Hello,
I have had a brief message or two with @unjustied dev and he put a thought in my head about Remix OS and my MOJO...
So now I am drooling all over anything I can find on the subject. I would LOVE TO SEE remix OS on the MOJO.
I don't pretend to know anything about what it takes to do this project, but I would love to know about it and what and how it is done.
Anyone and everyone that sees this post, please share what you think the pro's and con's would be in having the remix OS on the mojo.
Two_Wolf aka Andy
I've been thinking the same thing since I met Remix OS! I think it's the perfect place to work and be productive fork in Android! Companies should consider launching their mini pc with Remix OS over Android OS instead of pure! I hope you have as soon News About Remix OS to carry our Mojo Madcatz !!!

Hi,
I was looking for some Android x86 OS to install on my laptop, so I came across Remix OS. I very much like it, after going through all of features. However, I found Phoenix OS too. I am just super confused now. Which OS should I install; what makes Remix OS better than Phoenix?
Thank you!
Anyone?
u can install them both, and ur problem solved
Thanks! This initiative is not going to resolve my curiosity.
What I mean is u can try install them both and see which one is most working for ur device or PC cause they have pros and cons between one and another
Remix OS and Phoenix OS are just two Android distributions - both based on Android x86. So in terms of hardware support, they might be similar. Phoenix OS seems more refined and ready for market, Remix OS is still just beta and has a lot of bugs. On the other hand Remix OS has a much bigger community, help pages, forums and users - with Phoenix OS you are on your own.
All that said, there is a third option. You could simply plug your Android tablet to a keyboard/mouse/screen and forget about all the Android x86 fever. Your hardware will be fully supported, have access to an official Google Android build with all the support included and in the long term there will be less hassle. And now with Android N on the way which supports Remix OS like windows, you will never notice any difference. I myself am going this route. I will wait for Android N tablets, buy a sufficiently performing one and plug it to some peripherals - instant Android desktop, fully supported by Google. No tricks, no hacks, no unsupported hardware.
Lol... You're having a bad dream...
You can also install a non windowed version of android x-86, after numerous attempts and a lot of failed boots I ended up using AndEx - Exton Android - http://andex.exton.net/?p=451
Does that mean you paid for it as it isnt free?
I know this is a far fetched question. But could it be possible to have ethtool on remix os and enable to WOL android remix OS for PC?
I am sorry if I am being rude, however, what is WOL?
EDIT:
You could add ethtool yourself. It works in Android-x86, so it could work in Remix OS too.
Hey guys did any one tried RemixOs Rom on mipad. Recently I came across a link on miui forum and i found RemixOs for mipad(MOCHA). Here is the link
http://en.miui.com/thread-142603-1-1.html
Mipad fans everyone should try this. RemixOs its a great rom not like others it is different kind of rom it gives a feel of desktop Os like windows. multitasking is the best feautre i like it. and one more think i heard it is stable, as of now every thing is working fine. comment below about the experience and stability of rom if any one tried this rom.
"Highway star" you are doing a great work, recently you have ported to LineageOs, and Check out this Rom may be it can help you for further work on kernel side to fix speaker sound and others.
hi folks i have been using this Rom since a month, and you wont belive it its awesome.
Yes,but remix os was developed a year ago.The developer will not update it any all.
but the Lin 13 really good.
I noticed this today. It is very sad that they are going to stop development of Remix OS and Remix IO and IO+ also. I was checking their site everyday hoping to see an new feature of one or more of Jide Technology products, and i see this
Oh, i thought that i can post links but i still can't since i'm new user. I wanted to upload screenshot. Just visit jide dot com and u will see it.
will if we all download all files and maybe send it to google it will not die but be reborn in Android "Q"
im make a torrint of all file videos asap
Yes, and Remix OS have not got any update since 2017.
And Remix OS for Mobile Project is dead, too.
It seems they are in trouble, and struggling to some more profitable (OEM custom) areas, just like many other projects.
You can try Phoenix OS , another x86 android desktop environment.

Phoenix OS isn't as good as Remix tbh.
Still wanna use Remix but no update, no screen record feature :/
There's a project called "Resurrect Remix OS" that "revived" Remix OS. Resurrect Remix OS also still gets updates.
Downloads of the ROMs for all supported devices can be found on XDA.

Resurrection Remix OS is not a drop in replacement for Remix OS. For example, Resurrection will not run on x86-type hardware. Many other obvious reasons for why Resurrection cannot replace Remix (on x86 hardware).

At least we got a ROM for mobile devices. You're right, Remix OS can't get replaced on x86 hardware, but it's better than nothing.

WRONG. Resurrection Remix ROM is NOT the same as Remix OS. Resurrection Remix is NOT a "resurrection" of Remix OS. It is, and always has been, a ROM strictly for ARM devices that's based off of CyanogenMod and has been around since 2014.

So I've visited the www.jide.com website just for curiosity, and it turns out I've found a lot of... Good news I guess.
Jide is still focused on the Enterprise business, until now, they will focus on the consumers again.
Now Jide is planning to upgrade Remix OS 3.0 to Jide OS 4.0, and separate it to three branches, which are:
Jide OS 4.0, Jide OS M 1.0 and Jide OS X 1.0
Jide OS is made for the Jide (ARM-based) devices.
Jide OS M is made for the Jide mobile devices, till now it's only present in Jide P1, which uses the Remix Singularity solution.
Jide OS X is the x86 version of Jide OS, it's a new version of Remix OS for PC, which is going to be released very soon, so stay tuned!
And they made KunlunOS, which is a real time operating system like Azure Sphere.
Edit: So I saw a Reddit thread talking about it too, and they say that the SSL certificate is expired.. and when you go to https://www.jide.com, you will be redirected to Nextcloud Access to untrusted domain.
Thanks,
Ahmad Moemen., inactive moderator of Phoenix OS forum.
