Mediapad (S7-303u) either bricked or pernament stuck on boot loop - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

Hello everyone,
I am tackling a weird situation. I came into a possession of a Huawei Mediapad from T-Mobile that my girlfriend has. It seems that she got it used for free and it may have been messed with to have a custom rom. When I turn it on, it goes with the boot image of a Cyanogenmod logo (seems to be either 10 or 10.1) and it stays on the loading animation for several hours with no change. Then I tried to access recovery mode and when I first press and hold both the Vol- with Power, it won't load anything except for it will do a repeating brief vibration for as long as I hold both buttons down. Then I press and hold both Vol- and Power, but as it turns on I release the power but keep holding the Vol-, it just goes back to the boot animation.
I then tried to do the Vol+ Power combination. By holding both of them down without letting go, it'll do the brief vibration that repeats itself. But when I release the Power but keep holding the Vol+, it takes me to a black screen with white lettering saying the following:
Enter into fastboot mode
You can press POWER key for more than 10 seconds to reboot device
It seems that the recovery mode is not even available for me to do either a wipe or install the stock firmware. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated, including on any proper builds of the latest build since Froyo is the latest version for the stock build.

rooting the galaxy tab 10.1

I've been able to get as far as installing Odin but when I try to enter recovery mode I press the up arrow on my volume and it shuts off! I just need to install the tab root zip . But like I said it keep shutting off I'm stumped can anyone help me. I tried following the you tube video step by step but its not quite going the way the video says it should be please help:O
i need help too actually.
My tab is running the latest firmware from Samsung but I want to try rooting for the first time. I found the guide on the forums but cant even get past the first step. I"ve tried powering off the device, holding down the volume down button and holding the power button several times, waiting for it to boot into the download mode but whenever I do this, it turns on,shows me the samsung logo, then shuts off.it does this in and endless loop until I let go of both buttons and it just reboots as it normally would.
Anyone have any ideas?
regardless, if your tab is powered on or off, hold down the volume down (left) button... then while still holding it... hold down the power button.... keep holding down both.... once you see the splash scree "Tab" in white... release power... keep holding volume down.
A couple seconds later you will be at the prompt to select download mode or recovery
I did not see this very clear in any of the guides, but it is the same for all 3 of my samsung devices.
Thanks so much, I feel dumb now haha. Its odd b/c thats not how the HTC boot menu works. you hold down both.

[Q] galaxy tab2 10.1 wont enter download mode

I have new galaxy tab 10.1 which I am planning to root, however I cannot get unit to enter download mode. I have tried unsuccessfully at least 20 times using the recommended method of turning the unit completely off then holding the vol-/power buttons. I press the vol- slightly ahead of the power button and hold. All I get is the samsung splash looping over and over with no download or recovery menu icons popping up after the samsung splash. Once I let go, the tab will go into android recovery mode with the option to reboot which takes me to where I started. I have followed all of the tutorials to the tee. Is there another way to get to download mode? Should I take it back if this indicates a more serious problem.
I have also done a factory wipe/reset to no avail. Will vol+ / power do anything?
thanks for your interest I would appreciate any help.

I seem to recall that at least one variant swapped the button around. In any case, it can't hurt to try volume up.
Here's what you do - first, shut the device off by holding power down and waiting for the confirmation.
Then, when it's off, hold the volume down button (to the left side, next to the power button.) Holding that down, press and hold the power button. When you see it light up, release the power button but continue to hold volume down until you see the recovery/download icons.
If doing that doesn't work, try volume up and power. Good luck!
Ill try your suggestions. thank you

I'm having a similar problem. I have a galaxy tab 10.1 wifi that I rooted immediately when I got it. I havn't used it in about 4-5 months. I've already done all the odin and download stuff, but now i want to update my cwm and install a JB rom (I'm currently using aokp). I'm having a funny problem with it now -- Its difficult to turn on and impossible to get into download mode.
In order to turn on my tab, I have to hold down the power, connect the charging cable and get the download screen to turn on, then hold down the power again, wait for the screen to turn off, unplug the power and hold the power button until hopefully it turns on again. And this doesn't always work, sometimes I have to do it a few times. But whenever i've tried do the same thing that gets the tab working normally -- only holding the down volume as well as the power, Nothing happens.
Now once its on and working, things work great, but turning it on is a pain and its impossible for me to bring up the download or recovery option.
I've also tried to 'reboot to bootloader' and that doesn't work, although i can still 'reboot to recovery'
Any tips?

