No custom Lollipop N3 Roms? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi all,
Seeing that the N5 is so disappointing with no sd slot or removable battery - I'm wondering if anyone is working on a customized, cleaned up, faster and or themed version of the stock N3 lolly rom?
I've tried all of the N4, S6, N5 ports and while they have some nice features they just aren't as stable and bug free as I feel the real N3 lolly rom could be.
Thanks,
Jack

[Q] What would be the best ROM for me?

Hello everyone!
With the new S-OFF Finally up to par, I now have unlocked my DNA! I am looking to switch from the 4.1.1 that comes with the phone to 4.2.2 but can't seem to make heads nor tails of the newer ROM threads. Here's what I am looking for:
Wireless Charging Working
HTC Media Link Working
SENSE 5.0 is a huge plus
Better Battery
Better Performance
Less bloatware
Root is optional
TOGGLES!!!
Please everyone, let me know your experience on what is the most complete ROM for this phone to use on a regular basis. I have tried looking over the ROM threads, but these days they look like a lot of tech info without the easy to read points in there
Thanks!
If you want 4.2 then you won't be getting sense.

Well, I could do without as long as the rest is working. What would be best in that case? Odd no 4.2.2 Sense 5 out yet.
Newtoroots sense 5 rom is a good sense 5 rom meets all of your requirements but it isn't on 4.2.2 but when that's released to this phone the rom will be updated to 4.2.2

Thanks, installed the ROM yesterday. Pretty nice, can't wait for 4.2.2 or 4.3!

Difference between Google edition ROM and cyanogenmod 10.1

I was just wondering what is the difference they look very similar. I am currently running a TW clean ROM with all the bload ware removed and wanted to try something else. I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong section!

GE 4.2.2 still has most of the TW framework in it natively. Where as any TW stuff in CM was added.
CM also has more user changeable options. GE is pretty much how it is

It's cool. I'm on slim right now. Lol. When I can't work on my own priests for whatever reason I try to mix it up a bit. :good:

I've tried about all of the current ROM's on my S4. I personally like CM the best. It is the closest thing to a 100% stock Google ROM there is.

I personally would disagree with that. CM has way too many customizations to be anywhere near pure aosp. I'm not saying they aren't welcomed customizations but they are indeed customizations. I personally am not a huge fan of pure aosp because of the lack of customizations baked into the settings.

Well I just installed CyanogenMod gonna give it a try.

You really can't go wrong with CyanogenMod. :good:
I'd also recommend ChameleonOS by @Treken as it is sower solid and with personal conversations with trek he has shown to be very knowledgeable and under the same mindset that IMO all Linux/android Devs should be under. That is ask each other questions, share knowledge you gained by doing a task that caused troubles, and in general do not withhold info or ignore other Dev questions. :good:
And for another plug of an aosp ROM id also suggest SlimRom just because it is wicked light and plenty capable.
ChaOS and Slim are the only AOSP ROMs I've ran in over a month on the gs4. My nexus 7 just runs PACman.

S4 camera mod/apk for TW based ROM

Does any know if there is an S4 camera mod/apk that will work on TW Based ROM
- I have a Verizon Note 2 running Jelly Beans Build 20.
I did find a S4 camera from Alliance ROM but before I try it, I wanted to know if there is a better option.
I'm real skeptical that the S4 camera will work for me on my current ROM.

These won't work unless hacked as it is 4.2 based

You should probably edit your title and put [REQ] in front of it, because your title now implies it's in this thread.
I will say I want this mod too, but I doubt it's gonna happen. Too many differences. It would be a hack and slash probably with not many features and mostly a different interface.

Sansung Galaxy Tab4 7.0 (SM-T230NU) Roms

Id like to see some SM-T230NU Roms start gettin out and about to test and start geting the ball rolling.....any idea about any good ones floating around>??<< Post them here if youd like.
How about a basic cm11 to start with.
Sent from my SM-T230NU using XDA Free mobile app
That would beautiful if you ask me
I'd like to see any ROM options to tell you the truth. But most important to me is OTG+Charging. So any ROM that has that I'm super excited for.
Thanks for any ROM effort on our devices.
:highfive:
Oh man OTG would actually be perfect. ...and yah no problem I've ran a forum on the evo 3D and the LG g2 before and I cant wait to play around with the tab4.....learning is the best
You are right leaning is the best.
I would love some help wrapping my head around the ROM development process. Especially, if it helps our devices.
Is anyone capable and competent enough to help with development? I am willing to learn and pick things up fairly quickly if we start a project.
OTG is not supported by hardware, so I won't count on that feature. Blame Marvell
I'd love to see ANY custom ROM for SM-T230NU though... I got mine rooted, debloated and I have TWRP installed which flashes ZIPs, but I'm eagerly waiting for AOSP ROMs for this tab. It's gonna take some time because I heard there's no AOSP reference for PXA1088 board, which Tab 4 7.0" uses.
I think there are no other devices that use that particular Marvell SoC. That'a what makes it so hard to make a custom ROM.
Tab 3 7.0 had the previous gen Marvell Dual Core CPU and they waited almost a year to have CM11 at least booting up.
Crap

Just got a Tab 4 7.0 for my 3yr old son, and I hate TW on it. It's so so slow. Some CM or GPE roms would definitely bring this thing to life.
I'm going to need some help to compile cm for this device. I want to port candy kat to this device like other developers did on the samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0

Hey guys I have an idea. What if I use safariking's stock rom and replace everything on that rom with stock android 4.4 and get rid of the touchwiz. I can probably replace the system ui with a stock system ui. Would that be possible or not.

looks like I should have got a 530 instead of the 230....

No that will not work if you replace all the samsung apps with aosp apps that will give some fc conflicts etc... it is still a samsung based rom touchwiz is touchwiz nothing you can do about it an i would highly recommend not to change teh systemui you will get fc!
Ok sorry thought it would work.

Hmm are there really no devices with the Marvell PXA1088 else than the tab4 t230 :/ Porting gonna be hard.

Yes you need permission to share the download link for a ROM you didn't make, the proper course of action would have been to link to the thread of the ROM
Check out my ROMs:

Lollipop ROM
best ROM for performance:
Google inc ROM

imo TW-based Android 5 is unlikely for i9300 unless the n7100 gets an update (which itselfs seems unlikely).
Either way, we already have unofficial CM12 (courtesy: some really cool devs) and that's good enough for daily use. In fact. it's much smoother than any TW could ever be.
I´m on "[WIP] [Beta 1] [2014-12-22] CyanogenMod 12 for i9300". And for me it´s much smoother than all Stock Custom Roms based on 4.3.
It´s Beta, so no perfectly but very smooth. I´m incredibly satisfied :good:
Here are so much excellent Developers, so i think when there is a chance to get a Port from Note for example we will see good running Touchwiz Rom
