Hello everyone,i wanted to ask if when you do a flash of a stock firmware with Odin, there is a Full Wipe bringing the Notes 2 SCH-i605(first was his, now it has passed to me)to factory,because my sister said that any Samsung flash a stock firmware with Odin is No Wipe!

What would be the best way to go from any custom rom back to a stock rom. Wipe data, cache, dalvik cache in recovery, the shut down phone and flash stock rom via odin? Or should I also wipe system before flashing?

You don't need to do any wipes through CWM if you are going to be flashing a stock Odin rom, odin automatically takes care of all that stuff. You can just boot your phone into download mode as is and flash the odin rom.

you can flash with complete wipe ...

wipe data factory
wipe dalvik cahe
wipe cache partitions

I currently have a rooted firmware on my phone and would like to go back to official stock, the question being can i just flash it back using odin and official firmware? would i re-partition to get it back to when i first bought the phone? would i not have to clean the kernel script or anything because i dont want anything left on my phone

Are you using a stock rooted ROM?
If yes, just flash a stock kernel

what is the best option to wipe the entire phone so i could trade in my device
do i only have to boot to recovery then factory reset , wiping cache , en davlik cache ? and thats it ?

Correct. But, the custom recovery will not disappear. Flash a stock rom if you want to delete everything.

the phone shop takes my s2 en give me a huge discount on the s3
with only a 1 year contract

probably not the best thing to do but flash pit in odin lol it defo wont boot and should wipe data lol lololololol then find the thread on bootloaders and reflash stock bootloader before you take it back ifya wantin to lololol
Format cache, data, system, & internal sd in CWM. Flash stock rom in Odin. Jig if necessary. Done.

The info i have so far
I know i can download the file from Sammobile and flash it via odin and i'll backup the files
Question are
1.Should i preform a wipe before or after flashing the ics to avoid getting stuck at Samsung Logo
2.Should i have Phone,CSC before i flash this rom
3. Are there any more Info i should know before flashing
I'll be leaving my town soon.. i won't have time to flash anymore leaked R.O.M:crying: thought i'll upgrade it via ota or kies
Just make a wipe data, cache and dalvik cache from cwm and than flash with odin the rom you want.

Depends upon what method you are going to use..
If cwm then do what the person above me said..
If using odin.. You don't need to wipe anything.. Guessing from the fact that you downloaded firmware from samfirmware.. You will be using odin.. So just flash the rom.. Install cwm recovery and then boot.. So that in case you are stuck at boot screen... You can wipe data from recovery rather than a factory reset..
By the way I am typing from my phone.. So expect typos!!
D experience learnt was from s2... where tried to downgrade from ics to gb...do wipe all (cache & data factory rset)..then flash or odun it...
