Recently, my friend wiped his tablet including the internal storage and when he tries to reboot to the system, TWRP says "No OS Installed". I then decided to flash a rom to his device, it was successful according to TWRP, but when I boot into the system, it goes back to TWRP. So now i don't have anymore ideas but if anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it ! All i want to do is to unroot his device...............

Ok, so i installed the cyanogen 7.0.3 update to the gtablet and it worked fine. I then went into settings and tried to erase the sd card, thinking it would format the 16 gigs of internal memory cause i had so many programs and files on it that i wanted to clean up. After i erased the sd, i hooked it up to the computer to browse the files and noticed that nothing was erased. I was like whatever and just tried to restart it just for the hell of it. Once i restarted it would get stuck in a recurring cyanogenmod logo boot loop. Nothing i did would fix it i tried a wipe of the data, the cache, a reset, and finally after none of this worked. I did the nv flash and pushed the original o.s. to the device. However, i still get stuck in a boot loop, this time with the gtab logo as it is what comes up under the original o.s.... Is there anything i can do? Do any of you have an idea as to how to proceed, or did i seriously brick this somehow? I'm at a total loss....any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
i also tried to get into some recovery the way you would under clowkwork but all it does is show an exclamation point with a triangle logo around it then shuts off to reboot.
I asume that you nvflash to a 1.1 bootloader.
so now nvflash clockworkmod. 08 mount usb and put a update file to restore(cm or stock) (next time you want clear sd you may use your pc to do it, be aware of not delete directory starting with a dot and you can afect some apps.) , after clean dalvik, user data & cache if boot loop ocurs.
Hey! yesterday I found a new rom for my phone, Alcatel One Touch 991 so I went downloading it, after flashing it. Everything worked just fine, but the after i restarted the phone, it didn't boot, it was stuck at the boot logo. So, I formatted my whole phone and then reinstalled the preloader, dsp_bl and that stuff. The only problem is that when I got into recovery to install android, i tried to wipe data/factory reset, but the screen just got black, then it gone back to the CWM's start screen. When I try to format /data it does the same thing, and when i try to mount /data it says "Error mounting /data". Installing a ROM won't help anyway, it would get stuck at the logo.
Can anyone help me? This phone does not use ODIN, because everything i found was for Samsung phones.
Thanks.
Anyone? :crying:
Hello, I am new to this forum. I purchased a new tablet Datawind Ubislate 9ci. It is a 9 inch no-bluetooth tablet.
Details:
*.Android 4.1.1
*.Rock chip RK2928
*.KERNEL linux version 3.0.36 i was trying to install CWM through mobile odin and ROM manager but my tablet was not supported so i downloaded build.prop editor from google play and changed it to some other cwm recognizable model viz. Samsung, nexus etc. When i was doing the above mentioned procedure, suddenly my tablet is coming up to bootloading and hanging there only and not opening
i went to recovery and tried to do wipe data factory reset but failed to get opened after boot android system recovery(3e) has the following options
1)reboot system now
2)apply update from ADB
3)apply update from external storage
4)update rkimage from external storage
6)wipe data factory reset
7)wipe cache partition
8)recovery system from back up
i tried to do wipe data factory reset 2-3 times but still hanging at boot
i had not made any back up before this bootloop and also tried hard reset by pressing needle at the back please somebody help me to get rid of this problem and also tell me how to unlock bootloader thank you
I have a a Lenovo Yoga 8 B6000. Im running 4.4.2 and after some fiddling, used Vroot to root, and subsequently went through some arduous steps to finally remove the Vroot and replace with SuperSu. Life was good. Then I got a little careless when removing some of the bloatware and ended up with a constant boot-loop problem. And of course, no backup. (whoops!)
I have been researching this the past 2 days for a workable solution and am reaching out for some more refined assistance.
Here is what I have done thus far:
When pressing Power + VOL+/- I get to the initial recovery menu which gave me: Recovery, Fastboot, and Normal. After selecting the "Recovery" mode, I get the "No Command", after which I pressed the power button one more time and got into the English recovery menu. I show
Android System Recovery <3e>
B6000_A442_001_026_141117_WW_WIFI
Reboot System Now
Apply Update from ADB
Apply Update from SDCard
Apply update from Cache
Wipe data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
I attempted to wipe the cache, followed by Wipe data/Factory reset. Following this procedure, I remained in the boot loop.
I installed ADB Flashtool drivers for WIN7 and attempted to use flash tool which was also suggested on this site. I got a 4.2.2 ROM "B6000_A422_000_059_131219_WW_WIFI" from a russian lenovo forum site to use with the flash tool and because the tablet continues in boot loop when starting, there was no loading of the ROM from that method.
I put the rom on an SD card and went into recovery mode. The ROM was not visible by the recovery menu (By that I guess the Apply Update from SDCard is looking for a specific file extension, which is not present).
I may have tried a few other things which are not popping into my head at the moment.
Im kind of at a loss and looking for any ideas from the gurus out there on how I might be able to get any kind of ROM to flash onto my B6000 and getting it up and running again.
Thanks
I was able to successfully fix the Yoga 8 tablet by using the instructions here:
//aluk4rd.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/an-easy-guide-for-restoring-your-stock-4-2-2-firmware-on-your-lenovo-yoga-tablets-8-and-10-b6000-and-b8000/
The trickiest part was getting the Mediatek driver installed. I use a dual booting MAC with WIN7 and sometimes there are some kwirks when operating in WIN7. However, the results of the instructions brought my tablet back to life, as well as downgrading to 4.2.2
Hi engineer2loggie,
How did you get that firmware? Can you tell where can I download it?
Thanks.
has anybody found a solution to this? im stuck with the same problem atm
Hi, all!
I tried an app which says it will increase internal storage on LG E455! I followed the instructions then clicked reboot recovery!
Since then, my phone doesn't boot, sdcard not booting, unable to restore my phone...I'l literally stuck :crying:
PLzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help! I've been trying to unbrick my phone for hours without success....:crying:
I figured it out!
