My Device: Galaxy S6 EDGE
Android version: 5.1.1
baseband: G925IDVU2D0I2
I am using this device for last 6 months without any issue. But 2 Days ago, i made a factory reset on my device. After the reset i installed all my application which i used before . But after the reset i face 2 problems:
1. After using sometimes my device getting hotter & hotter
2. Battery drained so quickly
I dont know whats wrong with my device. But how can i overcome from this problems ? Please help me !!!!
you obviously have a stray app that is using up all the CPU, install something like clean master or another cpu monitoring tool to find out which one it is and then uninstall it

Install CPU-Z, and check the temperature of the battery and processor. Take a screenshot of the local temperature, and upload it.

I have been trawling the Web, this site first (obviously) in order to identify poor battery usage on my Galaxy S2 after a clean (Data/Partition/etc. wipe)

How do I precisely Identify the individual applications/programs/code which are using up my battery and are normally called:

Please do not ask me to install any applications as I have tried them all, and none can break down the 2 above into their individual components and tell me exactly what low level process within them is using my battery.

When you say 'BetterBatteryStats included', what do you mean by that? The kernel wakelock tab in BBS is exactly what breaks down your number 2 dotpoint, 'kernel'.

This is my 1st post here ever.
The only time I fiddled around with rooting an android phone was more than a year ago when I had an AT&T Samsung infuse. I followed very detailed instructions on how to root it and upgrade it. It worked like a charm and I'm so grateful to all of you experts trying to help newbies.
A friend of mine went to China last month and brought me a Samsung s3 clone.
The phone is factory unlocked BUT
1. It doesn't have the original google play application. It has a similar logo which leads to a Chinese app store.
2. Google mail account application is missing
3. The phone supports only Chinese, Korean and English languages. (I'd like to use it in different ones)
So I need to re-install a good Android version that has all the Android features that I'm missing
I thought it would be easy to find instructions on how to do it it here, but unfortunately I wasn't lucky to find a direct and clear step -by step instructions for my phone model

unfortunately I don't think anyone can help you rooting/changing roms as it's a replica and there isn't a real development for it.
BUT as for the play store you can DL the apk directly from here:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/05/14/download-latest-google-play-store-4-1-6/
As for the phone language, after installing the google play store look for:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale&hl=en
and choose the language of your wishing. That is in case that your phone supports it.
If you mean by google mail account the gmail app then in that case:

Thanx a lot for your effort and concern.
I downloaded the latest google play apk, I installed it, but it wasn't working apparently because "google login service" and "google services framework" were missing too!
So I downloaded them, but they needed to be installed in system/apps.
I downloaded "root explorer" which should help me accessing the system folder.
I copied&pasted the apps in system/apps but a message says "your phone should be rooted first in order to paste" came out.
So back to square1
On the other hand, I tried to disactivate some of the annoying Chinese applications that came with the system using "root app delete", and guess what?
I get the same message that I should root this phone first.
So how can I root this bloody thing???
Yeah that is sounds pretty frustraing..Well I guess you won't find here a "how to root s3 replica" guide and personally I wouldn't try and rooting the device as it could easily brick it.
I suggest you go to the store and tell them that you've got a phone with no option to download apps, or connect to your Google account...
Hope you'll sort things up with the store soon

I wish I could follow your advise. The shop is 4000 miles away in China.
There is a google store app installed, but it's fake. It has a similar icon but with different proportions. The problem is that it's in Chinese and it deals with chinese applications.
Oh that is unreachable, but maybe can you contact them via Email etc..?

If you flash recovery from different device, there's a big chance you brick it
Try to use MTKDroidTools to root it, its pretty safe.
As @lolet said correct, you can possibly brick your phone...
That's why I advise you to ask in the thread I've linked onto, there are fellows there with much more experience than myself with rooting your device.
I guess in the last couple of years I've flashed hundreds of times but only on samsung, htc and motorolas.

I have a goophone mtk 6575 (Iphone4s clone 32g) which runs android 5.1 and is havin some issues with it.
1. phone does not support play store
2. always show E(edge) but no 3g
3. Has just 256ram and always show ram sign.
4. Always show chinese language
5. Can not run apps like greenify and fushion music player (when trying to install through snapea it gives error message "need a higher system to run this app"
6. Heats up at times(bugs susspected)
please i will appreciate your help to fix these problems. Thanks in advance

Running Android 5.1?!?!?! Damn why didn't u tell me?
There's only GApps for 4.4.1, not 5.1
Edge isn't 3g (as I understand)
I don't think they support 5.1 (I think your phone's the only one running 5.1, gimme your /system folder, I wanna make a 5.1 ROM for my phone xP)
5.1 isn't optimized I think. (What's 5.1 called? Lollipop? Knew it.)

u re right bro...i sounded dunce with with d 5.1 . Thats what is speculated on d phone though. And by edge i mean i can only see edge on the network bar. Please is there some way i can fix this. Maybe installing another rom or vise versa. Tanks for the direction

Your issues are times be honest never going to be fixed. You can't change the ram. Google will not allow clone devices to be certified so no play store. Edge is the best your gonna get outside of China.
The Android version is not official and a hacked together Chinese knock off so no support.

I installed VN ROM 13.1 some 4 months ago.It was great a really great ROM.So , on August 22 2014 , I flashed the new update 14.1. The thing is that I am xda user since 3 years but I recently signed up here and its hard for me to post on certain forum , because of newbie status.
The thing I want to tell is that after updating to new version 14.1 my phone was heating up badly and my battery status dropped.The screen time is only 2 hours 30 minutes.But I guess it will improve.So as being a newbie user but not a status.
I have a question.That can I update to official samsung rom, because I guess I have different kernel , I don't know, the picture of my phone detail is as follows with my antutu benchmark status.Please tell me that with my this kernel can i update to samsung official firmware??
MY PHONE STATUS OF VN-ROM 14.1 is as follows. Since the phone is heating up badly and my battery is draining , I want another ROM , or I need an update from VN -ROM team itself. THANK YOU.

Last September,I bought a new phone called the Kult Beyond and it was a good phone for the Price.It's a little under $100 and myself being a student,couldn't really spend too much over that.Previously,I had an iPhone 3GS which I rescued from a recycling Center for $30 bucks,4 years ago.iOS 6.1.6 Jailbroken and was a lot of fun.But soon enough,I found it to be lacking in many aspects.So I bought this new phone,My first Android phone and I was OK with it for a while,But soon enough,I realized that it's very average and software optimization is kind of missing.3GB RAM and at idle,Only 900MB is free.Then I found it's all that System Bloatware which cannot be removed.I then learned that with ROOT,We can remove them! Also learned that Root can allow to mess with CPU/GPU Voltage and Clock settings which can help with battery life as well!
But I ran into another problem - Media*******Tek.I tried MONTHS of rooting the phone using various methods right from KingRoot.etc and NONE worked.I read that the newer MTK-equipped phones are very hard,near-impossible to root compared to Snapdragon due to many reasons such as the Mass fragmentation of MTK-Based devices.etc

Make sure you have unlocked bootloader before following the steps given in the above thread.
Since you have Mediatek device, you should use the custom boot img method given in the thread.

Custom Boot.img ? I couldnt find it anywhere there and also the process requires Stock Boot.img,Where and how do I find it ?

You will have to search the internet for it. Try androidmtk.com or firmwarefile.com
