Installing Andriod App on external SD Card 100% - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need to install my app on sd card with data and launcher, so that it can be used on any another android phone/Tab.
How do I achieve this?
I willing pay for an app/ script that will allow me do this or information on how to do it.

You will need to partition external sdcard creating additional ext partition for apps and regular fat partition for media.
Then use link2sd to move apps from internal memory to ext partition.
play.google[dot]com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en

what you are asking I dont think, in fact I'm sure cannot be done as the actual phone/tab needs to be the 'thing' that installs the app, ie knows it has the app installed. THEN the actual app and data can be moved to sd card. Kind of like a marker, you could install an app on phone/tab A and move to sd card, then put the card into tab/phone B and install it there and move to sd then, I think, the same card can be exchanged between the 2 devices.

[Q] How to use /mnt/emmc/ (external sd card) for applications?

As you know in Sgs 2 there are internal storage, sd card (also built in phone) and additionaly external sd card slot. I would like to use this external one as location to move installed apps. There is option in application manager to move some apps to sd card but to the one built in, not the external. I have 32GB external card while built sd card has now only 100 MB free space and I can't download data for installed apps.
How to use external card for apps installation or moving some already installed apps on it?
Your internalSD is part of your phone where as the externalSD is not .You can backup apps to the externalSD but thats all.If you pass working apps to the externalSD you take them out of the system and so out of the phone and they will stop working. That is why there is only the option to move apps to SD (internal).
there is an additional option in the android system, to set a partition for your apps on external SD, you cant do this with Stock Rom anyway, but no idea on SGS2, any custom rom has offered this option so far.... this partition called "sd-ext" see the definition below:
"This is not a standard Android partition, but has become popular in the custom ROM scene. It is basically an additional partition on your SD card that acts as the /data partition when used with certain ROMs that have special features called APP2SD+ or data2ext enabled. It is especially useful on devices with little internal memory allotted to the /data partition. Thus, users who want to install more programs than the internal memory allows can make this partition and use it with a custom ROM that supports this feature, to get additional storage for installing their apps. Wiping this partition is essentially the same as wiping the /data partition – you lose your contacts, SMS, market apps and settings."
Ok, so any idea about such like ROMs or any manual/instruction thread?

Apps 2 SD Card?

Ok, apparently my internal card is filling up quickly... How does one go about moving things to the sd card? Or is that not an option as of yet?
Running LiquidSmooth at the moment and all rooted out...
Folder mount is the best app for this.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
personally i dont like folder mount i use link2sd app and yes it does work for the s4 you just cant make the ext on the external sd from the custom recovery any more you have to use the pc program to format the external sd to fat 32 and choose how ever much memory you want for that part then make the ext part and then also choose how much memory you want for that part go through the process then once you launch link2sd it will ask you to select the ext part of your external sd and there ya go you can now create symbolic links between your apps and external sd theres a guide floating around on the internet just look up how to use link2sd app

[Q] SD card, apps and security

When an app is installed and has access to your SD card, can that app access anything on the SD card? Photos, etc.
I am not a developer, but as I understand it the SD cards are a FAT file system which does not allow for file system permissions. This is needed because they are removable and the data needs to be accessible by other apps once inserted into another device. Does this make any data stored on the SD card readable by potentially malicious apps that have access to or are installed on the SD card?

[Q] Link2SD for moving apps to microSD card?

I have been using Link2SD to move apps to the external microSD card. But not many apps and I still hit the internal memory limit. Then I discovered that Link2SD can effectively increase the internal memory if I created a second partition on my microSD card and let the Link2SD use that partition as a virtual extension of internal memory. So I created two partitions on my microSD card.
The problem is that my phone (rooted, 4.4.2 stock ROM) refuses to recognize this arrangement and complains that the SD card is damaged. When I let the phone's default app format the first partition, it removes the second one and formats the whole card as partition.
Anyone has a solution or suggestion for me? Thanks,

Could you please explain with a bit more detail? I have checked the Play Store, there are several apps called "sdcard fix" or similar, but they all say they solve the microSD write problem with KitKat. My problem is that when I create the 2nd partition on my SD card, the phone does not even recognize the first partition. Link2SD recognizes the 2nd partition, but it does not recognize the first partition either.
I have checked foldermount, and it seems to do the same thing as Link2SD but it looks like a lot of manual work, identifying folders and creating symbolic links on the SD card.

No folder Mount does it automatically it moves file to SD card and tricks the system. Its fairly simple.
Use app analyzer and click yes to everything. Seems to me you're putting too much thought into this.
1st partition must be fat32 and 2nd partition ext2, both partitions set as primary.
But as sugested, download a sdcardfix from playstore (makes external writeable again), download foldermount paid version, a lot easier.

Emulated SD card I'd like to remove

I was attempting to root my Alcatel 9007t tablet, so I could move apps to my SD card, unsuccessfully.
So I ended up following some instructions and ended up emulating an SD card on my internal, or something or the other
It renamed my actual SD card to something else
So now, I have rooted my phone, I believe, but using link2sd card I can now move my apps, but I get an error on a certain few apps.
I can't link the data, or what have you, to the SD card, and I think its because of this emulated SD storage
Regardless, I would like to remove the emulated SD storage, and rename my SD card to something normal.
Getting to root this thing was difficult, so I would not want to start this whole thing over.
Or if I could get link2sd to link my data to my SD card , that would be excellent.
I am moderate noob so pls hlp
Footnote: no I cannot link to SD thru my storage settings, maybe is there somehow I can do that. I just want to link or move app data to SD card. This is from a downloaded apk that is making kit difficult. The app seemed to install to SD card, but the data is on the emulated SD on the internal
Halp
You will have issues as apps are not made to be on the sdcard and some apps even block the option.
