Thanks... I also installed this. I had a lot of trouble trying to download the file and had to search all over the place for a less hassle-free download process.
Btw what applications manager do you use? I notice that App Master crashes sometimes on the rom. But then again, App Master crashes sometimes in the stock rom too.

I recommend freezing google play services to better performance of this device and do not install too many applications only the essential sorry my English is bad

1: Use custom kernels only if you need them.
2: I have not noticed any
3: Same as #1, only if you feel comfortable with modifying your phone, google "root galaxy s3"
4: I think S3 sound quality is very good without any mods
5: Look at Settings -> Data usage, there you can set limits
6: Dont know about this, but if you have a cheap (slow) sdcard, the loading times may get worse.
Btw, make full backup of stock rom if you decide to go custom

I've been told to stay on stock ROM as it's stable and some custom ROM have bugs
Custom kernels include all kinds of tweaks, i.e. overclocking that will increase performance at cost of battery life. Siyah kernel is a good example.
Yes, with root you are able to use AdFree and many more handy tools to customize your phone i.e. fonts and such.
Hmm, im sure that searching the forum for App2sd or something similar would give an answer as I have no experience of moving apps on S3. Never really needed myself.
Yeah, stock roms have better camera and in most cases are more stable than custom roms.

I like and use Siyah, mainly for its flexibility, and its audio enhancements (Siyah kernel enhancements are all maintainable thru "STweaks" app which will be installed by default when you install the kernel).
I've not played with over/under-clocking as I don't feel the need with such a beast of a phone, but the options are all there.

My main reasons for using custom ROMS are:
1) the ability to use later versions of the OS before Samsung push it to the stock phones. I'm on 4.1.2 now, and have "multi-window" mode from the Galaxy note 2
2) The ability to tweak the appearance of the phone thru themes, other window managers (I use Apex mainly, but Nova is pretty too) etc.
3) the ability to strip bloatware from the phone.
As to bugs etc- I've not noticed any more bugs in the SGS3 roms than in any other custom roms, in fact I think the aftermarket Custom Rom chefs these days are producing massively mature product. Haven't flashed anything I'd consider "bleeding edge' in a long time. Last time I had a force close was in the Facebook app, and that's Zuckerberg's fault, not Android's
The App in question has since been updated and runs smooth now.

Just follow instruction carefully.

It isn't always that easy. What are you on now? Stock Gingerbread or Jelly Bean?
Sometimes simply changing the kernel can speed up the device, but if you're still on the stock kernel you're limited in the tweak options available to you.
Also, we have no way of knowing what apps you have in the first place, so, again, more information please.

That's the stock kernel you're on, so unless you switch to AJK 4.9 NoSwap you're going to be greatly limited in what you can do to "speed" up your device.
One of the most basic things to do is to turn off sync, and control that process manually. This will not only save you battery it'll also give you the ability to control this process from running in the background. Facebook and Skype are massive resource hogs, Facebook being the biggest offender. You need to delete that one immediately and use either the browser version or this modded apk developed by @elesbb that does a great job of silencing certain permissions.
But the best thing you can do is read read read; there are hundreds of guides around XDA that are filled with wonderful things!
Another thing that might help right off the bat is to install Greenify. Then set it to put apps that you use into hibernation when not in use. You can download it free from the play store.

FLYME 4 for LG G2 [D802 only] OFFICIAL BY MEIZU {BETA}

Hi guys,
I have not developed this rom. I am just sharing the link as this is the best rom i've ever used. It has been offically created by Meizu developers for LG G2 (D802 Only)
I am not responsible if you cause any damage to your phone.
I've have been using this for about a month now and its works just Great.
Some issues I found are with Contact Sync. If you click on sync and open contact and wait for it to get completely synced, it works fine.
The stock camera App is Great still if you want effects You can use Nubia Camera. It has tons of effects. http://www.coolapk.com/apk/cn.nubia.camera
Link to the forum :http://bbs.flyme.cn/thread-162530-1-1.html
The site is in Chinese so Open it in Google Chrome and the application will translate it.
Just in case you if you are unable to do it, i have attached a mirror below. Download it extract it in your phone and flash one by one.
If you still have problems then let me know, i'll create a mirror for you.
Gapps is not in Included.
To install them go to the default app store.
Type in "Google" and install Google Installer application (28.6Mb) and you'll get playstore. Install others as needed via the playStore.
My advice is to install all google application via the default app store that comes with flyme as the updates between playstore and the default app store mismatches and this will always result in failed update and will always be shown in the notification bar
To Fix GPS :
Install instructions:
Wipe data and cache
Flash the Fix GpS.zip despite what country you live choose. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/o7ucr3fho9qbb/gps
Reboot
Install AGPSUtility
2. Restart.
For QuickRemote Use QRemoteG2_v8_ws008.zip http://www.bdyunso.com/fileview-x55ara/
(If you cant find it msg me i'll upload it)

This has been officially developed by Meizu and they have not disclosed anything. I assume them to be really good. Plus I do not have the time to open it and check if it is a CM or stock based. I am really sorry about that. The Camera quality is really good not as good as the stock ( Of course nothing could be ) but its pretty nice. I've attached few of my images below. I am not a photographer to say but still check them out.

Its because need some framework codes that the OP didn't include... these apps need MM Os with a Custom Ported Rom from N7/S7, if you don't have these requisites, it won't full work in your device.

Any reason to root?

Without the availability or customs roms and kernels, are there any reasons to root a Galaxy Tab S3? Which bloatware have you uninstalled in your GTS3 after rooting?
I normally install custom roms and kernels for the improved battery life and overall performance improvement that many of these roms offer.

I agree, I went back to not rooted and pray for OTA updates, even it's naive
If i ever going to root, one of the main factor would be for GMD gestures. Couple of finger swipes to close apps, lock screen, switch apps adds tremendous amount of button freedom and control.
I'm going to rooting to get complete control of memory (internal and SD) and app authorizations...

Mattered a lot more to me when Android was a lot less mature. Nowadays, Marshmallow is pretty solid. Add in Macrodroid or Tasker and call it a day. And Nova supports gestures.

We can disable bloatware with ADB?
I use Netflix on this, so root isn't worth the trouble to get Netflix working.

Not with ADB. You'll need an app like titanium backup or adaway for ad blocking. But both need root. But you're correct, getting netflix to work is a little bit of a pita.

Another option: I'm using Disconnect Pro and it seems to work fine. It has to be sideloaded though.
I rooted my Tab S3 for 4 main reasons:
1. Adaway
2. Viper and Dolby Atmos and boost sound the way I like it (and its big imrovement)
3. OGyoutube
4. to backup and restore with TWRP and Titanium

Get a number from Google Voice. Then install Hangouts and Hangouts Dialer. Link Hangouts to your Google Voice number. You can text and make/receive calls with this combo. Working here for me.

Help me, Any link?
I want root for xda ads (at least)! The adds on main forum screens get so bad they'll block the screen from viewing the threads

Including the model# of your device is helpful to get proper direction.
If you have the SM-T820/825, this thread pertains to Root/Recovery (TWRP) for the devices I mentioned. If you have one of the devices, read the thread before asking questions:
