My brother wants me to root his galaxy alpha and install a new rom and maybe a kernel for better optimization?
Anyway could some one please send me some links to some stable roms and maybe a kernel.
I would really appreciate it.

Slim Rom Build 7.0 Official (Android 4.4.4) is released for Galaxy S3 I9300. Have any one tried flashing it?. I couldn't get the instructions for flashing and reviews in any of the sites except the download link in the Slimroms site http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/downloads/dlsearch/viewcategory/1062-i9300
Please share the link for the instructions and possibly reviews.

Flash it like any other ROM.
The ROM is like any other AOSP based one. Nothing special.

Could you provide me the download links for Slim Rom Build 7.0 Official and Gapps for 4.4.4 for Galaxy S3 I9300 and Galaxy S2 SGH T989(aka hercules).
I am getting confused which to download from Slimroms site. I am under STABLE section for I9300 but at the top it shows that I am under UNSTABLE section. Please refer attached image.

I think the top heading might be incorrect as v7 is the latest stable version

Very stable? Haha, any KitKat rom isn't fully stable for S3.
Be wary of people who think I'm wrong, lots of people as me are using a custom 4.4 based rom and consider them greater than 4.3 Samsung and AOSP ones, but there are some bugs, mainly stupid and acceptable.
Stay on the latest M build of the "excellent" (I won't repeat "greatful" ) CyanogenMod 11

Hi all galaxy alpha owners , i have just purchased a new Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850Y , but now i see that there are no custom roms for it ? not even cyanogenmod .... is this true or am i missing something . The SM-G850Y is also the eqynox version sold officially in India , pls help.....

Hi, I am G850Y user from Taiwan. My device stay at 4.4.4 for a long time and still have no update news now.
Then I come to XDA and search some lollipop rom, but unfortunately all of them are not for G850Y.
The rom of SM-G850F Galaxy Alpha OzcanRom attracts me the most.
So I try to replace the boot.img (kernel) from Australia version and the modem.img from my original version.
(If it is not allowed, please let me know)
Finally, I got a very smooth lollipop system and I think it is error-free.
I think you can try this way to make you own G850Y rom.

Yes, I did it.
It is easy to do by using Winrar, just replace the image which you want.
Lol just sell it its garbage everyone here regrets buying it
Next time do more research before buying a phone

This group has an unofficial ROM already installed on my G850Y, and successful work.:good:

The only ROM for G850Y: 'ResurrectionRemix' hasn't been updated since July 2015 (current version is 5.5.0), while for every other version, it is updated almost every month.. not to mention 'ResurrectionRemix M' also released for them!
Disappointed on buying the G850Y.
Just change the model number to SM-G850F and you can get a lot of ROMs. Just go to file manager, build.prop.
i tried to Download Albe95 ASTRA Note 5 PORT V2.5 but didn't work. I need some help with a compatible rom for my phone like that if you can and i really enjoy xda.Thanks for help anyway. Now on my device i ahve CyanogenMod 13 by nightly and i want a samsung custom rom with android 5+.

HI! I'm new here and I've been flashing ROMS years ago. So, on my tablet, Galaxy P1000, CM11 helped it to support many applications from Google Play. And my question is that, is there any ROM like CM11 that can be flashed in Galaxy Quattro? CM11 on Quattro has a lot of bugs, so...
I tried a lot of ROMS from here but it doesn't support PoGo.
I liked MIUI v6 so far...
