I have "OK Google" set to always on on my Nexus 6. However when you are saying "OK Google" to your watch, it turns my phone on. Can you disable "always on" while your watch is connected?

And I would be interested in how to disable effectively the "OK Google" pop-up in the watch display? Really annoying.

just say it once and back out of the search thing. it'll go away.
And when both your watch and phone hear you say "ok google" at the same time, it seems the watch takes precedence. the phone's listening screen is still there, but it doesnt really do anything. the watch handles it. happens in my car all the time.

Hello,
My screen randomly lights up by itself during calls.smartstay is deactivated.Does some of you have an idea of what is causing it?
Cordially
Mine too sometimes, have no idea though

Not sure if it's part of smart stay, but there is an option to make the screen turn off during a call if it thinks the phone is at your ear, then turn on again when you are looking at it. If I can remember where the option is (if not smart stay) I will post the process to turn it off.

Hmm, haven't used a headset with the S3. I will dig my jabra out in a bit and see if I can replicate the problem.

It just sounds like the proximity sensor that turns screen off when it detects phone up to ear and don't think there's anyway to turn it off.

and with Bluetooth, no ear so the sensor can't be the problem

It happens with bluetooth headset but also with the wired headset.I least I know that is probably a software related issue
Probably didn't matter, but found where the option for auto screen off during calls Is.
In phone app, menu, call settings, auto screen off.
If that is part of the problem.

Same problem for me, only with bluetooth headset.
Any solution?
Sensation V rom
Galaxy Note 2 - Verizon
I noticed I am able to talk to text using the messaging and gtalk app just fine while at home with bluetooth turned on. However once in and paired to my 2012 Toyota Highlander I am no longer able to talk to text in those applications unless I turn bluetooth off. Google Now is unaffected at all.
Anyone else notice this bug?
Thanks.

This has effected me on Google now also. The only thing that works right is s-voice, but who wants to use that!? I found a workaround, but you are basically still using your phone for the voice recognition, and the Bluetooth strictly for voice calls. If you can work with that and just toggle between the two if you want to use your Bluetooth for other audio, this will work for you.
Just go into your Bluetooth settings for whatever device you have paired, and turn off "media audio". Voice detection will now work fine, but you have to do it through the phone(which kind of defeats the purpose, but hey...it's just a temporary workaround). Hope this helps

I hear you there, I'm not constantly jumping back and forth between the two, so for now it works, just gotta change it when I want to stream.

Not just the Note II either. My SGS3 does exactly the same thing. Seems like a bug or someone, somewhere thought it was good idea. Siri (on my iPhone 4S)worked while streaming audio and paired to my car and my Nexus 7 works too (even though it doesn't have a 'phone' both options are there and checked and it works).
I just noticed this last night. While my headset was paired, I tried to use speech recognition through Swiftkey Flow Beta and it would not work. Also, when I hit the multi-purpose button on my headset to voice dial, SIRI would come up instead.
SIRI must die. Soon.
Is there anything new with this issue?
Between this and the other problem with the music player auto starting, my enjoyment of my note 2 while in my car is severely limited.
No movement but something needs to happen as this is really annoying.

I find it works on Swype beta.

"Ok Google from any screen" overrides and disables voice control. Any tricks?
In Google Now if I turn on the ability to say "Ok Google" from any screen it overrides and disables the voice commands on the device (Incoming calls, camera, alarm music). Is there anyway to get around this and have both work simultaneously?
Completely stock device
Thanks

if you have nova launcher it has it built in by default so that you can say ok google from any screen
that way you can use it and break nothing else
Ahhh.... I was looking at that in Nova today and couldn't figure out what the difference was.
So if I turn on in Nova and unselected it in Google Now I should be good to go?

Hello.
After update to Emui 9.1 I don't get audio over phone when my mobile is connected over Bluetooth.
The settings in Google maps are set to audio over loudspeaker. In Emui 9 I don't have such a problem with audio.
After downgrade to Emui 9, the problem is gone.
Anyone else with this problem, or any tips?

I had the same problem in 9.0. No sound over Bluetooth to car speaker and no sound from phone. Turn off bluetooth and I get sound from phone. Same in 9.1 hope someone finds a solution
This isnt just Mate 20 pro issue, I had the same problem on my galaxy S6 when connected to cars bluetooth. I still didnt try my mate 20 pro how it will work with my car...
I noticed it too, cause all I want is incidentally listen music over Bluetooth, but mostly just listen to the radio, so I used the switch in Maps settings to output just that audio over the phone speaker. But now in 9.1 my if I listen to the radio the Maps navigation directions are gone, cause my car audio is on radio and not on Bluetooth.
I now disable the audio output in Bluetooth settings and just keep the phone output. When I want to listen music over Bluetooth, I re-enable the the audio output.
Same here with Honor 10
Same happens to me. Was working fine in Emui 9, setting is broken in 9.1. So frustrating. I mean how hard can it be to fix this? I had this working fine in earlier versions of Android with Xposed lol. Not rooted anymore though, so no more xposed for me.
Nothing new about this I guess... It's a pain.
Happens to me (Honor 10), and to my wife (Huawei Mate 10), both after emui 9.1.
Also noticed that notifications won't make any sound on speaker while connected to cars BT.
It's still the same with EMUI 10 too. Only sound from Google Maps over speaker with Bluetooth disabled.
