All,
I have rooted my Sprint S6 Edge running Android Version 5.0.2.
I would like to install a custom rom however it appears you need to be on 5.1.1 to install any of the newer ROM's. I was looking to flash XtreStoLite Odexed Pure ROM.
However, I'm open to any ROM that I can run smoothly and remove most of this bloatware. I'm experiencing significant performance decrease as of late.
If this question has already been ask please just point me to the thread. I did a search on the site but couldn't find a specific answer to my question.
Thanks for all responses.

Hello everyone,
Sorry if this is the wrong area, but it felt right at first look. I have a International Galaxy S3, rooted, but still didn`t change the ROM... Since o rooted it to use some apps, I've noticed i couldn't install new updates anymore, so I started looking out for a new ROM.
I got interested in Omega ROM, like this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720628
My software is still 4.1.2, can I install a 4.2.2 version of Omega, do I need to take some step before?? Besides, is it stable, since it`s not out yet for galaxy s3?? If I install, can I go back to 4.1.2 smoothly??
I'm asking that because I had a Galaxy S1 and had to install a bootloader before changing the room version. Now I'm a little confused...
Thanks for your help

As long as you have an I9300/T you can install any rom, just make sure you do a nandroid before and some wipes as instructed in the thread. The instructions on how to flash e.g. Omega will be in the thread for sure. In addition you have to make sure, at the moment at least, to have the right kernel (e.g. Siyah will not work with the newer 4.2.1/4.2.2 roms).
read the basics first
I am having a S6 edge with Lollypop 5.1.1 firmware version ending with COGA. Saw some posts on XDA and decided to root the device. Since I couldn't find any articles with firmware version COGA; I flashed the previous firmware of the same build(COF8).
Its rooted(flashed with Unikernel); but now I want to install a custom ROM. Looking in xda(S6 edge) forums I am seeing many threads with lots and lots of information written. Unfortunately this has made me confused about what should be my next step. Can anybody please direct me about what ROM should I install now pref with a mod kernel and some exclusive Edge tweaks which will give me decent battery life as well as performance as and when needed. I really want to mod the device and would really appreciate if anybody guides me.
So I've messed around with my Galaxy S3 in the past and did a few custom roms a long time ago but as I've been learning about my new tmobile variant of the S5 I've seen more than a dozen kids bricking phones from doing things wrong. I don't want to be that guy.
I'm running 5.1.1, I'm rooted, (twrp recovery, ODIN flash SuperSU Beta method) G900TUVS1FOL1
My questions are as follows.
1. Do I need a rom designed specifically for the FOL1 baseband version?
2. If so is there a way to change it one of the many others I've seen?
My goal is to get a debloated stockish rom, I'm tired of all the bloat that comes on this thing. Thank you guys so much in advance.
Long story. I have a Straighttalk Galaxy S6 (5.0.2) odexed rom.
Sadly, Straightalk doesn't have firmware updates for my phone.
I have searched EVERYWHERE on google for a custom rom that matches the model SM-S906L but no luck. The reason why I need a custom rom is so I can use Xposed.
According to the Internet, Xposed currently does not support 5.0.2 stock (odexed roms), TouchWiz roms. So thats why I was wanting a DEODEXED rom that will support my phone.
If any on knows what custom roms that work on the model SM-S906L It would be greatly appreciated if anyone gave me some info.
Any help would be appreciated!

Did you ever manage to install 5.1.1 or 6.01 on your phone? I have the same phone on 5.02. Some say you can flash stock SM-G920R6 on 6.01. (but not sboot and modem). Tried but failed.
Still not roms or info on this device
Hi,
I've been looking for an answer to my question, and I think it's been catagorically answered - you cannot downgrade from nougat to marshmallow mainly because the bootloader needs to be downgraded.
I desperately want to get back to marshmallow as nougat broke a certain app that I use all the time, and the app is no longer being maintained.
I currently have SuperStock S8 ROM installed on my G925F. Before I rooted and installed this, it was running the official OTA Samsung Updates available in the UK (my phone is BTU). This firmware would have been this one here - https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s6-edge/SM-G925F/BTU/download/G925FXXS5EQL6/202020/
Now my question is can I downgrade to marshmallow at all? I mean, even if it's an unofficial ROM which requires root (preferable). Because I think the main reason the app I'm having difficulty with has stopped working is due to the bootloader or modem... Possibly. I don't really know what I'm talking about.
Any help is greatly appreciated, and apologies if I have left out any relevant info required to help provide an answer.
Thanks in advance.
