[MOD] Battery Light Disabler (CM12.1) - downtime, screen on - Xposed Framework Modules

With this module, battery light will not shine when in downtime (Interruptions) or when the screen is on.
There's an option to disable notifications light during downtime but there's no such option for battery light.
The battery light also stays on when display is on even that's unnecessary as you usually see the battery icon in status bar (at least Samsung/TW devices turn off the led once you power on the display).
I will try eventually create proper patch for CM...
This module has been merged into new module http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xposed-tweaks-cm-t3279109. Please check that module for any future updates.

Hello. First of all, thank you for this.
Can you implement it for notifications light too?
Let me explain.
On android 5.0, when we set "priority" or "none" mode, the notification LED did not flash. Google changed that on android 5.1. Now, even on these modes, the LED flashes. . This is very bad to use at night, when sleeping. The led disturbs. Can you please add an option to disable notification LED when on priority mode???
Thanks man.
By the way, I know CM has this. But AOSP and Samsung TW 5.1 don't have it...

Wooooooaw... Battery Light Saber FTW !

this is exactly what i ever wanted but its not working on aosp 5.1.1 please help

@moneytoo
Please can you re-upload as both ways of downloading (from Xposed Repository through browser or through Xposed app) result in a file that is either reported as not a valid apk or gives a parse error when trying to install.
Thanks

It for CM12.1. It's not compatible with Android 4.x or lower.

(fixed) KingKang Rom Unofficial Source Build - Clock wrong and no notification LED

Hello guys,
two (I hope) little problems. I installed "KingKang Rom Unofficial Source Build" yesterday.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007132
At the moment everything works fine beside two problems:
- The clock on the top right is one hour off
Yeah, the clock is one hour behind the real time. But only in this clock. The clock widget, the clock on lockscreen and the clock in the clock settings are working fine. Any chance to (manually) change this? Probably it thinks it's in summer time?!
- The notification LED is off
No light for notifications or charging. Could be the Kernel (Buttered Toast with captive backlight off), but I thought it only desables the light of the buttons. Haven't seen an option in the settings yet.
Probably someone knows how to fix it. Anyhow I will change the kernel with backlight on and probably flash the ROM over a second time, when I get home.
Any help appreciated
cya,
MChief
Hello, I see your having some issues with Kingkang rom. The clock is off by an hour? OK have you set the correct time zone in date/ time settings? That happens to me sometimes when I flash Mazda's aokp jb ROMs. As for notification light, have you tried enabling in led under rom control? The capavative lights have nothing to do with led lights. Buttered toast kernel works fine for me. FYI I know your new here, and you aren't able to post in development yet( perspectively in kingkang thread) you need at least ten posts to post there. My suggestion is to go in general section and get in a couple discussions about something to build your count up so you can post in development.

Like you can see on my "join date" I'm not really new, but it's hard for me to write on other topics
Like I said, the other clocks are working perfect with correct time/zone etc. like it is chosen in settings. Only then "main" clock doesn't want to...
There is a LED Control option in the settings, but when the light in the app picture goes on, the LED of my phone doesn't. I also changed the setting there to see if it will overwright something.
Yes, maybe I should join a few conversations to ask the devs directly. THX for the answer
I use light flow lite from the play store to control my led lights notifications, you may also have an issue with no control over screen brightness, use rootdim
(Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )
Ok, so after a reboot (sadly one i didn't want to do...) the clock is working as it should.
BUT yesterday I installed light flow, but didn't get the LED to work. This morning I THINK I got it working by enabling "icd backlight LED".
State at the moment: When I want to unlock the screen it goes on for a second and then goes totally black like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20012996
Don't know where "s6e8aa0 control" is...
And the capavative lights like to go on and never go off. Only a reboot helps here. Also produced by light flow.
Now I deinstalled light flow
So after installing the full version of light flow and playing with the sttings I got it to work at the first try.
It's now with HTC compability mode and without the "icd backlight LED".
Probably also the update to the newest buttered toast kernel and setting the min. Mhz from 1** to 3**. I will test that.
Well I'm glad you got it to work
Ok, it's also working with 1** Mhz. So it was the "icd backlight LED".
Light Flow isn't working how i would like it. I only want the normal notifications...

[Q] How to turn off the LED bar of the Xperia U ST25i

Hello,
I've searched for a solution to turn off the LED bar for quite some time, but all the solutions via apps like LEDs-U-CTRL or uninstalling the sony.illumination.service package or removing the /system/apps/SemcIllumination.apk or the terminal commands from this thread don't work for me. Maybe because I've flashed the FXP152... The two packages don't exist.
Is there any other way to disable the LEDs? What versions of FXP support disabling the LEDs?
Thanks in advance!
yes u can disable ..

use SCREEN FILTER https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor&hl=en app from google pay store and install it thn run it .then uncheck enable soft key backlight then click enable screen filter ..you can adjust your bightness to too low as u want..
reply me if it doesnt work..
I can't believe it! It really works!
Thanks!
In FXP 210a the LED bar is finally completely off. Thanks to that my phone used only 2% of battery in the last 11 hours. Well... without using the phone much (sleeping for about 7 hours) and Wifi off. The Governor at "on demand" set to 200-400 MHz. :cyclops:
(of cause the LED bar will still blink at a custom frequency with a custom color when I get a message.)
btw: When the LED was always on the percentage went down every few minutes... It almost halves the duration of the battery when using the phone all day.
*Don't mind me reporting how things were progressing*

bro you know how turn off illumination bar of xperia u permanent, without apps? please tell me
Use illumination bar notification app (search urself) and on choosing the color of the theme of that app, don't slide non of the red, green and blue and then, save it. That's how.
P.S: That app didn't even use root access so you better give it a try

I don't know... I have something in mind, but it also could cause, that no led works at all or even that the phone won't boot anymore... So I don't even want to try it. (deleting the file /system/lib/hw/lights.montblanc.so)
As Little Zed said, you should try it with an app like screenfilter or the illumination bar notification app.
If you try out newer Roms like KitKat, then you also have an option to disable the LED but, I don't know if it will both disable the small LED on the top right and the LED bar... But this is something you might want to test.
ps: in the current KitKat Rom the LED bar won't work, you'd have to replace the above mentioned file with the one from CM10.1.