I have almost the exact same problem...
Volume up puts me into download mode and i can connect with Kies but it wont do the JB update
Voulume down ... nothing just boots
if i let it try to do the OTA update it will freeze at the boot screen and stay that way till the battery dies.
To get it to work again i have to do almost exactly what was decribe above..
I have no recovery options at all.
also my Tab is "NOT" rooted

I had a similar problem initially... the screen would just flash the "downloading" message, but the tablet wouldn't mount/connect to my laptop. Here's the solution:
1) launch odin
2) connect usb cable to laptop only
3) power down tablet
4) hold down the power volume down buttons together
5) when you see the downloading message, let go of the power button
6) let go of the volume down button (now just displays "downloading" message, but nothing happens
7) press volume UP
8) you'll get a message about installing custom ROMs and be given the option to do so by pressing volume UP again
9) the tablet mounts and connects to odin
10) from there follow the instructions for flashing recovery via odin (i.e., using PDA button...)
FYI just double check the guides again regarding download and recovery modes. In the thread title you mention Tab 2. This is the forum for the original Tab not the Tab 2. Both devices have different methods and key presses to access the various modes.

Need help booting into recovery

Hi,
I searched before asking, but came up empty. I'm attempting to install TWRP. Flashing it with Odin works just fine. Where I'm hung up is the next step, booting immediately into recovery.
The instructions I've seen are to hold down POWER, HOME, VOLUME-DOWN. When the screen goes blank, release VOLUME-DOWN and press VOLUME-UP while continuing to hold the other buttons.
With each try it just reboots the tablet normally. Is there some finer point to this that I'm missing?
Thanks
Found my own answer. I was releasing POWER-DOWN and pressing POWER-UP by sliding my finger from one to the other. Apparently there needs to be a momentary delay, releasing one then pressing the other.

[FIX] Secure Boot Error 1 minute solution

I have installed Crdroid Nougat ROM to my LG G2 D802 yesterday, everything was fine. After flashing something via recovery phone went dark. When I boot device it shows only LG logo with secure booting error, then the screen goes black while phone is still on. Download mode and recovery wasn't working. When I plug to usb computer was going crazy with device errors. I tried a lot of solutions like this , with ubuntu and windows 10. Nothing worked for me. After a few hours I found a simple solution in a forum. Worked for me, maybe work for others..
Press Power and Vol Down buttons together for about 10 seconds, When you see LG logo release for a half of second and immediately press and HOLD again Vol Down + Vol Up button. Factory reset screen will come. Select yes with vol down button and press power button to factory reset.

[Q] Lineage OS / screen unlock not working / can't get to TWRP

Old LG G5 I had previously installed Lineage on. Was in a drawer until I decided to charge it up and let one of my kids play games on it. When I input the correct screen lock pattern, it goes black, then comes back to lock screen.
I am able to hold power button to then select power off, restart, etc. From power off, I power on and get the orange triangle recommending to lock the bootloader. But no combination of power and vol-down or power and vol-up will get me to TWRP. It just rolls right back in to Lineage.
Also, from power off, if I plug in to my Linux laptop, it will power on and go to fastboot.
Feels like USB debug got turned off and/or trust somehow got revoked, but I never had this laptop connected to it so probably doesn't matter. But like I said, my unlock pattern is working. I get different response with correct pattern versus incorrect.
I'm also able to see the phone from my https://google.com/android/devicemanager page. I tried to send a secure and erase thinking it might let me start from scratch, but I only see a notification that "Device Located" and it never does anything.
And finally, lsusb -v does see the phone, but adb devices never does.
My question is any idea how to get back to TWRP to wipe and push an updated image or even put an updated TWRP?
Try this ...
It's like getting into Stock Recovery. To get into TWRP Recovery using button combination (hard reset) you'll need to hold volume down button and power button simultaneously, releasing power button (temporarily) once LG logo appears then quickly pressing and holding power button again, all the while maintaining hold on volume down button. The stock recovery message (white background) will appear requiring you to select volume up/down button to continue to reset software (see attached image). If you select yes it will appear to factory reset but will actually boot into TWRP.
Hope that helps!
