Anyone know if theres any development on the Tribute 2? Im wanting to run CM but i cant find anything.
Bootloader
I currently am not aware of any development, but I have a request if its not asking too much. Would it be possible that you make a backup image of your stock boot loader and post it? I'm using the boost variant. I kind of ruined my boot loader and cant restore or even update anymore, I accidentally tried to flash in incompatible boot loader from the ls660...thanks for any help in advance.

I have the Boost edition of the Tribute 2. Did you still need to the bootloader? I'm actually looking for the stock Virgin Mobile rom for this phone. If anyone has the Virgin edition of this phone and could make a backup and upload of it, I would greatly appreciate it!!

I have the Virgin Mobile Tribute 2, and I would be willing to attempt to make back up and post it, but unfortunately, I am not quite that advanced in developing for android phones. If I could get steps on backing up the stock rom, I will do that for you. I need to learn how do that anyways, as well as other android developing skills.

Hey everybody thanks for looking in I just recently shifted from the t-mobile g2 and my new atrix is arriving in a week and I'm really excited I've been using htc devices since forever and this is my first motorola device so I'm a little new to the .sbf file system and all and the bootloaders..
I'm a rom fiend and i need my fix also i need to sideload apps.. and need to sim unlock my phone as well.. the phone will be running 2.2 and its factory sealed.
What my question is that can someone point to me a noob friendly guide and also what to start of with? ( i mean should i sim unlock first, BL unlock first or root)

Once you have that boot-loader nice and unlocked and good to go your are going to need a decent recovery environment.

Then when you have your recovery environment set up and ready its time for a good ROM to top the project off.
When it comes to picking your rom its mostly about your personal choice.

If you are just getting started I would strongly recommend going with CherryBlur to start as it gives you everything that you should need from the start.
As for root if you use one of these roms you will have it by default.

I need help on how to get custom rom for my tecno N3 Android gingerbread.
I have been looking for a way to get my phone updated but to no avail also I found out that there is a place in the phone where they have system update but when I click it, it will only be update locally when I go through it will bring me to my files browser. I don't understand, please how can I make it to be updated.

Just recently they managed to get root to work on it for 4.4. While I have heard that someone managed to get a copy of the bootloader, I don't think anyone has developed an alternate that works. Mainly because the phone is so old and that dealing with the bootloader on this phone tends to be problematic. (Can you say "BRICK"). Enjoy root while you can and look for another model of phone that has lots of mods still working with it. I did....

Can Anyone Make A Video On Doing This Root Method? Or Possibly Just Helping Me Out. Had The 5.1 Lollipop And Used The Klickit Tool Which Then Unlocked Bootloader,Gave Me Twrp Which I Then Flashed SuperSu. It's very easy to do. Just Google Search how to unlock the bootloader on the V10. What model are you using? Is it a T-Mobile , Atat etc?

I have the t mobile variant. Every time I attempt to unlock it states it's unlocked but when I reboot the phone. Or does not inform me I'm unlocked like how it did when I had the 5.1 lollipop. Also then try and get twrp and root but no luck. Please give me a email or pm.
So i just got a used v10 from a friend, and i wanna ask a few questions
Its on the latest update, i think the software is 2AA. Is there much progress on root for that?
Also, there IS a way to get custom boot animations without root correct? because I plan to activate this phone with metroPCS and you know, it doesnt make much sense to have a metro phone booting with verizon animations.
Any help you guys can pass on to me is greatly appreciated.
