I have a Moto E 2nd generation that bought in July 2015. The only modification I've done is to unlock the boot loader and root it so I could install an ad blocker from f-droid.
I've had a lot of trouble with the phone. I frequently get the "camera unavailable" error, and I've had to do a full factory reset four times now because I get the Google App has closed" error loop (uninstalling updates doesn't fix it).
Does it seem likely to be an actual problem with the hardware?

Anyone had a problem updating to 651.167.26.en.EU??
I've tried to update (many times), the phone shuts down starts the install, gets about half way then reboots. When it does reboot I get a message saying the update failed. I've even done a factory reset (which I hated) but now joy. Grrrrr
Has anyone had this issue and have you manage to solve it??
Also does anyone know what location the phone saves the update to?
Perhaps you're lucky it failed because I am having the following problem after the update:
After updating wireless is stuck and won't either turn on or off.. in settingsmenu on the wlan activate button it just says "error" in the second line. on push it says "activating" for some time the drops back to error. So my question: Does anyone else have this an what can I do to correct this?
PS: Moto Support just says Factory reset but there is upfront no way I am doing this without having tried anything else..
You could always just root it and install a custom rom. My app will will root it in 1 click.

i have LG G4 h810 5.1 official then after i update it to marshmallow using auto updates and when i clicked on security option in settings then i get error "Unfortunately com.android.settings stopped working" i try factory reset many times but nothing happens i think that the latest update which i applied to my phone has an error inside it.
can someone help me ?
same issue here man, i had been browsing all over internet trying a lot of solutions, none of them worked i tried to root the phone, install a new firmware, i cant find the right firmware for it. is there somebody who can help us?
I'm stuck with the same issue... How to fix it...
Have you guys tried other firmware such as Lineage os or cyanogenmod?
I'm stuck with same issue... Can't install apps from unveriffied source.
I also have been on this issue of setting app crashing when I try enter "Apps" in settings and click on any app, for weeks trying to fix it, including factory reset 10 times, clearing cash and starting new account on my phone, after I noticed it on my seldom used LG G4. But now it looks like I finally fixed it a minute ago (my com.android.settings stopped crashing, at least for now.) I used free App Manager by AndroidDeveloperLB from Google Play Store. It has option... something like uninstalling updates (or rolling a selected app back to the original installation). I uninstalled the update, and app "Settings" stopped crashing. Now I am waiting to see if system will install this update again, and if it causes crashing again... then I will think what to do... If crashes again, then I guess I will have to do a research and block updates for this app somehow)
Am stuck with same problem too. Cant install apps or set a lock code for my LG G4 H810 from ATT running on Marshmallow

I just fixed this issue on mine, only thing I did was restore my system through twrp. I made backups of prettymuch everything while the phone was experiencing bootloop because I guess I stopped google play services with airfrozen. Seems to have that effect anyway... So before factory resetting, decided to do a backup of system and data and prettymuch all the essential things, then reset and got the problem popping up in a fresh reset phone. Strange that my original more hacked and unlocked rom seemed not to have it... I couldn't enable debugging so I had to resort to twrp to figure out what to do and took a gamble and restored the system. Wow, so shocked when it showed up normal again.
So only take away is that the problem is isolated in the system part not data. If it is something to do with google play store and maybe I rolled things back to a previous version, I have no clue. Wish I could say for sure. If you don't have twrp, get it and you'll be back up in no time in some form I'm sure..
Incorrect Date&Time in HTC Desire HD Boot Menu. (not letting install or use anything)
Hello,
I have come across a strange problem. I had to factory reset my phone. After doing that, I noticed I couldn't intall any new apps and couldn't even connect to Google Play Store. I didn't pay attention because at the time I just needed WhatsApp. Therefore, I download the WhatsApp APK and manually installed it.
After installation, WhatsApp informed me that it was unable to function due to the incorrect date and time settings on my phone. However, the date and time were correct. I then unticked the automatic update date and time setting and manually entered the [same and correct] date and time. Still WhatsApp gave me the same error.
I then tried the Market app (Google Play Store), it momentarily gave me an error about the date and time and then reverted to showing me "unable to connect to Google server" error message.
To further check the date and time issue, I used the device's browser to open some websites. (If any device's date and time are wrong, the website will display an out-of-date certificate/security warning.) That indeed happened for all the websites I opened.
In all these instances, the date and time were set correctly by me.
However, to confirm my suspicious about some underlying date and time issue, I entered the bootloader HBOOT menu by pressing the VOL-DOWN + POWER buttons. I did these multiple times. In all instances, the date and time on the menu are stuck to 7 September 2011, 19:06:24. (See attached image at tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2hhg8sh&s=9)
Could someone help me resolve this issue please.

