I am looking for the calendar app from the recent update. Does anyone have it, I am still on NC5, but i like that calendar app from OF1 (whatever is the most recent update) better. Any help would be great!

it won't work. the calendar is a system component that is heavily reliant on other things to be exactly the same (for example, lollipop versions of Google syncing apks, etc)
so unfortunately it won't work and even if someone had the apk, it won't install for you. sorry.

Does the facebook app still do that annoying authenticating thing once a day on sense 3.6 roms?

Also does maps still cause a reboot on older firmware on sense 3.6?

Maps works on global firmware, but not anything older.

This is incorrect. I have the OTA (3.14 or whatever it was) and Maps works fine now. No reboots.
EDIT: Speaking of which is 4.01/4.02 an actual OTA? I never got it.

Maybe it was fixed on Google's end.
I just know that when they first updated it with the new icon, it didn't work on older firmwares.

Ya it appears to be fixed on Google's end. Although I'm still on the leak before the ota so we shall see

Current Google Maps works on all GB & ICS ROMs on the Rezound with no issues, and has since version 6.11.1 (current is 6.12.0 I believe). Google fixed it a while back.
The Facebook authentication issues is tricky, it's not really a Facebook app thing, more of how the FB app and Facebook for HTC Sense work together. The key is to only sync stuff from one service, if you do both you will have issues. Best thing to do is remove all apps and updates for Facebook, delete all Facebook accounts, and add the Facebook account back in with no Facebook app loaded (using FB for HTC Sense), then install the latest FB app and when it asks about importing contacts or setting up sync make sure NOT to do it. Since I did it this way everything is in sync and I have not had a single auth issue.
The other way around it is delete all FB apps and accounts, then go to Facebook for HTC Sense and clear data, then disable FB for HTC Sense, reboot and add in the Facebook app and then the account... but it seems to me you do not get Calendar or Live Feed synchronization of data this way (effects widgets and calendar events).
Its finally here
Complete stock beautiful google calendar not fron any mods, but as a google app!

I just can't understand why Samsung had to force S-Planner down our throats... Is it for Air View?
Nonetheless, I'm thankful Google released this. Maybe they should also release the default messenger (SMS) app too.

Theres more to it than air-view. At least for me using exchange sync...
S-Planner at least allows you to reply/forward from the Calendar. Google still has not figured it out. This is essential for me and I suspect a lot of others using exchange sync in corporate environments.
I also happen to like the pinch to zoom being used for shifting from day/week/month view on S-Planner while I miss the pinch to zoom on Google's version :/ - Can't have both I guess.
Figured I'd share for those of you who use gmail on a regular basis. You can download the newest release of gmail from the play store. To enable the zoom feature (which is completely awesome) go into the general settings in gmail and then check the box to enable auto-fit.
Didn't even notice it auto updated. Thanks!

Excellent find OP. This setting has been a looooooooooooong time coming and was desperately needed.
l had the modded version with the Swype to delete but I reinstalled the original with the zoom and I'm loving every minuteof it! Thanks otherwise I never would have payed attention to the update.

No Problem. Just figured I'd share it with everyone.
Hello guys
I'm having an issue with the HTC messaging app. It keeps forgetting the contact images on the threads.
It appears there's no fix so I decided to use Hangouts. Hangouts doesn't seem to be working right either.
When ever I want to send a photo message. It prompts me with what app do I wanna use to find a media. I choose "always" on Photo or Gallery and proceed to send the photo. Then when I wanna do it again it forgot what I had set as default before and prompts me with it again.
Any way to fix that?

1. Is hangouts fully updated?
2. Are you using a custom ROM?

Yes and no. I'm using stock ROM and the app is running the latest version that's available to me via the Play Store.

Try disabling auto updates in Google Play and then downgrade to hangouts v2.4.78234730 . It seems that the new upgrade is losing settings. See productforums.google.com/d/msg/hangouts/OVWO3hrglNo/n5EB8R4s78kJ for instructions on how to downgrade Hangouts. You can ignore the stuff on dialer, probably.
I'm not sure if you are having the same issue since they are different settings but it could be related. Perhaps the new app is losing everything.
Oh hey we can actually close this. It no longer relevant.

Is there anywhere I can get the stock email app from Google that gets updated with any frequency?
I found one that is the initial Kit Kat version but nothing newer, and with all the updates that the gmail app has gotten I'm sure the email app has gotten at least one.
Thanks in advance.

The Email.apk does not get updated near as much as Gmail. I think the latest version should be:
4.4.2 -f71429d610
The only version I see is when i hit submit feedback and it's listed as v6.0-893803

I think the other # is how it displays in Titanium Backup. Had a friend look for me since I do not use the app and never have. But yea, 6.0 is the newest with the newer UI with the sliding menus and what not. Don't think it's been updated in months.
OK, thank you for the assistance