[Q] led bar doesnt work properly on AOKP custom rom

hey guys,
i have this sorta weird issue where my phones light bar is not working properly. i looked all over the thread but couldnt find anyone with this same issue.
i flashed a AOKP custom rom recently, im loving the speed, everythings awesome, but the led bars dont work. the normal theme colour thingie is off, which is understandable, but the illumination bar notification app also doesnt work, and the light bars dont work when i use the walkman that i installed later. but weirdly, u-disco can control the lights, and they also light up along with the notification led for phone notifications like low battery, or battery charging.
i was wondering if anycould suggest a way to get at least some of the functionality back.?
im sure that 3rd party apps can control the light bar cuz u disco pulled it off.
any help would be greatly appreciated

What's your phone? If your phone is Xperia U, search for Xperia U illumination files and download and get ADB server because the RunMe.bat should only be work with ADB and place all files in ADB folder. Then run the RunMe.bat twice in order to be sure. If it's done, now you can get illumination with illumination bar notification app.
That's all? No! You would like to set theme in illumination bar notification but it always turning off.
Now you change your display settings. Follow this fix which is not mine.
ILUMINATION BAR FIX FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLADER
i've solved the brightness bug!!!

- click "save & apply"
- settings --> display --> automatic backlight --> light levels
- check "use custom" box
- settings --> display --> brightness
- set brightness to max level
- check "automatic brightness" box

(to re-activate automatic backlight, simply uncheck "Use custom" in "Automatic backlight" menu)

[APP]AMOLED Notification Light "NotifyBuddy"

Original Thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/themes/app-amoled-notification-light-t3943715
So I was annoyed not having an LED notification light on oneplus 6t so I tried to make one of my own.
As OP6T has amoled display whenever a desired notification comes the app brings in a black screen with notification LED looking animation.
Though this is tested on OP6T, it should be working for most Android Oreo and later phones.
To use it:
Install App.
Disable Ambient Display and any battery optimisation for the app.
Give notification access permission.
Select apps you want notifications for, by choosing a color (Only apps you set a color to enables LEDs).
Note: 1. On successfully selecting a color for an app the text in which the App name is written should change to that color
2. Don't enable the LED for the "Phone App" as it will interfere when an incoming call is coming! Will fix this in next build
Thats it.
Note: To turn off the LED and to unlock phone double tap anywhere on the screen.
Also on pressing power button once the LED stops and on pressing it again it will bring you to lock screen.
App now available on Play Store, please rate and share if you liked the app.
Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xander.android.notifybuddy
Working Video: https://youtu.be/vFKiHS_ZD-k
If the app is not working check whether the Notification Service is running under Developer Option > Running Services, this service is required for the app to work as intended.
If it is not running after various troubleshoot measures, maybe send the logs.
Changelog:
Implemented burn in protection
Fixed proximity sensor bug
Switch enables LED with default color
Added search functionality
Now App list is sorted in alphabetical order
Fixed power button
Added settings for changing time interval and stop timer
Major bug fixes
Added System Apps
Added a switch to turn on/off notification LED
Give your feedback!!
Hi. I'm going to try it my question is if this would not burn the screen?
Can you explain how the stop timer works?

Nope it won't burn the screen as LED is shifting towards right every time.
Stop timer is the time after which the "LED" will stop after receiving notification.
please mention digits(seconds/minutes) in slider of led time interval & stop timer. working fine with S10.thanks
I couldn't make it work...
Great !!
Very simple & the first one that perfectly works with the screen off.
Next step a circle around the camera ?
Thanks for the work
It does use a bit of battery....
Great app. But the approximately Sensor doesn't responding. Does anybody confirm this?
If „don’t disturb“ is enable no notification light appears.
Is there any way of getting premium features without play services? I would love to use the unlock with fingerprint option

The Ultimate Guide to Notification Light on S10 series.

I have tested almost all the notification light solution for my beloved S10+. Starting from Samsung's Edge Lighting Solutions to AOD Notify and everything that comes between. Paid for apps that I don't know will fulfill my requirements of Performance, Stability and Battery Life. And I came to a conclusion.
Device: Factory unlocked S10+ Exynos (SM-G975F)
Firmware: Latest BSKO build as of December 2019
Software Required: Holey Light by Chainfire & Always on Edge (AOE), both playstore latest version.
Why two apps? Holey Light drains battery and Always on Edge flickers the clock/fingerprint area everytime it blinks.
The order is important.
1. Install Holey Light
2. Configure Holey Light with necessary permissions and settings (On android 10, you must have WIFI, Bluetooth and NFC enabled to configure Holey Light)
3. First, configure holey light with all the notification settings enabled with Hide AOD set as Full
4. Now, disable all When and How to Display settings and DO NOT DISABLE holey light completely.
5. Now install and configure AOE. Prefer the stable light as it does not drain battery.
What you get?
1. Notification light around the notch with appropriate setup. Notification Light works for all apps, including the apps in work profile.
2. Stable
3. Holey Light animation tends to drain battery but the AOE stable light does not drain that much.
4. No charging Status when phone is charging (Otherwise I believe it will burn-in in the area where charging status is shown as it does not move around to avoid burn-in. And I charge it whenever I get chance to.)
