When my phone is in fastboot mode (blue LED) FlashTool log prints message "INFO - Device connected in fastboot mode" but this is all what I can get. Nothing else works in this mode. FlashTool wants me to set device into fastboot mode but it is in this mode at the moment.
Open your phone at fastboot mode when it asks. I mean a window will open when you click the bolt, select fastboot and select the thing you wanna do. And do what it says.

Also i can not enter fastboot with any key while plugging the usb into the phone.
Any suggestions?
thx

are you sure you are entering fastboot mode in a proper way? power off the phone, hold vol down button and connect to pc, if the led turns blue you are in fastboot mode.
edit:
it seems you are trying this on x8 or similar phone, hold menu and connect the device
Think so......

Okay, there are 2 things:
1. This is xperia mini pro sk17i forum and not x10 mini pro, so better ask there
2. On our phone it's volume up to enter fastboot and please install all drivers for all devices/modes from flashtool folder -> drivers, too...

Remove the drivers first, then reinstall Flashtool drivers, report back when you have done that.
Hello!
I have an Xperia P for about 14 months now.
2 days before my Xperia P crashed and didn't respond on touch or other buttons.
I made a "SOFT RESET" holding Power btn + Volume up but didn't started again.
I tried to start my phone by pressing the power button. The screen was ON and the "SONY" logo appeared, but it never went further and it couldn't even shutdown via Poewr button. I disassebled the phone and disconnect-reconnect the battery.
It wasn't charging when charger plugged in, but it managed to connect either in "flashmode" or in "fastboot mode" to my pc. I tried to flash a new kernel and this is the Flashtool log:

Nope
Try leaving the phone on the outlet for a few hours whether it has a led lighting or not (worth a shot) and after that, try connecting into the flash mode. If you've managed to connect to the flash mode, flash this. http://forum.xda-
developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344987 it is the stock jelly bean on the .100 patch.

Try this too.
Edit 2: Oh and since you've managed to pull out the battery the first time, try doing it again but leave it after disconnecting it for a few minutes.

I tried to "herd reset" the device in several different situations.
- Connected to pc
- Connected to charger (witch i think is the same)
- After disconnecting-connecting the battery
- After leaving the battery disconnected from device for hours (for the capacitors being completely discharged)
any other idea? I am desperate...

I'm trying to unlock my bootloader, i've already installed ADB and fastboot drivers from sonys website and the Android SDK platform-tools with adb and fastboot
Both ADB and fastboot recognize my device, i've approved the device's RSA fingerprint from my phone, and I can run the command ADB reboot bootloader to get into fastboot.
Fastboot devices shows my correct device and I can run fastboot getvar version which returns 5.0
I can run fastboot reboot, and fastboot devices without any problem
When I try to unlock my device I get this error

In the same place where you enabled USB debugging (to enable ADB), developer options of settings.
You won't ever see a screen in fastboot mode, just a color LED, same with flashmode. The only time you'll see a screen is if you hit the volume buttons after the amber light during boot, which takes you into software update mode, (recovery)
Never mind found it in dev settings cant believe I missed such a small thing to create huge problems lol all done
Hi guys,
i try rooting my z5c with this tutorial.
I'm stuck on 5.7 (Flash your patched Kernel to your phone with this command: fastboot flash boot kernel-patched.elf)
The Process always stops at " <waiting for device> "
fastboot devices has no output
flashtool output:
05/044/2016 20:44:55 - INFO - Starting phone detection
05/044/2016 20:44:59 - INFO - Device connected in fastboot mode

OS: Win10
Flashtool drivers installed: Fastboot, Flashmode, Xperia Z5c
I installed them skipping the untrusted driver signature warning, ohterwise it would have failed.
The devicemanagement says: Android Device > Sony Fastboot Interface
Would be nice if someone could help
Edit: It worked now but I have absolutely now idea why. I was away for a few hours and simply tried again. OS not rebooted and phone off during this time. Just turned it into fastboot mode again but i did this several times earlier without any effect.
Nice to see you solved, in my experience it's usually driver problems looking in Device Management.
