i recently bought a s6edge few days ago and it has android 5.0.2 I tried to update it to 5.1.1 OTA but it says that i have the latest software.. and then i used smart share but it don't show an update.what am i to do?

Hello fellas. Lost my old account.
I got here a Note 5 N920c. (Saudi Arabia) I cant download its latests firmware from SAMMobile. If anyone got a better mirror please provide. It has to be latest as i already flashed an older one and now im stuck on Error window saying i need to use Smart Switch recovery..which I tried..ky phone didnt showed up. Any help would be great.

There is none available to download at any place at this time other funkyhuawei.club has the updated firmware, or u can use hisuite and once it recognises your phone it will say download available and u can flash it and if you are not bl unlocked or rooted u can succesfully flash, i tried but it would not update as I am rooted.

What's your Cxxx will be rour region's phone.

I'm guessing you meant Bnd-l21c185b141 or Bnd-l21c185b144 ?
You could try one of this two methods:
1) try the 'Nougat Update to Oreo' part of this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/guide-honor-7x-flash-oreo-update-t3781649
with the BND-L21C185CUST185D1B330 available on FirmwareFinder.
or
2) Replace your nougat stock recovery with the 'BND-RECOVERY-NoCheck.img' from the previous link and then you can use FirmwareFinder's android apps to force update to BND-L21C185CUST185D1B330.
Both method will need you to have both bootloader and bootloader's FRP already unlocked.

In firmware finder there is an option to get it by In-App proxy.so can I update it by that way?????
Coz after seeing videos and videos I understood it.....

You're describing my second method.
It won't work without replacing stock recovery with 'BND-RECOVERY-NoCheck.img' because the firmware you'll like to install is not 'Approved'.
Sry for disturbing you again and again....what will happen if I install the firmware which is not approved coz I'm not able to understand how to do it...
nothing will happens, firmware will be erased from phone and you will get an 'install failed'

i did upgrade a middle east version of honor 7x to Orio and installation failed and it's brick. i just have access to fastboot. The phone not fully orio and not Noughat! no recovery works!
Better is to wait for the official update..

Apologies in advance, i'm a noob at all this but please read my post. I just need some help
Recently i've attempted to install a custom ROM on my Galaxy S8 ( SM-G950F ) and in the 1st attempt, managed to somehow get the phone into a boot loop. I went on to flash the original firmware via ODIN, which was successful and the phone was back to original, but now i have an issue when trying to use Google Pay, or Netflix. It keeps saying the phone has been modified and not allowing me. Is there a way around this at all? I don't understand why it's now not working since it's back to stock firmware. If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to provide some $$ if needed.

Hiya mate. It says official Samsung, but Google pay says the phone is rooted.

What do you mean 7 or 8 number from imei? The latest software is used mate that is correct.
7 and 8 number from imei is know as Country code , so look for Firmware for Country code you can also look for 4 file firmware for your device which you can search on the internet or try with DBT version is Germany but mostly German firmware can fix some issue . Good Luck

Over the course of one month I've tried everything you said two times each, I even contacted Huawei local costumer service and they replied and I quote: "Judging by your IMEI number it doesn't appear that you have a Huawei device at the first place, that is why you don't get updates", so yeah, the phone that I've purchased from an official vendor with a relatively higher price than the free market isn't even registered.
Note: yesterday I tried to download a FullOTA ANE-LX2 EMUI 9.0. update via Firmware Finder and the download unfortunately failed.

FF won't help you, you can try get bootloader unlock code for 4euros on hcu-client.com , then rebrand your phone to global version. Or, buy Service ROM on easy-firmware for 17euros and upgrade your phone to EMUI 9.1 using dload method (yes, crazy ). Sorry, I can't help you anymore
P.S.: try a google search to find the method "patched HiSuite" or "proxy HiSuite", it may help you. Good luck!
