4.4.4, root, xposed, boost mode.
I Tried with greenify 2.6.2 and 2.7.1.
I use Llama. Its similar to tasker.
1 The wake function supplied by the locale plugin from greenify, I use in llama, does not wake whatsapp.
2 The sleep function to hybernate, supplied from the locale plugin (from greenify), also does not put the greenified apps to sleep.
Only if one selects a certain app (instead of "all greenified" the sleep for this app works.
@oasisfeng: Could you or anybody else please comment on that !
If the Tasker plugin of Greenify works, I've no idea why it does not work in Llama. Does Llama use the API specification compatible with Tasker?

THX for reply ...
Who tested if this really works in tasker for the versions specified ??

The built in smart tags app is great, but its lacking a lot of the more powerful features of Tasker (which is already used by many), however tasker doesn't include support for nfc tags (yet?).
So I put together a little app which allows you to combine the two, smarttags app allows you to open a url when it senses a tag so this app allows you to use urls in the format tasker://<taskname> to call your tasker tasks (where <taskname> is the name of your task defined in the tasker settings).
This also allows you to use writeable tags written with the tasker:// url to launch tasker actions directly.
If anyone wants to try it out its available here-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aledthomas.taskerurllauncher
note: task names are CASE SENSITIVE, and (obviously) you must have tasker installed before installing this app or it wont work
Hopefully tasker will have nfc support someday but until then this works.
What a great idea
There's also an app called nfc retag which can call tasker tasks, the app works worth read only tags as well ( basically it just remembers the unique id of the tag react on that).
Now the downside of nfc retag is that the sony app associates itself with the smart tags and therefore launches a dialogue box and asks which app to use... With your app one could simply just use the build in app when using rewritable tags

I have wake-up tracking enabled on rooted Galaxy S5 6.0.1, Greenify v3.9.5. With Greenify open, if I long-press on an app awaiting hibernation that wakes up frequently, then press the menu dots I get a "Check convention fulfillment" option. Greenify then shows a transient pop-up message "Not targeting API 24+". However I do not know, and cannot find an answer on Greenify support or anywhere else, as to what this means. Does it mean that the Greenify hibernation mechanism is only targeting API 24+ for these hard-to-keep-hibernated apps or that the apps themselves target API 24+ and are therefor hard for Greenify to work with? Marshmallow 6.0.1 is API 23. Does this mean that I need to install an older version of Greenify in order to target my API 23 system, or do I need to find older versions of the hard-to-keep-hibernated system apps such as Google App, Gallery, ShootingModeProvider, etc. Camera is a special nightmare to keep hibernated. It appears that Google wants to keep the Camera on at all times.
Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks,
Bruce

Best guidance is to stop trying to hibernate everything vs concentrating on the small subset of app/services that disrupt sleep/doze or otherwise exhibit 'bad behaviors. Blanket hibernation is a fools errand that offers no benefits and will likely increase power draw and side effects. Responding to your core question is much easier when there is an actual problem to solve.

Thank you for your opinion regarding the relative number of apps to hibernate, Davey, and for pointing out that, technically speaking, I posed the wrong question. I will certainly consider your opinion.
As to my question, let me try this again... Can anyone who understands the "Wake-up Tracking" functionality in Greenify please provide a technical explanation of the output of "Wake-up Tracking" or point me to Greenify documentation with such explanation?
Many thanks!
Bruce

Update your app portfolio...including Greenify itself.
Thx for reading, and please forgive my poor English.
The Greenify is the best app I had been used for cut-off apps. But I found that there are two problem:
(My phone is Xiaomi MI MIX 2S running MIUI 10 8.6.18 [Android O], with Greenify Version 4.1)
1. Can not create hibernation shortcut
When I tried to create a hibernation shortcut, the Greenify noticed that the creating was succeed. But I can not find out the shortcut in my launcher. Neither type of shortcut can be created. And I don't know why and how to fix it.
An additional detail:
when I used the permission manager to make sure that the Greenify need to request my approval to create a shortcut and then I tried to create a hibernation shortcut, there was no prompt box for requesting approval (Under normal circumstances there should be a prompt box). It seemed that somehow the Greenify did not work properly in shortcut creating.
2. Wake-up Tracker often disabled for unknown reasons
I enabled Wake-up Tracker and after a while I found that Wake-up Tracker had been disabled. Then I enabled again, after a while it had been disabled again.
Please tell me how to fix these problem, any guidance is appreciated.

