Been running Jelly Beans since v1 but since I just now registered I can't yet post in a development thread. I was wondering if anyone knew how to temporarily disable ad blocking for the purpose of using the Medscape app. Thanks for any help or direction.
Ad blocking is usually done via the hosts file. You could try replacing his hosts file with a stock one.

Ant idea what folder I might find those in? It's tough to spend a lot of time searching since I'm a nurse working 12 hour shifts and can't use my phone on the floor.
Are you a Murse? That's awesome. Here you go: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.adaway
Download this and apply ad blocking (I know, I know) then disable it from the same app. Idea is, replace beans host file with this one, then disable it. Not sure if this app would know beans host file. Anyways, that's what I'd do. Reboot afterwards.

Ehh....not sure if this will work. Try it. Default host files would probably be beans ad block files. Try it.

Point for 1manwolfepack! Lol (I'm trying to be nicer lately, fellas/fellalettes)
When I click on a movie it loads forever any idea why?
Its not my WiFi or data that is the issue.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Are you running a custom ROM? If so, which one?

If you are running CM10.x (or any CM / AOSP based ROM) then you will need to install Xposed and the Xposed Netflix module.

So i'm running CM10.2 Nightlies on this device (SGH-I777) and everything runs great except Netflix. Coming from CM10.1 Nightlies everything worked great but I get some error message on the XPosed framework about not being able to access a whitelist of some sort now that I'm on Android 4.3. Appreciate some help.
PS: Tried this method also with no avail

I grabbed the latest APK from there and threw it under /system/apps with rw-r--r-- permissions.
I just got my watch today! (Nov dev edition) and I'm having a hard time getting my contacts on it and the oapp store. All I have is the home screen with a calculator. Is there a user guide or a guide to getting started? I've installed my micro Sim card, but I don't know how to connect to my google account to get my contacts on my watch. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Ok, so I figured out how to load apps and the ostore, and I signed into my google account, but I'm still trying to figure out how to load my contacts onto the phone. If anyone has any advice, that would be great, if not, I'll try and figure it out and post here if I do.

In short.
Connect your TS to your computer.
Enable USB storage when the option pops up
Transfer files.

Okay I got it. It was very tedious I had to go to Xda Developers website on the watch and download the APK. Thanks Loki I'm just not really computer literate. I will continue to ask questions on here I didn't mean to bother you on Google plus
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
You might want to learn how to transfer files or otherwise it will take forever to move pics, vids and music back and forth.
all good. it happens, just try to get folks to the right place for support.
Do you have a Samsung Gear? Will I be able to use this like the Gear in the future (I just want notifications and to respond to texts from the watch) is that possible I've downloaded the Master (phone) and Companion (Truesmart) apps and I don't get any notifications. I've searched this forum and Google plus for information and have not seen anything yet about it other than Kurt (who is a God for his work) supposed to have fixed it any help with this would be greatly appreciated
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
The BT is broken on the entire x201 line so even Kurt's app has issues. Until either Umeox fixes it or CM is released I would not expect full companion mode capability any time soon.
Okay thanks
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
If the BT is broken is that a hardware issue? If it is a hardware issue how would someone fix it

If you put a SIM card in it then it's no different than phone.
This watch is great I just want to be able to use it unfortunately I have Verizon for phone service so I'm looking at prepaid service from T-Mobile or ATT

Already have, sadly those third party apps that make it possible will stop working in a couple months as Google plans to block third party apps access to the service.

So yesterday I had a notification on my phone that said "Towelroot - remove this program immediately"
Since this program was downloaded and installed without the knowledge of the Google Play store, how does it know that my phone has the program in it. And it's not really an active program. It's a use it once type program, to my understanding.
So, does this mean that Google is snooping though my phone looking at everything I have installed and reporting it back to the mothership? Where else is it snooping?
And mostly, how can I prevent this.
If your phone is already rooted, why do you still have towel root there...you can uninstall it..it won't affect root status

at some point...looks like you accepted the prompt to allow Google to verify apps for harmful behaviour. ..that's why it's giving you that warning

Ahhhhhh..... Just a few days ago I think I put a check in the box that said verify apps.
