Hi guys. I know there are a few sound mods for our Z2, but those mods don't affect the quality, just increasing the volume and making notifications sound stereo. So there's my question: is there someone who can make or port us a mod that actually improves sound quality? There were a few projects (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...d-amazing-sound-mod-z2-make-z2-sound-t2887796 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...diomod-siriuxstudio-mod-exclusive-to-t2890784), but they're dead, like, for a year. I though someone could port this mod (with OP's permission ofc.) http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/audiomod-dreamonmusic-g-plux-v11z-t2900697 because I think it's the best for every Z at the moment. What do you think about it?

Hi guys, there is a important problem in the PureXperia Z2 for me (and others probably...), the sound is very poor, mainly bass, it...missing and bad (saturation, distorsion for example if i use viper4android and not present at all without..). So i try the sound patch for Q800, result : it's better, not perfect BUT listenable except that the sound in speaker is lost.
The first question is -> what is the audio lib used for the speaker and only it
the second -> cmahendra and co' are beautiful devs but also deaf... and they do not want help me because for them, the sound is perfect :|
Can you help me to fix this issue ? it's a important feature for me and in this rom it's not good like other xperia roms :/
And i previously try to replace libs from jellyxperia and the sound remains poor, maybe a problem in framework ?

May be they changed sound libs for louder sound. But bass also seems low. Other features are good.

I tried without effect o_o
Jellyxperia = perfect
Jellyxperia's libs on PX Z2 = poor
How did u changedJellyxperia's sound libs on PXZ2? I tried changing all sound libs from PXZ2 to MIUI. But no change in sound was noticable. MIUI's speaker volume is very low and PXZ2 's speaker volume is most loud of all roms. Only bass is low in earphones.
They are not only low on PXZ2, but missing and with jellyxperia's lib, it's very low and poor in headset. So the problem is probably the rom. The patch for Xolo 800 is a good fix (with viper4android off course..) but without sound in speaker :[
I made a patch from Q800 with the sound in speaker for our device.
I added some jellyxperia's libs in original patch for Xolo Q800 and the sound is good with speaker working so.
Sony Xperia Z3 sound engine.
Backup is needed. Set on a clean system (without sound mods). System sound engine for expensive headphones. Install : flash via custom recovery stage and reboot .

With the Viper, with the same settings much detalizirovannoi and better sound became,the need for pulse has completely disappeared, more stably produces different styles of music for those who do not like to Tinker with settings.

Depending on the file name, that could be a ripoff of the other Beats Audio settings. Besides, Beats Audio sounds crap, so no, I wouldn't install that.
Strange logic without trying not listening to judge the quality of the sound in absentia.
No, it is just that I know Beats Audio, and the only equalizer I am using in my speaker setup is the one that flattens out the bass and straightens the mids a little (not pulls it up the bass and highs like Beats Audio). I don't need to listen to that since I already know what Beats Audio does and I do not like it.
beats audio mod for "EXPENSIVE HEADPHONES" ??? DDDDDDDDDDDD whatta fu^k!? Why would anyone buy a decent pair of headphones just to artificially emphasize the bass!? Those kind of mods are for toys, not for real headphones.
Lollipop High Volume Sound MOD
From much people, i have heared, that the sound of the Z Ultra, is not very loud, but i have fixed that for Lollipop ROMS
That are only modified mixer_paths.xml and audio_policy.conf (only V2) files
That are only for LiquidSmooth (based on SlimLP, works on CM12 too) and for CM12.1
You find 3 Categories: Loud, Louder and Loudest
Loud: is louder than normal but not too high
Louder: is very loud, only use at your risk
Loudest: is very very loud, only use at your risk

I was wondering, can you create soundmod for zu from another model like the htc....mix their features to ours xperia have...just wanna know if its possible...

Is possible, for Example you can Port Dolby DAP Effects for ZU and it works very well, I can create a Soundmod which add the features from other devices to ZU

I very much like that...and maybe all that appreciate good sound from our zu...we have many mod that features loud volume and clarity, but few on great sound effect....im not an expert on sound mod but im very keen on great sound...expecially on headphone...

Use Viper then, superior to all other audio mods, if you have a moderate to high-end pair of headphones (personally using AKG K520) it can do miracles to the sound, even with the bundled headset MH750 the difference is easily hearable. Of course, it doesn't equal to cd player + amp configuration, but ZU and Viper aren't that far from them

The problem is, V4A runs not stable every time, it can be closed by Low Memory Manager from Kernel, maybe it force closes, and have big battery drain
Weird, stable for me. As for the closing when low ram, move the app to system partition. Also I haven't noticed the battery drainage.

I've used v4a all my life and just what something new for a change...back in the days, ive used zeroinfinity sound mod and it was fantastic...i just want mod like that come back...

now after rooting C5 ultra for both locked and unlocked bootloaders , we need stereo mod for the device
audio files in etc named as :
- audio device
- audio effect
- audio policy
as i understood we may need to change in (audio device XML ) , i made some changes but it didn't work with me, any ideas.
Yes, we definitely need stereo mode and LOUDER sound!
My wife has the Xperia Z5 & sound is far louder and is stereo...
Viper4 android works well of course. you have to use the selinux mod changer To get it working. And it sounds awesome. With my monster headphones

im also waitin for the stereo mod not that the sound quality is bad,but it would be cool tho
