before this happened I'm on SLX v24 and TWRP 2.7.1, everything normal and no error. Then I want to try the MIUI v7 5.10.8. I follow the instructions in xda, I flashed newest TWRP 2.8.7 rev1 (inside the zip there's update-binary-f2fs), reboot again to TWRP and flashed MIUI, and reboot to MIUI, then I noticed that there's no baseband and IMEI, then I restore IMEI from my backup with mobileuncle, reboot it, and still unknown. I try to change modem, reboot it, and still unknown. I cant edit the cds radio. I already tried deleted the nvram folder, reboot it and still unknown. Then I tried to flashed it to stock rom with flashtool hoping it restored to normal, but still the baseband and IMEI unknown.
can anyone help me??

Hi. Try this, but no garanties, because you could corrupted the NVRAM:
1. Download this recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0rev2-p780row.zip from here; NOT OPTIONAL, ONLY THAT RECOVERY.
2. put it on the sd card .
3. Reboot in recovery and flash openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0rev2-p780row.zip.
4. reboot in recovery again.
5. do a full wipe except sd card
6. Reboot in system and tell me if your imei is back.

I've previously used LGMDP to install clockworkmod and haven't had any problems. I upgraded to V20g using LG's update utility and that's been fine, though it's T_Mobile branded. I've tried to install the unbranded European V20e through LGMDP and that's where the problems started.
At the end of the V20e flash, I got errors when it tried the NV restore. Items 1 to 158 have a status of NV_FAIL_S. After that, the phone won't boot. It gets stuck on the Android boot animation.
I've tried NV Restore with previous backups that I know have been OK before, but it still fails the same way.
If I use LGMDP to flash T-Mobile V20g, then flash clockworkmod (still getting NV errors), I can run clockwordmod & restore my backup from before I started this. After that, the phone boots & seems normal. I've got a signal, anyway.
I'm still a bit worried that something isn't right, though. It still refuses to restore the NV. I've tried going back to V10g using LGMDP and it fails to restore the NVs and the phone won't boot.
So, has clockworkmod restored everything I need and is there any way to fix this so I can use LGMDP again?
I think I've resolved this now, so I'll post what I've done in case anyone finds this in a search.
I already had a V20g KDZ file for my provider, which I got by following the instructions here. I looked for an alternative flash app and found details of KDZ Updater here.
V20g flashed successfully with that software. After that, I've tried LGMDP again and can do an NV Restore with no errors now, so things look like they're back to normal.
I still can't flash V20e with this software, though, I still get stuck on the Android boot animation.
I had changed baseband 3-4 times. In last 3 attempts, I also got these errors. But my phone rebooted normally after these errors. I had fully working phones in all the cases. Don't know why there were errors?
Same thing here. Hundred something NV_FAIL_S errors but phone seems ok though.
You have to do factory reset after flashing new ROMs.
This may solve bootloop.

ive never heard of this one before. isnt it just wipe cache, dalvik cache, etc, in recovery?
I decided to try again with V20e but used the kdz file and KDZ Updater this time. Same thing happened, stuck on Android boot animation.
So I put clockwork on, wiped cache & dalvik, tried again, same problem. Reboot into clockwork, factory reset, reboot, same problem. Finally, I booted into clockwork, went to Advanced and Fix Permissions. After that it booted fine.
While installing clockwork through LGMDP I didn't get any errors. I've also tried an NV Restore with no problems. No idea what went wrong the first time.
I am currently on the unofficial cm10.1 rom by JamieD81. My phone says unknown baseband even though i have already flashed the ucmb4 modem and it also can't read any sim card. This happened to me on several other roms also. Flashing a modem doesn't seem to have any effect. I am using twrp. My phone is unlocked.
Return to the stock version ROM and modem to recover your baseband and get your sim card recognized.
Then just flash the ROM. Your modem isn't affected by flashing a ROM.
I go into recovery wipe cache and dalvik and fix permissions in advanced. It always recognizes after that for me. Not sure what v causes it. I was told just fixing permissions works but if I'm in recovery I'm going to wipe!

Thanks your method worked.
I ODIN'd back to stock from the Avatar Rom. I ran the update file twice to get into CWM recovery. I did the Factory Wipe, Wipe Data, & Wipe Dalvik Cache process. Loaded cm-10-20120823.1414-UNOFFICIAL-vibrantmtd which I had on my phone once before and when starting it said my IMEI was different. No biggie, went back to stock. Tested the phone, IMEI was back to normal.
I then did the update to root only, booted the phone, downloaded Titanium Backup Pro since I've been able to restore my IMEI before while using it, tried to use it and was told I wasn't rooted.
I then downloaded and renamed recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-vibrant to update.zip. I ran the update file twice to get into CWM recovery. I did the Factory Wipe, Wipe Data, & Wipe Dalvik Cache process. Loaded cm-10-20120823.1414-UNOFFICIAL-vibrantmtd again on my phone and when starting it said my IMEI was different.
Can someone tell me what is going wrong? Recovery also seems to be reverting back to stock recovery when I go into it.
Used SOC. Loaded RemICS, no IMEI change occured. FIXED!!!!!!
Could it be that I need to first install CM7 before the CM10? That wouldn't explain the phone reverting back to stock recovery though.
I tried installing back to noot v9 without back-uping on my s3 using clockworkmod and it gave me error status 7. I tried repairing it using odin and this rom stockroms(dot)net/file/GalaxyS3/i9300/stockrecovery/International-GT-i9300-StockRecovery.tar. Odin sais that everithing went ok and shows that big green pass icon, but everithing it did was to delete even the cwmr everything that remained being android system recovery. Also, it can't mount my sd card (I tried formating it as NTSF and FAT32).
PS: I don't know if my phone is original.
flash latest twrp
No. To be sure, that everything works, exec factory reset in samsung-recovery and reboot.
he have cwm, he should flash latest (cwm end suporrt in 2014 )
only twrp, that rom work for me
Android system recovery isn't CWM. CWM or TWRP aren't ROMs. Read&understand 1st.
read again rp158
he use default recorvery for repartition,
bisoros
check checksum rom.zip and flash custom recovery again, full wipe and try again
Hallo everyone,
I donĀ“t get my baseband running. And I think I tried nearly everything.
My baseband broke while running an ota and power off...
Anyways: I tied the following:
1. Backing up every partition with twrp.
2. flashing stock android via Odin with repartition and efs-clear -> data partition not working -> twrp repair -> working again.
3. wipe everything and flash stock recovery again without repartition and efs clear
4. restored nv_data.bin, disabled factory mode, added new serial
5. rebootet and again: baseband unknown.
6. rebooted to twrp and formatted efs with adb.
7. flashed modem again, restored nv_data.bin -> not working
8. Erased Flash reinstalled everythin new -> baseband unknown.
I just get no working basband, even if I put in my imei manually via xposed Imei changer.
Has anyone an idea.
Thanks!
Which firmware are you trying to flash and what model of the phone do you have?
