Which roms are flashfire compatible? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hey guys. So I'm new to this device. And I updated to OC1 without knowing the consequences... Such as no SMS or Data...(I'm on T-Mobile) But I got root and installed stang5litre rom. AFAIK custom recoveries are a no no. So my only option of installing a rom is through flashfire. Now which roms can I install using this program?
Thanks in advance.

I would also like to know this, as it doesn't seem Flashfire is supported by most ROMs, but they still might work. I suppose if it failed once to Odin to stock and try another ROM...

If you're on OC1 the only Roms that you can flash are TW which there are only like 4 and the only stable one is Strang5Litre which I personally recommend.

You can only flash through Safestrap if you are on NC5. Trying to flash via other ways such as Rom Manager, CWM, or TWRP is going to brick your phone. If you read any of the threads on your device, you would know this.

There is no way at this time (and may never be) to install a custom recovery whether it is CWM or TWRP on bootloaders newer than MDK. You can root these phones but that's about it. Look into running safestrap if you want to run a custom rom (TW based only).

No, however there is SafeStrap. This would be your best bet for custom roms for the time being, granted they must be compatible. They are still working on SS so keep an eye one it as they are trying to make it so you can flash any rom.

I have a stock rooted ROM here and am working on a deodexed version but I see no benefit/need for creating an Odin version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...l/how-to-update-to-g900tof6-5-1-1-pc-t3141404
just asking . apparently with this root method of using a permissive kernel, the privacy mode is broken. any idea if that can be fixed and keep root?
benefit is that it's everything in a single package. including bootloader, modem etc.. twrp is good for flashing a different rom of the same version but for upgrades it's better to use odin. imho.

Those ROM's flash everything but recovery.
Exactly. And u don't wanna flash recovery after u get a custom recovery on board
I'm using cm 12.1. The nighlies are good enough for a daily driver and I love it compared to touchwiz

The ROM for 5.1.1 isn't flashable through FlashFire to keep root and Knox 0x0 right?

Correct, you need a custom kernel to root 5.1 which trips the warranty bit any way you flash it.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S 5 (G900T). T-Mobile Un-locked and now using on At&t Straight Talk and i want to root it I am on Lollipop 5.1.1 with firmware G900TUVU1FOG6 look for the best option and safest Ty

If you want a custom rom just install twrp and get on a og6 rom.
or you could use @ShinySide root method to keep stock rom and obtain root.
However both trip Knox oh well Knox is nothing on s5

I just decided to test non stock ROMS on my TMO S5

I have a TMO S5 that I use on AT&T. It is rooted and right now I'm using the AT&T stock rom and is working ok. I have not tried any non stock because of the Know fuse, but today I just decided that I don't care anymore about that.
Is there any way to flash custom roms using FlashFire or do I have to flash a custom recovery like TWRP?
If so what is the best and easiest way to flash twrp recovery?
Thanks in advance

Best way is custom recovery. Research which you feel most comfortable using then find instructions to use Odin for install. Once you have a custom recovery, you're ready to flash any compatible custom ROM you want. Just make sure to always make a backup.

Custom recovery is great, you just need to do research on which recovery to get (CWM,TWRP,Philz) and you should also consider what type of custom rom you want to get (Touchwiz,Cyanogenmod, etc)
With Custom Recovery, you can backup your current rom and restore it if the Custom Rom isn't exactly your cup of tea without losing most of your data.
