I made a translucent .png file in Photoshop and set is as my Lockscreen Background
I set the Lockscreen to show what is behind it (app that was there when it locked)
It blurs what is on the screen so as not to show numbers and names that are there.

The Black Bar at the Bottom is just my NavBar because I disabled the nav keys
If anyone wants the .png file I used just post here and I will send it or upload it.

Which rom/device have you confirmed it working on?
Doesn't work on Nexus7 (2012) ROM:CM10.2.1
Edit: working now!!! But please add "navbar height in landscape" because on tablets navbar is still in stock dpi in landscape mode
Works on Omnirom 4.4.2 Huawei Ascend P6, atlough the statusbar size is a little buggy. Combined with App Settings it can be put into good use for resizing the statusbar.
Click "Apply" anything did not happen.
Excellent!!!
This might be of interest for at least a few.
This mod enables the navbar / softkeys on my Sprint Galaxy Note 2 running near stock TW rom (STS MK4). I have been searching for a mod that does this, as i've tried the manual editing of the CSC to disable the hw keys but never worked for me.
And I can shrink the navbar to 24 pts!

Not much success on my S4, either. The status bar never changed, and I got intermittent effects in some apps' title or action bar. Yes, I rebooted after each attempt. I'm looking forward to trying updated versions.
Things working/not working
Working: statusbar height, action bar height
Action bar title size is kinda working, it shows up when I open an app, but when it fully loads, text size is back to normal
Not working (and tested obviously): statusbar icon size (could it be an incompatibility with gravity box icons?), toast message distance from bottom
Also, loading previous settings causes fc, and ad cover the "Visit XDA thread" button.

Cannot you made possible to view changes just after a systemui reboot (like xuimod)?

This module replaces the values of dimens.xml inside framework-res.apk. It requires a reboot in order to reload these settings. I'll look into XuiMod and see how they're doing it, i suspect they have some sort of background service like GravityBox
Not working on LG G2 D802 , I tested notification bar height and volume bar position, pressing apply button dose nothing, kindly fix, thank you in advance.

Nope, already did, and didn't helped.
Maybe you are not aware, but G2 notification bar has big height comparing to other phones, so maybe it is already moded somehow especially that LG G2 heavily themed comparing to usual phones.
P.S
I'm using the stock ROM with 4.2.2 android.

This might be why, it works best on AOSP

Is there a way to change the size and position of the buttons in the nav bar individually? perhaps by editing a file?
i'm currently using an xposed module that has them scaled and sized evenly across the nav bar, but i want to change them manually to my liking.

To manually edit the navigation bar you need to modify the SystemUI.apk.
Another way is to install the Ultimate Dynamic Navbar app.

UDN has all the customizations i want, but i'm not a fan of the auto-hiding nav bar
I know I can control the icon's background color and transparency but is there a way to control the icon text in the same way? Many of the wallpapers that I like to use make the text hard to see and read. At times, a wallpaper will have a lighter color or colors at the bottom and darker colors at the top so changing the text color does not help. It would be great if the icon background was extended farther down to the text line. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hello. I have serious vision challenges and hope someone can help.
Is there a way to adjust the status bar font size on the Samsung S22 plus? The settings for font size and screen zoom do nothing to the status bar or toggles icons text. (I know of and use the magnification feature. However, I simply want to be able to glance at the phone vs. magnifying every time.)
I am ditching my Pixel 6 Pro due to it's awful antenna/modem = sh*t connectivity. The one good thing about the P6P (other than the camera) is that the display size adjustment also scales the font and icon size on the status bar.
Any guidance or suggestions are welcomed. Preferably without rooting the device, I hope status bar size adjustment is possible.
Q: Do fonts downloaded and applied from the Theme Store also change the status bar fonts? Maybe I could find a larger font to install and use it instead? (BTW, Themes store filtering and search are total crap so if you know of one point me to it).
Thank you in advance.
You could try to change the dpi setting, but this will change the size of all. Afterwards you might re-adjust font size and screen zoom like you already did for the rest of the screen.
Go to "Developer options" (if already activated) in "Settings". Search for "Smallest width" note down the dp value and change it to your needs. If you change it to a higher value (e.g. from 411 to 490), everything on the screen will get smaller.
Not sure if you've worked it out yet, if not hopefully this should work for you ..
In Developer Options scroll down to 'Simulate display with cutout' and choose waterfall cutout. Reboot and go back to Simulate display with cutout and choose default Good luck..!
I can confirm that under Android 12 the waterfall cutout/dpi trick just about doubled the font size on my S22.
Since the Android 13 update this week, that hardly makes any difference in the size of the status bar font.
The text and icons in the status bar are literally the most omnipresent information bits on the phone, and they are not resizable? That is a key failure in recognizing customer needs - particularly accessibility needs.
Indeed. After the Android 13 update, the status bar is tiny with no tricks to change its size. The waterfall cutout trick no longer works. There has GOT to be a way to actually make the icons and text in the status bar actually fill that area and not be microscopically small.

Having the waterfall cutout setting just made the screen really narrow for me after the update. There no longer seems to be any good way to increase the font size in the status bar. I have tried some third party applications like Super Status Bar which do increase the font size, but they have limitations such as you can't have a transparent background, and you can't hide the status bar from the always-on display.
Do all S22 phones have the samll font in the status bar?
There are lots of complaints about this all over the internet. Surely it would be a simple matter for Samsung to provide adjustment of the Status Bar font size utilizing a Goodlock module. I live in hope because although it's not a deal breaker for me the small size in annoying.
