HDMI screen zoom - not full 1080p? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought a UG007 android hdmi stick to watch films in 1080p on my hdtv. however, when I start the device, it doesn't fill the whole screen. It starts to fill it only once I turn the slider in the "screen zoom" part of the settings. I worry that I may not be getting full 1080p image but rather something upscaled. With the screen zoom slider at its lowest setting, it looks like this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The problem (?) is not solved even if I put some other firmware (Finless Rom with a 1080p kernel) on the device.

Is the font on Android small?

I have had this question for a while. Any page I open, any Twitter link page I open, in any browser, Default 'Browser' or 'Chrome', I have to squint to read the text or I end up zooming in and out and adjusting it to 'fit-to'screen' for the rest of my time.
If you ask me, this is a good page lay out:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also, I think the text overall is small used in the system.
I have a 4.3" screen which was the biggest a while back (till the advent of phablets).
Any way to achieve this. Thanks.
Have you tried changing the font size.? It resides in display settings. (only ICS and up probably)

Tablet doesn't send full hd feed through HDMI despite changing the resolution

I have a 1920x1200 (16:10) tablet. When I plug it in to my 1080p tv it doesn't send a full 1080p feed but rather something like a 720p feed of a 16:10 image. I figured that's because of the screen's aspect ratio so I rooted the tablet and downloaded an app to change the resolution manually. However, even if I change the tablet's resolution to 1920x1080 the HDMI feed is still more like 720p.
Here's a potato-quality pic of what it looks like:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Could the manufacturer of my tablet have simply blocked sending a full 1080p feed? Is there anything I can do?

How to change minimal width of app window in multi-window / split screen mode

Hello,
I tried to search for something about it, but I could not find anything useful.
Is there any possibility of changing the MINIMUM width of the application window in multi-window mode?
I have a Nexus 7 (2012), Android 7.1.2 AOSP with root.
Attached a preview picture so that you can understand what I mean. I have a Nexus in the car - in the small part, I need to have Torque Pro indicators, the rest is to be used for Spotify, YouTube, Google Maps, etc. The more space for the bigger part, the better.
What you see in the picture is the maximum that can be set by default. On the side of the indicators I could easily save 2cm of screen.