I am surprised by the details furnished by you including device details, though it is your first post. Usually it is a case of "Unable to create shortcut, anyone has any idea" sort of posts that we encounter. Thanks for providing the details, though I may not be able to offer solutions.
I also faced the Wakeup Tracker issue before I uninstalled Greenify, so I have no solution for this.
Reg. the creation of shortcut, try clearing the data and cache of Greenify/uninstall and reinstall etc. If none of them work, MIUI may be an issue since it reportedly heavily modifies the Android OS.
Having said that, I would advice you to uninstall Greenify and use your phone for a couple of days. You may be surprised by the way the phone behaves even without Greenify.
I am one of the votaries of the belief (with reason) that apps like Greenify are not needed on Oreo since the OS itself behaves very well. Unless you specifically find some app misbehaving which can not be controlled without apps like Greenify, simply enjoy your device.

Yes, You may not know that, a huge of apps which developed by Chinese companies and provided to Chinese are designed strangely, they are trying their best to stay in background, call up each other and push AD messages in notification bar (sorry if I misspelled), and the companies have some agreements with Chinese OS provider such as Xiaomi to avoid killing their apps in background in Chinese version Android OS.
One of them is Alibaba, which has three most popular app in China, Taobao, Tmall and Alipay. But these three apps are designed to keep alive as much as possible and call up each other very frequently, just for push messages to introduce goods on Taobao and Alibaba's wide range of services, applications and merchandise. (BTW, I believe that a big part of app keep-alive technologies are developed by the programmers in Chinese companies.)
So maybe You can understand my pain. _зゝ∠)_

Greenify version? Rooted? Xposed?
For my device details see signature block.
I assume you don't require a video how to search the web. Such a serach with the keyworks "greenify", "help" and "adb" provides e.g. following page at the very top that most likely satisfies your needs.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this thread but I can't see any feature request thread anywhere.
So as the title says, I would like to request a feature that is similiar to Smart Hibernation, except that it will avoid Dozing the phone if it detects any notification of application(s) added to its list.
Of course there should be an extra menu to add Smart Doze list. This way I don't have to disable Aggressive Doze everytime I cast something. I keep losing connection with Aggresive Doze on when I cast Youtube / other apps to Chromecast. Only disabling Aggressive Doze fixes it. (Yes I did put Youtube on doze white list)
Probably Smart Doze is not the right name but you get the point I'm using android 6.0.1 Galaxy Note 4
Thanks in advance!
Off topic : I think should we have a feature request thread? That way oasisfeng can read all the feature requests in one thread

Assuming that I've correctly understood your addressed requirement, and my assumption might be wrong that would void everything coming behind, the requested feature/function is already available as one of the Xposed-based features; and actually working perfectly.
I'm well aware that not everybody wants to use Xposed for some reasons beyond the scope of the Greenify forum but I think it's simply that way that you can't get lots of functionalities if you're unrooted, you receive more power if rooted, but for some functionalities you ultimately require the Xposed framework.

I guess you misunderstood? Let me rephrase my experience in points.
- My chromecast keeps disconnecting from my phone if I cast Youtube / other apps after a few minutes when screen is off
- Already put all casting apps to doze whitelist
- Can be fixed by setting Aggresive Doze off but I want to keep it on

Aggressive doze generally does not yield significant power savings relative to standard doze. Switch it off and profit.

I apologise; it's correct I clearly misunderstood. Lacking own experiences with chromecast or other casting apps and the apps not being part of my portfolio, I'm unable to test myself. Just imagine its utilisation, I currently don't understand why to greenify chromecast and the others at all. At least I didn't do that with applications I want them to run even if the screen is off like OsmAnd+, my mapping and navigation app for hiking and biking, and 15 (just counted them) others for various reasons. On average, I get a battery drainage of 0.5 - 0.7%/h, which is absolutely satisfying to me under special consideration that my devices is running and doing its job as advertised and required by me under all conditions. I never tried but personally doubt that I'd gain a lower drainage if I greenify the aformentioned applications.

On android 7.0+ maybe but on 6.0 Aggresive doze really helps a lot.

Doze on the go (Xposed section) is the setting you want on Android 6 which is the default on Android 7.x and above. If Aggressive Doze is helping "a lot" then something else is happening under the covers. Whether it is worth pursuing is up to you.

Smart doze isn't needed IMO; you have a specialized situation on an EOL Android base. Would rather see the developer focus on other progressive functionality.
Greenify isn't a 'doze tweaker' - nor should it become one. Plenty of other largely ineffective apps/modules/tools apps in that crowded space.
I'll step out of the ring now and allow your request to progress on its own merits.
I want to automate some hibernation with tasker.
But it does not add just this task to my tasks. All other greenify tasks are working.

I'd really appreciate if pictures (files) are made available at locations that doesn't require to log-in with Google. Personally, I'm not willing at all to share anything with Google i.e. currently unable to proceed in regard to your request.
There are quite a few privacy friendly alternatives available in the web; just two as an example: https://framapic.org/ or https://filebin.net/.

FWIW - You may want to consider Xposed Edge if you like grain control. I have found the Greenify/Tasker interface to be wanting at times.
This is how i combined Greenify in Shallow hibernation mode and Tasker https://imgur.com/a/ZL90uCH
