Hey guys, I dled the new cyanogenmod nightly the other day and everything was good. Installed the LanchontrimFPbug kernel (latest one), and things were good. Problem is that I thought it would be a good idea to flash the signed TWRP recovery since it was still on the cyanogenmod recovery menu. I flashed it and when I went to reboot, I got stuck on the samsung logo.
So I can't boot into recovery now, and I'm softbricked. I can boot into download mode, so I figured I would be able to fix things through Odin with the help of the guides around...Problem is that Odin will not recognize my phone. At first the drivers failed to install, and when I downloaded and installed the samsung drivers, nothing happened. The phone still tried to install drivers and they failed. (do I need to install the drivers somewhere specific? I have them installed in program files).
So I found out about Zadig. So I ran Zadig and there was no errors but Odin still will not recognize the phone...
Anyone know anything to help me get by this?

Hi, I'm pretty new to rooting and whathaveyou, and followed a guide to installing Siyah-s2-v6.0b5, and everything was working fine, until I came across Cyanogen, which I'd saw a while back and looked quite interesting. I tried to install Cyanogen once the phone was rooting, but the installer on my PC said that my device was unavailable for the installation, for which I appointed to the fact that it was rooted.
I downloaded the Cyanogen install zip for my SGS2, and in the recovery menu used "install zip from sdcard" from which I selected the Cyanogen zip. The installation failed, and any attempt at starting the phone would lead me to the CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2.-Siyah, and no further. I'm able to access the download mode.
I attempted using Odin3 v3.07 to install a stock kernel onto the phone, but I was left with the boot, maybe I was doing it wrong?
I'd really appreciate some help, thanks.

Hey guys, I dug out my old i605 the other day and wanted to update to the latest cm nightly for the device. Not realizing I was about to do something wrong, I downloaded an app called Flashify and installed the latest cm recovery through the app. Well this made my device boot loop. So now, I need to flash a working recovery to my device to fix it. After googling for a bit, I learned that I need Odin to do so. So I am now using Odin v3.10.7. But, I cannot get any recovery tars I've found to flash. They all come back as failed. I'm at a loss here and hope someone knows how to get this thing back up and running.
My PC is on Windows 10 and I do have the latest Samsung drivers installed. On my Note 2 in download mode, it says my current binary is Samsung Official and my system status is custom. What I do not know is what recovery and firmware my i605 was on previously.
Thanks guys
EDIT: I guess what I'd really like to do is get the device back to stock rooted.
Edit 2: Fixed the problem. Uninstalled the Samsung drivers and reinstalled them and changed to Odin 3.07. Ended up restoring the device with the unlocked bootloader restore here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264
So I recently got my hands on an international Samsung Galaxy S3. The device is bricked. I've already had a lot of experience with unbricking this device and I've always done it succesfully. However this time everything fails.
The situation: Currently running Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.4.6, which is (more or less) the latest for this device. I've got an 8 GB micro SD-card, so flashing custom roms should work just fine. Unfortunately though, this is not the case. I've tried several roms already: cyanogenmod 10, 11, 12, 13, Blisspop, Blekota, Revolutionary android HD, S5-rom, Archidroid, Archiport, ParanoidAndroid... and they all fail to be flashed correctly through CWM. Some of them come with the Aroma-installer. The wizard launches succesfully and I've managed to install Archiport and Blekota with it. At the end of the wizard I get the prompt that the rom installed correctly. But when I reboot the device afterwards... still bricked!
I've also tried to install roms via Odin (3.07, 3.09, 3.10 .... ) but none of them installed right. Odin says "NAND Write start...." and then "FAIL!" Everytime, or Odin just crashes.
The only clue I can think of is Clockworkmod that's causing all these conflicts... I've had more succes in the past by using TWRP or PhilzTouch. So I tried to flash these other recoveries via Odin, which fails every time with every version of the recovery. I also tried to flash it using CWM. Here I get the message that the zip installed correctly, but when I reboot into recovey again I'm still running CWM.
Like I said, I've tried EVERYTHING. It's very unusual that NOTHING works.
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Brick in what sense????

I recently tried to install an custom rom onto my note 2, didnt work very well i was unsure what i was doing and never installed an custom recovery. i tried to install the rom using stock recovery and after it said installing it threw out the "no command error" and went straight to stock recovery. Ive done some research on this and all the possible fixes require an computer connection and programs like odin or fastboot my problem is that my phone hasnt been able to connect to my pc for sometime now, it doesnt even detect an connected device.(from download or recovery mode). please let me know if there is anyway to install some sort of fix using stock recovery with an zip file from a sd card. Please if anyone can help me.
Hi, my Galaxy S2 was working great with KitKat that I flashed and then thought why not try a new LiniageOS. That Rom failed to install and I figured I would try an updated TWRP recovery. I tried the newest version and it failed to install. It warned me I had no rom installed on reboot but I rebooted anyway and went back to recovery. No issues until I tried an earlier version of TWRP that failed during install as well and now is in boot loop with no Rom. Can not enter recovery mode either. Can enter download mode but Odin and my computer do not seem to detect my phone when plugged in via usb. Tried 3 usb cables but only one computer available. Samsung usb drivers installed.
Any ideas what to do next.
Thanks!
