Honor 7 back to stock after root - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my Honor 7 eu model (PLK-L01) which has program version B121 with guide found here in xda general. Does anyone know how to get back to stock after rooting? Somehow I need to unroot this device, change recovery from TWRP to stock and lock bootloader, but how does it happen in practice? Any help is appreciated. :cyclops:

I also would appreciate some infos.

Moto Z dual sim update, android 7 problems

Hello,
first i'm sorry for my bad english.
I have moto z dual sim, with android 6.0.1, unlocked bootloader and rooted. I have problems updating to Nougat.
Can you tell me please how to update, step by step. Do i have to lock my bootloader again? .
I have reflashed my phone without rooting it, but after downloading the update, i received again error and cant update
Please help me.
Are you using stock or custom recovery?
If it is stock recovery I got an update file that works but it is RETBR for the XT1650-03
I'm using stock :/
can you tell me how to lock my bootloader?
You can try to use the update file via recovery. Because you use a stock, you can use the official OTA file.

bootloader question

I gather that it is necessary to unlock the bootloader in order to root - is this possible to do on the Verizon version? If so, could someone point me towards a tutorial, as I have only found posts on rooting, not unlocking the bootloader.
To date, it's not.
Thanks.
So then it is not possible to root the Verizon version?
[ASK] bootloader version
hai guys, need info of moto z xt1650-03.
i've moto z 7.1.1 and BL 91.08.
i've already tried to reflash with version 6, but i've got the error for downgrade issue.
so i flash it back to its original.
so much work to do this, coz i've been very hard bricked for downgrading it.
the question is, is it possible to downgrade BL 91.08 to other version ?
i think that if i can downgrade it, it can flash the old version like MM or N 7.0
many thanks.

root and ota updates

Hi, I want to root my phone, I have a COL-L29 build 8.1.0.148, I found a guide to root:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-10/how-to/magisk-root-honor-10-t3785807
But I have some questions, I always had my phones with custom roms, if I root my honor 10, what happens to updates?
Can I update without risks? or I need to remove root and relock bootloader at every ota?
Thanks (and yes, I have bootloader unlock code)
You only need to flash back the (correct) stock ramdisk to remove Magisk. Then you can patch the OTA updates normally and afterwards re-root it again by flashing the (updated) ramdisk with Magisk again.
I am using twrp so I can't update ota but I can flash whole new update through Huawei firmware Finder

Downgrade Bootloader check fail

I have a S9+ G965F and I get the following error when trying to flash with Odin "sw rev check fail (bootloader) device: 9, binary: 2"
What is the problem? Would immensely appreciate help...
You are flashing binary 2 firmware on device which has binary 9.
You need to flash binary 9 firmware like G965FXXS9DTD7
Flash this Firmware
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261807131
Downgrade to android 8; not android 10
It sure worked, but... I am still on android 10... I was going to downgrade to android 8.
I got my firmware from SamMobile, but apparently it is binary 2? Where can I find the firmware for android 8? (Did not understand how to find android versions in androidfilehost)
Edit: I followed this tutorial on YouTube: "Downgrade Android 10 Roll Back To Android 9 On All Samsung Galaxy Phones S9+/S9/S10+/S10e/Note10" by Android Doctor
In order to find your bootloader version you need to look at the 5th digit from the right, in the baseband in software version and you can easily find your android versions on sammobile, when you do get the current firmware you can also see listed the older firmwares

I'm pretty sure Samsung prevents downgrading by blowing an e-fuse which prevents downgrading. I think they did this so that people cannot use special firmwares (without tripping knox) to remove FRP locks.

Has anyone figured out how to downgrade from 10 to 9 yet? I've tried a couple of tutorials, but they either not using and S10e but an older model WITHOUT Samsung bootloader locking, or they've been rooted - which I'd prefer to avoid.
I run into the error: "CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 7 BINARY: 3"
Then beneath this: "Pit_flash_binary - UNSUPPORTED VERSION".
Surely there MUST be a way to do this...?

That means you are trying to flash older binary into your phone which is already in newer binary (bootloader). Meaning that no, you can't flash older firmware into a newer one.

... Which means the e-fuse is something new since Android 8 or 9, as I've downgraded previously without this problem.
Would my only option now be to root, then or is there some way to downgrade the bootloader...?

I mean you can technically downgrade as long as the bootloader versions are the same.
Just as an example, if you are on Pie U3 bootloader, you can downgrade to Oreo U3 bootloader as well. You wouldn't be able to downgrade if you were already on Pie U4 bootloader and wanted to downgrande to Oreo U3 bootloader.

Well, it's the bootloader for this accursed Android 10, so I assume this will make downgrading impossible, dammit. ?
Ok. Next Q; can I assume the only way I can downgrade the bootloader is by rooting the phone...?
(It's just rebooted by the way. I don't *think* Knox has been tripped, as the version info is all there and nothing indicating otherwise.)

I'm not sure if there's a way to do it with or without root to be honest, I've never had the need to research anything regarding downgrading the bootloader. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Only just seen this reply, my friend.
I've decided I'm gonna try the Magisk root method created by @topjohnwu and see how this works out.
I've now switched to using a Huawei P30 Pro (New Edition) as my main phone, so I can afford to risk rooting the S10e and seeing if I can downgrade it like this, as it seems a fairly safe way to go for a Root Noob.
I dunno if rooting will let me downgrade the bootloader; I'm just assuming it will, as I'll have root level access to the device.
... And If it all goes south, then not too much'll be lost, I hope - plus I'll have learned something new, I suppose...

What happened when you flashed the Brazil firmware? I think flashing a different country firmware would be your best bet, because you really need an unlocked boot-loader to root a device. As far as I know there is no other way. Also, what's your model number?
Odin gave me a secure boot failure : pit
Is there a way to flash the same phone from another country but alter the firmware some how to where odin will think it's actually for my phone
My phone sm-a136u
What I attempted to flash
Sm-a136b
Do you know, how to do it like the old days and we manually decompile the bootloader and unlock it and recompile it way is that still possible with super r kitchen or apktool ?????
