So I bought a nexus 6 the other day that was locked to AT&T, my carrier I use is T-Mobile. I went through cellunlocker to get a code but its been 8 business days and still haven't got a code. Is it possible that they might not get one and if so is there any other methods or sides that are reliable to get a code?

I've been searching and seen that AT&T didn't provide unlock codes for new phones, but must give them after 10 month from launch. Since it's about the time frame for the Aria, I was wondering if anyone tried to get the code from AT&T.
Do you have to be an AT&T customer? if I'm buying a used phone can I ask for the code also?
thx
Here are the official "rules" for unlock codes: http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=55002&cv=820#fbid=0yQi8JC0xlj
Even if they won't give you the unlock code, you can get them relatively cheaply online so you've always got options.
thanks that I was looking for.
Still don't get from this if they will give the code to a non-customer, but I guess I'll just to call and ask them.
Hi everyone,
I'm a UK user and will be flying to Dubai in a few days. Is there a ROM I can download that will unlock the ATRIX for me? I want to be able to use it in Dubai using a local network/sim.
Would I have to get a specific unlock code or could I just root the phone instead which would unlock it?
Orange customer. I need it unlocked asap.

No ROM/program. Rooting/bootloader unlocking are unrelated to sim unlocking.
You can try purchasing a sim unlock code from places online. I believe celluunlock or something is popular. But I remember seeing posts or threads that it doesn't always work or there long delays in getting the codes.
Other option is to call your carrier (guessing Orange), tell them your situation and ask if they can provide you an unlock code.

My SIM unlock took about 15 minutes and cost $20.00. The Atrix has been out for a while now. I suspect that SIM unlocks are pretty routine these days. If your carrier won't do it, or is too expensive, ask the unlocking people how long it will take.
hi guys, does anybody knows how to unlock nokia lumia 800 (uk) to all networks??my is on orange uk and i want to use o2 on it but i have no idea how to do it!thanks
If you have the Qualcomm bootloader you can use NSS 0.50 to unlock it (the post in a few posts down in this forum). If you don't have the Qualcomm then currently the only way to unlock it is to get Orange to do it but you need to have had the phone registered to them for at least 3 months before they will do it (costs £20 or so)

Was the phone you bought new or used? If it was used, how long had it been active on the network? I also bought an 800 off ebay and Orange refuse to unlock it until it's been on the network for 3 months. Yes, I have an Orange PAYG sim, I also got my dad to send me his PAYG sim (which is old) and as long as their computer shows the phone has been registered on the network less than 3 months they will not unlock it.
lumia unlock
the orange lumia was less then a month old, all i done was got a pay and go sim wacked £25 on it then phoned their customer services, told them i wanted a unlock code, they took my imei number and i waited 2 weeks, at no point was i asked about 3 months or anything they did what i requested with no issues at all.
i would recommend giving them another ring if they ask if the phone is use for 3 months say yeah it has been just say somthing like you been living over seas or somthin and if you dont get the result, phone again just tell them what they want to hear thats what i would do

You must have got the lucky CS member that other people get. When you phone up they look on the computer and it tells them when the phone was first used on the network (when the IMEI number was first used on the network that is) so they know when the phone was first used. I've phoned several times and talked to several different people, always the same response "not for 3 months".
lumia unlock
you could try using a t-mobile sim and phone them for a unlock i have read on here that other users have had success with that

It is true that the new network (everything everywhere I believe it's called) is locked to both T-Mobile and Orange so either should be able to unlock it. I only have until the end of August before Orange will allow me the pleasure of using my phone on my chosen network though but I'm hopeful that the DLOAD gets cracked before that so I can unlock it for free.
Orange though recommend getting a 3rd party to unlock the phone when they won't! It's like "we won't unlock it for business purposes, but you can get someone else to unlock it and we'll not get the money for unlocking it, great business plan we have don't ya think?!"
So thinking about buying AT&T GoPhone - Motorola Moto E with 8GB Memory No-Contract Cell Phone from best buy. I believe it's easy to unlock ATT device by using their website. Once I get it unlocked, can this be used with any GSM network worldwide? I am especially interested in using it in India. Also can I test this unlock code with my other post paid SIM from ATT?
Thanks
Yes, it can be used with other carriers that use GSM...But I don't know if India has the same 3G/LTE bands. It took a few days for me to get a code for my Lumia from ATT.
Usually the phone is locked to At&t for 6 months. You can request an unlock code only after 6 months.

I was told if you bought the GoPhone version that it's yours it's not subsidized and AT&T will issue you an unlock code for it.
Is there anyway to unlock this phone without having an unlock code? I went thru direct unlock and its been about two weeks now. I remember the days where we could unlock out phones
Yes there is. I've unlocked note 8 and s8 thru software. S9+ requires modem file to be flashed and then use software.

Carrier/Network Unlocking this phone does not use a code (we use an UICC unlock) so it's a bit different. If your getting an unlock code prompt it most likely is a different kind of lock that is on the phone.
For UICC (Carrier/network) unlock there are 3rd party companies that do work, I used one without issue and my phone is carrier unlocked. I also would advise against these extremely cheap unlock places (usually it ends up costing more), if they claim they give you a code to unlock the phone, or require you to install an app and enter a code.. I would avoid those places.
The one I used I paid over 180 dollars for it, but it's a lot cheaper now (a hair under 40 USD now). They had to connect to the phone, obtain some information from it and reconnect to it a few days later to send some information to it. After that it worked perfectly on GSM networks.
The only catch was once unlocked it doesn't seem to work with CDMA anymore (guess the site I had used updated the description of the service to confirm this to be the case).
