theme your device? I thought alot of these theming apps were one click proceedurs however it is not at all the case, speaking of complications when I rooted my device I accidently deleted touchwiz home and ended up stuck on Easy Mode for a whole day even after fully wiping/resetting until I figured out the problem. I still have standard mode showing as easy mode on my device but its actually got a launcher for now so it's all good.
Anyway It would of been good to have noob/newb section on this website so I could get to grips with everything there is to know or most things anyway. Right now I don't really know where to look on this website as there are too many threads that contain complicated titles with terms I never even heard of before so let alone reading the whole threads where I just hear myself reading on and on with no understanding what so ever.
Am going to stop my little rant here, if anyone can direct me on how to setup some easy themes it would be appreciated.

Greetings an welcome to xda. We did have a forum called xda assist where all newbies could basically ask any question, it became unsustainable due to the fact it became a free tech help line for every device.
Most phone's have their own dedicated Q&A thread where you can ask anything. If you can tell me the device you have I maybe able to help you or point you in the right direction at least
Regards

Hi,
First of all, moderators please feel free to move this thread to the correct section if I'm wrong.
This is the story: we have received 80 Samsung S8 in our company to replace he old S5 ones. The problem that we are facing is that we can't deliver the new devices to the users without all the software upgrades. So, we have to go one by one trough the update process thee times!! with it's corespondent reboots and checks on every device.
So the question is as the thread title shows, is there a way to bulk update several devices at the same time? I mean, not by doing it by hand but in an automated way.
I've been digging on google but I can't find nothing on this matter. Maybe I'm just blind or that there it isn't a way to do it.
Hope some one can help. Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ouch, no one?
Any ideas?
