What custom recovery should I use for my device? CWM or Twrp? This Samsung J1 uses a new chip set, Spreadtrum, with arm processor. I tried to find this info and couldn't find any... CWM and Twrp sites don't include this device in their lists. Please help. Thanks...

I recently finished TWRP for J5. I feel you guys! Lower phones deserve the custom support allot since they NEED it! Now, I am scarred of that processor but I could give it a try. All I need is a tester since I don't own a J-series phone

Just rooted mine by flashing a pre-rooted rom via Odin. The secret behind this hussle is that the sm-j200h model happens to be the 3g variant of the J2 which uses the Exynos processor as opposed to the Snapdragon in other variants. Rooting snapdragon devices seem quite easier than that of the Exynos. After searching the web for several days I finally arrived @ answer "howtoandroidhack.blogspot.co.ke/2016/01/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-j2-sm-j200h.html?m=1"
Beware, this is for the 3g variant (sm-j200h) only. It shouldn't be tried on any other variant!
