A little disclaimer, we're not responsible if your device breaks.
HelloAndroid is a minimal custom ROM, based on AOSP 6.0, with a focus on fun. The goal is to create an enjoyable experience for, you - the flashaholic, and myself as a hobbiest.
I'm fueled by positive vibes and humble attitudes. So please don't bark demands and stuff like that, keep it fun for me. This is a learning experience with a long journey ahead.
This is an extremely early stage so there will be bugs and issues.
Current features:
custom navbar height
double tap navbar to sleep
volume rocker wake
volume rocker music controls
quicksettings quick pulldown
PA advanced reboot (enable in dev options)
with more on the way.
Downloads:
1. ROM hello_hammerhead-6.0-20151023
2. GApps - assuming those will be available pretty soon..?
3. Kernel of your choice (I use hellsCore)
4. SuperSU BETA-SuperSU v2.52
5. Latest radio and bootloader MRA58K_radio_bootloader
Instructions:
1. Flash latest bootloader zip
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash GApps
4. Flash Kernel
5. Flash SuperSU
6. Enjoy.
HelloAndroid github for those who want to keep on what's going on.
The kernel is an unmodified hammerhead AOSP kernel

Make sure you're on the latest radio and bootloader. There's a flashable zip floating around somewhere. I'll post a link when I get home
If possible , can you add a 4th nav bar button for "screen off" In your next build.
Is layers supported in this Rom? Thanks in advance

It's a possible maybe. I'm going to try and work out some issues and do more fine tuning before I add any more features.

It's Marshmallow, so they are supported from the outset.

What needs fixing? Layers work with Marshmallow as it is.
Still stuck on boot loop. I've flashed everything.
Lol yay another 6.0
2SHAYNEZ
having bootloop 10/12 build I'm on a latest bootloader and was running another 6.0 ROM successfully
Clean flashed, got stuck on bootloop ( with the classic generic "android" bootanimation), flashed one more time with ElementalX kernel and it boots with "Android Is Upgrading". Done Upgrading and then gapps and setup wizard won't stop crashing. I'm guessing the gapps haven't been optimised for Marshmallow yet as it looks like Slim pulled down all links to their test 6.0 gapps builds.

Layers only contains basic stuff for theming not advanced one. RRO from bitsyko is the most advanced one. Layers and RRO are different even though their purpose is similar

Looks like this is the first custom ROM for 6.0- congrats!
I have tested this ROM and i can confirm it boots if you install in below order:
1. Install this ROM
2. Install supersu
3. Install ElementalX 6
No gapps included at all. Some bugs below:
1. Notification panel doesn't open for me.
2. Home button didnt work for me.

This is actually very nicely done. I hope building will be more regular with updates on one off.
Only issues that I have is that power button won't bring the power menu, but reboot the phone.

Noob here too, I got it to work by rebooting immediately after flashing the ROM. After boot was complete, I turned it back off, booted back into recovery, flashed the Open Gapps, wiped Davlik/Cache, flashed SuperSU, wiped Davlik/Cache, and rebooted. I don't know if the intermittent wiping was necessary, but it didn't seem to hurt anything.

I just tried it (long press the home button) and a box pops up: "System UI has stopped" and gives me the choice to Close app or Send feedback. If I select Close app, it takes me back to my lock screen and when I unlock the screen, I'm returned to whatever I was last looking at. If I select Send feedback, it takes me back to my lock screen and when I unlock the screen, it gives me a send feedback page. I used Open Gapps nano 7.0 for ARM.

it's either you have another phone, or you think that Magisk works but it doesn't.
Magisk won't work with the i9100 because we have an outdated boot image.
please attach screenshots of Magisk manager app and a screenshot of the "about phone" section in settings.

Waiting because this rom was soo fast and smooth ?
Wow I don't have SIM card in my phone. So did not notice the IMEI problem
MigoMujahid said:
it's either you have another phone, or you think that Magisk works but it doesn't.
Magisk won't work with the i9100 because we have an outdated boot image.
please attach screenshots of Magisk manager app and a screenshot of the "about phone" section in settings.

Yes you are right. I think i got confused and assumed Magisk ran correctly on both of my devices i.e Samsung S2 and LG G3. The assumption was based on the behavior of two apps that wouldn't have run on rooted android devices (without Magisk).
So I apologize for my previous rant out there..
New build is up
- fixed IMEI not being recognized
- updated sources(BLN has been temporarily disabled, it will be back )
For now I'll leave the "testing" tag in the OP, tell me if you think it deserves "stable"
I hoped that is a Rom with dark theme, because Substratum doesn't work well on S2 and I want dark UI, but only the name and some wallpapers are dark...

I tried Substratum on more roms but is buggy here and there. It even caused bootloops for me. And it takes a year to apply a theme...

I used the latest from Google Play (seven hundred and ...don't know what) on RR and got bootloop. On AOKP it didn't change the bootanimation. I didn't try on other roms.

the volume buttons dont change the ring volume here, only changes the media volume
Gave this one a try. Just for general info - it comes with OPs' Destoyer kernel, it has a separate (still unlabeled) configuration section in settings but with only very few choices thus far, SELinux is set to permissive, it has FP gestures but no way in settings to turn off navbar (but editing build.prop works), and the default launcher is Launcher3. Also, there are no ringtones available or for notifications/alarm, and none of the system sounds were working (touch, screen locking, etc) despite being turned on in settings.
I don't use Google+ app so can't check that, and most other things I use set up normally, but what killed it for me is that V4A gives errors & can't install the driver, even though I set it up exactly the same way (Magisk module) as in Lineage 15/8.0 which works beautifully. Other than that it looks and performs very similar to our other 8.0 ROM Lineage, which I'm back on now.
I got viper4android working. I just installed magisk 14 and then flashed magnus opus with guitarhero build prop. Works great with play music. I confirm google+ will not install.

I mean I found this in the LOS 15 thread but havent tried this exactly yet....doesnt make 100% sense imo but gunna try it later :
" I use the Magisk module, so you need to be running Magisk (v14.0 currently):
- in Magisk/Download first choose to download (not install) the Viper4Android zip.
- in Magisk/Download next choose to install, when install finishes select Close (not Reboot).
- unzip the zip you downloaded and install only the main V4A apk (but not the io fix apk also in the zip).
- reboot, open the V4A icon, configure and it should work. "
Yeah, that's my usual method which worked well on Lineage 15 but not on AIM 8.0, but try it if you want. It seems redundant to flash the apk after the module, but otherwise you don't get the app icon, at least for me it's been necessary.
I found some info on Magnum Opus/etc but not sure which to download if that's indeed it:
