Friends, is it possible to downgrade from lollipop 5.1.1 to kitkat 4.4.4 on our note edge? I am using N915k and need root. It is very frustrating to be using my phone without root. I tried once and it gave errors. Any body has sucessfully downgrade to kk?

Thanks for the link. I've looked there first before asking as I didn't see the firmware for T-Mobile USA. The link you sent is "K" for the Korean model. Would you happen to know where I can find what I'm looking for? :good:

Here's my original question.
Keywords: KitKat, 4.4, Firmware, Note 4 Edge and T-mobile.
"Anyone have a link to the KitKat 4.4 firmware for the Note 4 Edge T-Mobile?"
I am asking because I don't want to wait forever on Samsung site or the slow file sharing sites like gator.
Lol I'm surprised you didn't see the keywords.

Wow... so almost 4 years later I revisit this thread...
I took out my preserved Note Edge (TM) still on KK 4.4 from the vault and wanted to flash a good ROM on it, but they are all on LP or MM base. I really didn't like LP at all ... JB was awesome, KK is great, LP a total bust, then MM turned out to be a polished version of KK ...
I"m wanting to stay and preserve KK 4.4, rather the U1 BL and not get stuck going past U1 ...
It looks like I can only roll up to BOG2 (5.0.1) to be able to roll back to KK (baseband and all) as going over BOG2 will get it stuck on U2 ...
See the firmwares here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note-edge/SM-N915T/TMB/
I'm a big fan of TEKHD ROM's and am glad to see that he has one built on the 5.0.1 base, which on BOD7 (U1) ... that looks like my only choice to stay within U1 eh?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...t/bod7-tekxodus-ne-urv1-5-16-edge-s6-t3109986
Anyone else out there still rocking their Note Edge? It's a classic for sure....
Hello. I have galaxy note edge n915f. I can't downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1. My firmware build number is MMB29M.N915FXXS1DRI2 and i don't know what to do. Please help me to downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1. Thanks.

What would happen if I try to downgrade with ODIN and it doesn't work? Would it brick or would nothing happen?
I downgraded from 5.0.2 using this firmware earlier today. It does definitely work. Too bad there's still not a root method and it looks like pitpin gave up on his.
Is it pre unlocked or do we have to get the phone unlocked again ? I am currently on unlocked lollipop.
Sim unlock has nothing to do with ROM files. The unlocked or locked status won't change.

Hi,
I've been searching around for downgrading my GS6E to 5.0.2, and all I could find is that it's not possible due to the new bootloader. But isn't it possible to flash the engineering bootloader and then flash the stock 5.0.2 firmware over it?
Regards
im also trying to undersand this, anyone with feedback? please.
Für die, die kein Englisch verstehen können,
nein,
es ist nicht möglich von 5.1.1 auf 5.0.2 herunter zu schrauben.

Pingpongroot only works on 5.0.2 and Unikernel is only compatible with the international variant, G925F. Therefore in your case there is currently no root every custom rom requires root so no luck with that either

So, I did this. Pretty impressed with the overall device feel now, SE9 is nice . No hang ups other thank it took a long friggin' time, also remember this will WIPE all the data, so make sure to do a backup prior to. The initial/first phone setup is very iPhone-ish, imo.

Be warned; this update is ONLY for SM-G930A firmware - it has a second-stage updater that blocks all other versions (including SM-G930T, which I myself tried). In other words, it is a carrier-specific update, folks.

If it weren't for this being a daily driver, I'd consider it. However, because it is, that's not an option. So I'll have to wait for either a neutral version or one that will work with the SM-G930T.
