Squeaking Battery Cover - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have a problem with squeaking cover ? It makes sounds when I press the power button (and around it) and it also happens when I press the cover in indicated area (on the opposite side). Like the cover is loose in this general area or something. I've checked with my firends "note 2" but he doesn't have this problem.
Can I somehow repair it ?

try to buy another backcover oO

This seems to be a common problem, but mine was at the lower part of the device, on both sides.
I added some painters tape inside where the back cover snaps to the phone and now it is fine. No more squeaking which was very annoying.

No problems but with the case you will not have these problems. I find some backcover on aliexpress for just 3€.

Mine squeaks like its two years old and has been stamped on by a small child. It's annoying. A very thin smear of blu tack on the sides works well.

Did anyone solve this issues by using an alternative back cover? I was wondering if this was caused by a problem in the cover or the device itself. . .

Grrrrr.. My screen looks like the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico....

Today all of a sudden I got this (see image) on my HD2.
The "mar" looks the same when the phone is on or off..
Anyone here who might know what could have caused this, and how to fix it?
Please note that the HD2 was inside a plastic box (in the car), and that the screen itself does not show any crack's, scratches, dents and/or holes.

Have you replaced the glass on your screen? I've did and I got exactly the same patch that appeared over time.

No.. This is an untouched HD2.
its the layers of the screen/digitizer/glass sticking together. SOme people have reported success by using a suction cup to gently pull on the glass.
Thank you for the info. I'm going to give the suction cup a go.
I still have no clue what caused this..

Discolor battery cover (white)

My white battery cover is becoming discolored. I would say it looks exactly like a marble with streaks. It happens when I put my phone in one of my black velour cloth/case that I had for my hard drive. The discolor cannot be cleaned with cloth, water, or glass cleaner. It seems to be below the glossy surface. The more I put it in the case the more streaks it develops.
I have called Samsung about it but they refuse to send me a new one saying that I probably did something to it. At&t local stores are completely out of stock so can't do an exchange either.
It doesn't look bad but just strange. lol

I've not seen discoloration like this - Samsung or AT&T should replace that for you.
Personally, I'm buying a replacement battery cover so I can take my stock one off and put it in the box and never use it again until I sell my device. They are FAR too easy to damage one way or another (if nothing else, scratching). I'm just buying a cheap one from eBay because I plan on keeping my GS3 in my Incipio Silicrylic case 99.5% of the time and I don't really care much if I have a stock battery cover on or not.

Closing the back cover is a P.I.T. A
Took me one hour when i first bought the phone.
You have to play with it. Take the whole cover off and try again
HTC One MAX
Any tips then? I can get everything aligned and fitted but top right and thus it wont lock.

I make sure one side is snapped in well then i move my fingers around the whole perimeter snapping the rest in. It's not difficult it just takes a bit of manipulating. The back cover is very thin so as not to add any more weight to the One Max, so be careful It wouldn't be hard to dent or wrinkle it. If you're still having trouble seating it, It may be that you pulled it a little while taking it off and it flexed out of position. Try taking it off completely and gently bend it back.

DAYJOY Luxury Aluminum Alloy bumper case

Anyone use these cases? What you think? I just ordered the silver.

I don't have one but have looked at it many times on ebay.
Makes me wonder if the back panel is gonna pop off if you drop the device and then the phone goes flying and the glass cracks in to thousand pieces?? ...the back panel is being put in place by some kind of snap on feature. I would Like to see screw assembly instead.

I have one that says Yoo Don on the packaging but it looks the same. I put it on and took it right back off because it is impossible to open charging flap with fingernail, might be able to with a knife tip or something. The back does indeed snap into place and seems pretty secure but wouldn't expect it to add any protection if phone was dropped.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I will let you know what I think when mine comes in a couple of weeks.

Having the same issues here...
Any solutions?
Your case is rubbing against the tablet's back and rubbing out bald spots. The back cover is an ABS plastic frame spray-coated with a very thin layer of silicone rubber. Any friction applied to that rubber layer will result in bald spots, as it's a very non-durable material. Nothing you can do about it except stop using that case.
The n9 back is so sensible, mine is ruined by a rotating case that I bought to protect it ?