LG G5 (RS988) - LG Stock - Receive Error "Process com.android.phone isn't responding"
Many have reported more trouble on LG's Android Nougat than on LG's Android Marshmallow for the LG G5 RS988.
I am trying to determine if a bug described in this post also manifests for others.
At present, I do not use a SIM with the LG G5 RS988 and use stock Android Nougat updated to the RS98821d revision.
I had noticed some time ago when booting the LG G5 (RS988) into the stock Nougat that I receive an error stating, "Process com.android.phone isn't responding". If one goes to Settings --> About phone --> Status OR Settings --> About phone --> Network, one may see a long delay before any information for section is displayed. The problem manifests both in the normal mode and Safe Mode. The error was not displayed when using stock Android Marshmallow.
I have applied the various LG updates for the device, but the problem persists. Clearing various caches does not resolve the problem. The problem appears to manifest regardless as to whether or not the "Show all ANRs" option from Developer options is used; however, when "Show all ANRs" is not enabled there may be a lag or delay before the device performs some actions while waiting before the "Process com.android.phone isn't responding" error message appears. For the error message to be displayed, the screen should not be allowed to go to sleep prior to the display of the error message. I do not know whether or not the presence of a SIM changes whether or not the problem manifests.
To attempt to reproduce the problem on the device, the following procedure is used on a device without a SIM installed:
Boot or reboot device into stock Android Nougat.
Wait or do something else until the error message appears; do not allow the screen to sleep in the meantime. (At this time, it may also be a good idea to go to Settings --> About phone --> Status OR Settings --> About phone --> Network)
I have attached files of pictures of examples of the error message and the Android software version.
Are others able to reproduce the problem?
If the problem can be reproduced under the manifesting conditions, I would like to know that as well.
I had the same error couple of days ago. I don't know what caused it but the data connection got disconnected on its own. After several failed attempts to turn it back on, I tried to restart the device. But it won't restart either. I was getting this 'process com.android.phone isn't responding' message in between. Suddenly the phone went blank showing me the following error 'Your device is corrupted and cannot be trusted and may not work properly'. The phone was consistently looping between the start-up screen and this 'error' screen. The weird thing was the phone started on its own after I pressed the power button. The same thing happened again today. So sad as this is a fantastic phone. I own a LG-860N model.
Troubleshoot on Factory Data Reset "Google Play services keeps stopping" rooted
To Everyone i really need help,
Its been a day since i factory data rest my device using twrp recovery. The main reason on why i did that is that my Play Store keeps crashing. Maybe because i flashed a kernel (init.d) that made it crash and not anymore usable. After the factory reset, its seems normal at first but when i reached the part where it is checking for updates after the finding of wifi, Google play services keeps crashing, this is the first login part just like for newly opened devices. After the chexking of updates my screen goes black with normal buttons and wifi icons on. I tried to reboot several times. I also backed up the system from their and restored it. I dont know if im still rooted that causes the malfunction. My other solution is that to download Gapps which is compatible to my device and flash it. Maybe i broke ky system? Please help me as soon as possible.
