Excuse me if there is a thread already for this, but do we have any stock rooted ROMs for the Lollipop builds? Stock LG rom that is.
I know there is the restore tools, I am just looking for a basic stock rooted for my device.
In Development (non-original). JasmineROM 9.1 and SkyDragon 6.0x.
Sorry I was looking more of stock unmodified other then root.

If you don't flash the optional debloat zip for JasmineROM, then other than root, there's very, very little that's modified about it, and nothing noticeable at all. The biggest modification is to make it work with Xposed if you decide to flash the latest Xposed for 5.1.1.
The second biggest modifcation(s) can't be reasonably helped. Both JasmineROM and SkyDragon have the bootloader from 12B and the modem from 24B. The reason it has the old bootloader is because that's the only way currently to still get into TWRP, and it has the 24B modem because the 35B modem doesn't work with the 12B bootloader.
One or two people have had success getting Advanced Calling working in this configuration, but most have not - so you'll likely have to uncheck the option in the ROM and disable it as it comes enabled by default.

Hi all,
So my question is a pretty basic one, but obvious answer doesn't seem to be logical.
I just rooted my Verizon GS4 ME7, and installed SafeStrap 3.6x build, successfully, root achieved.
Now, my question is, I've tried installing the ROMs from other devs that state that they are TWRP compatible (because SS is TWRP based), yet none of them have booted successfully. So, if the problem exists because of a lack of compatibility (for a reason I'm not fully understanding), what is the point of having SS without any ROMs being compatible?
I'm willing to help a dev with coding or something to fix the problem, but idk what to look for or why this is happening?.
HELP!
Thanks!

Just because its twrp compatible doesnt mean its SS compatible. Any rom that doesnt use the TW kernel wont work, so aosp roms are out of the question. What roms are you trying to install and stupid question, did you follow the install procedure outlined in the SS thread.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

So I guess that makes sense. I did follow the procedure outlined in the thread; to the T. I just tried the PACman ROM, SlimBut what are some roms that DO use the TW kernel? Because as far as I can tell, the only ROM that successfully flashes thus far is the HYPERDRIVE ROM, which is stock minus the bloatware and adding a few tweaks.

Hi guys, I'm currently running a Hyperdrive RLS10 ROM, but I'm looking into the future with the new KitKat release, and I was interested in trying some of those features when sbreen updates his Hyperdrive ROM. Thing is, I'm a Verizon ME7 user with an MDK phone, and I have no idea how to take advantage of these new features, as from what I read so far, a simple reflash won't work. Can someone tell me exactly what I have to do to get from ME7 to MJ7 and still have my app data and messages? The rest I could reconfigure but I really need to keep the app data.
I've read things about having to ODIN back to stock, and whatnot, but won't that technically kill all the stuff on my phone with no recovery? :/
EDIT: after a bit of looking I'm reading that since I have an MDK phone it's actually fairly valuable for this, but I don't get exactly what for.

Because you can flash ROMs via TWRP.
MDK has the LOKI exploit available with a bootloader that can be bypassed or hijacked.
Look in the ROM area.
You will find what you need.
There are ROMs based on MJ7 4.3 that won't screw up your phone.
You just need TWRP.

Will I need to ODIN or any of that though? And Hyperdrive is at the moment based on 4.3 MJ7 so all I need to do is have TWRP and then I can just flash RLS12 onto my phone like a regular ROM installation?

what recovery do have loaded and how did you flash HD10? You would flash any custom rom the same way. As long as you haven't taken any OTAs or odin'd a higher level firmware you should be good to go
What update are most Verizon LG G3 users on 10b, 11c, or 12b?
I am rooted on 10b. Very happy and not interested in rom's. Although I will bump and use a stock rom as soon as there is an update I want that I can't root or can't roll back.
Rooted on stock 12b via OTAs. Yes, rooted. Just ensure SuperSU has the "Survival Mode" setting checked and you do NOT have TWRP installed and it will preserve root through the 11c to the 12b OTAs. Also, don't have installed anything like Xposed, Busybox, etc. Not sure if those would affect it, but they have on other phones.
I had stock 10b rooted, no frozen apps, nothing removed, etc. Took the 11c OTA, then the 12b OTA and each time, root as still there.
I am rooted and on jasmine 4.0 with 12B modem and SkyDragon 2.72 kernel. System is heavily modded via Xpose. This combo is fantastic imo.
Rooted, running the 12b modem and system, 11c boot.

Did you get the 12b modem from Jasmine?
Are you in an extended network?
If so did you notice a difference in the network?

Yes I did, I'm on US Cellular at the moment, but data has always been insanely slow at 1x.
10b and loving it. Gonna possibly flash the fix for the blurry text and the new radios. Will do lollipop when it has more xposed framework support .

