Its strange. After 12hours of on time, awayfrom the charger, my tablet was at 39% battery. This morning I turn the screen on after four hours sleep and its now at 41%. Now, I have no issue with the idea of a self charging device, but I don't recall seeing it on the list of features. This has happened to me twice. Anyone else?

Environmental factors such as temperature affect the chemistry of the battery giving you more or less charge depending on whats happened. You may sometimes notice a torch for example dying then giving you another 5mins of light when you come back to it a few days later. All to do with the chemistry (I'm sure there's a more scientific explanation than mine). Also bear in mind the battery level is estimated by the voltage in the battery so is never 100% accurate.
Did your tablet come with a flux capacitor? If so, we're gonna see some serious sh!t.
Two questions:
1. what sort of battery discharge rate would indicate that my tab has a problem? i was reading using aldiko last night for about an hour, and the battery went from about 85% to 70%. it seems like this is higher than it should be for just passively reading an ebook. thoughts? does this battery burn rate seem legit? how do i know when i have a problem? is there a good way to test my battery in terms of whether or not i am getting teh batery life i should?
2. the battery stats in "settings" are not working properly. there is no breakdown of which components are using teh battery. there is nothing under teh graph at all. any one else have this issue? thoughts on how to fix?
Since Sunday my Aria has started heating up weirdly. When charging and while using, there is tremendous heating in the area right behind the optical touchpad.
Also the battery is not charging properly and discharging quickly.
I first thought it may be a battery problem, but wanted some genuine views regarding this.
Will changing my battery remove this issue? Has anyone faced anything similar?
There will always be heat around the touchpad whenever you are charging while using it. Happens to me all the time at least. Unless your battery exceeded 45 degrees Celsius, then that's abnormal.
You can track your battery stats for example, heat with apps in Market.
You said it discharges awfully quickly. Mind telling me, how long does it take for it to discharge from 100% to below 10%?
Really quickly.
For example, I charged the phone whole night from a wall charger, while switched off.
In the morning, I turn on the phone, it shows me 19% battery. I rebooted: 8%. Rebooted again: 2%. This all happened in about 5 minutes after taking the phone off the charger.
The phone used the 2% battery for about 15 minutes on standby, with no internet, before dying.
Now it does not even turn on. The battery is definitely gone, since it has bulged a bit. But I want to be sure before buying a new battery, if the new battery will face the same fate or not.
For now, I have given the phone to my brother who will test the battery in his phone. Let's see.
There's definitely a problem with the battery. It is advised you do not charge a faulty battery. It may damage your device or worse, explode depending on what the fault may be.

New battery should fix the problem. There's no reason to suspect that the phone is causing the problem.
Hi again
I know this is a well know issue but i wanted to ask something about the batteries and this problem. For some reason when i bought my Atrix it came with the bh5x, but i bought a bh6x after a few months. The problem is that when i started flashing roms the battery stopped charging to 100% with the bh6x, in some roms it charges to 93%, sometimes to 72%, etc; but my stock battery every time charges up to 100%. I know it may sound crazy, how can batteries affect this percentage since the charge it's the same, only the mAh.
The bh6x charges up to 100% (my phones says) when i charge it with the wall charger. I'm now using the bh6x in case of i ran out of battery with the bh5x because for some reason, using the bh6x while charged with the external charger, my camera stops working, it force closes. At the beginning i thought that this could be just coincidence, but i haven't had that problem since i put the bh5x as the primary one.
For me it doesn't make sense that the stock one charges full, and the bh6x(original) doesn't. I thought that there could be some file or configuration on the phone that i've not seen, i'm not a professional in this rom stuff, but i know at least the basics.
Has someone experienced something like this?

There is a fix for that. I can't remember who did it, or what it is called, but it is in the dev. section.

Yeah, i know that there is a fix for that, but that was not the question, otherwise i would just download it over again. The intrigue here was that it's akward that my stock battery( bh5x) charges always to 100% without problems, but my replacement battery(bh6x) doesn't and when i charge with the wall charger it seems to cause problems with the camera, i just wanted to see if someone had the same problem, or even just the one in the camera....
I believe everyone got their atrix with the bh6x, don't know why mine came with bh5x...
Well, I have bh6x.
The battery was always charging to 100%
Untill last Tuesday.
I am on epinter's JellyBean, I was getting up to 30hrs of battery life. On Tuesday I dropped my phone, not a big hit but enought to cause the battery fell off. It was at around 75% at the time. Once I put it back in it showed 1%. Wipe stats, rebooting, nothing changed. Now after a full night of charging the meter shows 30% max. The battery seems to be fully charged as the batt calibration shows 4200mAh and the battery still lasts a very long time it just reports the wrong percentage.
Anyone knows what could cause it and how to fix it?

Well, i think you are in the case that upndwn4par said. For that there is a post in the developer section that is called Atrix battery fix, something like that, you can search it.
There are some other methods in another post that consisted in charging and disconnect the battery from the phone and wait for the question mark to appear in the screen, then putting it back again and let it charge for a while, after that it will show you 100%, but for me it only worked for 1 time. I think the post is called something like " The ultimate battery guide" .... i can't remember exactly the title

This one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198333
I also have this problem
same, i have got 2 offical battery, and 2 china, and if i change the battery, even if they are fully charged, my Atrix report wrong value....
The battery fix by jaggernaut is for Gingerbread. I am running JellyBean.
By the way: funny thing happened: I dropped the phone again, so the battery fell out abruptly again... Now it reports the percentage properly...
I've noticed something odd with my G5 battery "coffin". It doesn't seem to charge my battery when using the additional USB on it to power something else... Has anybody noticed? Ive only used that functionality twice, but I decided to try and power my Chromecast through it while charging my battery, and both times, the battery is completely dead the next morning.
Anyone else experience this?
it is supposed to do that, it will charge the phone first then charge the battery innside the "coffin"

Dang, that's annoying. Thought they could be used in parallel, I thought I was good since the dots on the side of the coffin were lit up. Thanks!