How is hotspot, camera, bt, and radios?
Running JasmineROM 4.0 (12B) with SkyDragon kernel 0.2.7.4 as my daily driver. But I've got a few LP nandroids that I switch between for some fun. Running the stock rom mainly for camera features tbh
Also can we see some screen shots of the dialer thanks
AOSP all the way! Anything less is less than this great phone deserves! Running the latest Illusion rom and it's the best LP rom out there at the moment, IMHO.

Wifi works good. I updated the google cam to latest one and its ok, not as good as stock but ok. Everything else works good for me. I just found the LG quick remote app for 5.0.x

Never took an OTA update. Went from stock 10b to rooted, bumped with TWRP, then flashed custom ROMs. Tried SkyDragon, CM 11, now have been using SlimKat 4.4.4 for weeks. Awesome ROM and does everything I need it to (along with compatibility with Xposed).

Hi! before anything else, let me get this out of the way so you know my situation:
Verizon GS4 SCHi545
version: 4.2.2
baseband: ME7
Safestrap Installed, Jelly beans build 7 installed
Now, as far as I can tell there still is no unlock for the bootloader (i think MDK was the last unlocked baseband?), so I'm wondering if there's any way that I can keep root and upgrade to 4.4 or something higher, because I'm a little tired of being told I can't use 4.4 apps, and plus I would REALLY like to get off of touchwiz if I can. Basically, I'm getting a little sick of where I've been at for so long with this phone, and I'm looking for recommendations for things I could do, if there even is something.
Thanks guys!
You definitely can upgrade and keep root all the way to LP 5.0.1 (or OC1). Look in the development section for ROMs that are Safestrap compatible. Do not use roms for MDK as this will softbrick your phone. DO NOT TAKE THE OTA UPDATES TO UPGRADE AS YOU COULD GET STUCK WITH OC1 BOOTLOADER AND NO ROOT. Upgrade yourself using safestrap, just remember to flash the current SU.zip file after the ROM.zip to retain root. As long as your bootloader is below OC1 you can always use Odin to restore to NC5 and then root and go from there.
As far as getting away from TW - well good luck. Being on ME7 you are stuck with a nonMDK bootloader and must flash ROMs through Safestrap. All of the ROMs for Safestrap are TW based.
There are numerous tutorials and ROMs in the development section. Look for the Safestrap compatible ones. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE "T". DO NOT DEVIATE. For 4.4 I prefer Hyperdrive 21. Great ROM with loads of customizations.

make sure you read before flashing if you do it incorrectly you will lose root/bootloader unlocked status PERMANENTLY
can i use this method to update, even though I'm not going from NC2 or MK2? cause me7 is below the two of them right?

I have figured out nearly everything to get my phone setup. What is eluding me at the moment is how to get from where I am to where the latest custom roms are. Below has been my process:
Started on 24B stock
TOT method to 10B
Stump Root
SuperSU
TWRP
10B to 12B using TWRP (retaining root)
At this point I would like to get to a custom ROM, for example SkyDragon, Resurrection, Turbo, etc. Is it as simple as downloading the rom and GAPPS, then flashing with TWRP, or do I need to move forward from 12B before I try and get to the next step? Aside, should XDABBEB's VS985 be part of my process? I'm getting a bit lost in the muck between 12B and 47A; where I should be and how to get there.
Overall, I'd like the simplest route to not having issues with advanced calling and wireless charging. It that mean not touching marshmallow quite yet, cool with me. I look forward to hearing back, and thanks to everyone who put in the hard work to package these projects together, as well as those who detail their steps and results along the way.

Just as long as you keep in mind that stock LG-based ROMs like SkyDragon, JasmineROM and @xdabbeb 's already have GApps, so you would only need GApps for CyanogenMod or CM-based ROMs like Resurrection. Personally, I stick with stock LG-based ROMs because they just work.
You also need to be on the correct Bootstack. 12B for KitKat, 24B for Lollipop 5.0.x and 35B for Lollipop 5.1.x and Marshmallow. Get used to flashing the bootstack AFTER flashing the ROM because if you ever flash JasmineROM or SkyDragon and you flash the bootstack before instead of after, the ROM will overwrite part of the bootstack and depending on some other variables you can brick your phone. Recoverable, but bricked.
or do I need to move forward from 12B before I try and get to the next step?

Only if you want to be on his ROM. Personally, his VS985 v2.0 ROM is my overall favorite although I'm currently using his stock 47A firmware completely debloated.

Advanced/HD Calling works fine for me on 47A. I thought I tested it fine on @xdabbeb 's VS985 v2.0 too, but it's been such a long time ago I can't say for sure. Advanced Calling isn't available on CM-based ROMs like Resurrection, only stock LG-based ROMs. Wireless charging might be the same, but I don't know for sure and never used it.
