I was actually able to root my device. If you're still interested I can help you. Are you running the latest Android? I accidentally soft-bricked mine so at the moment I am in need of someone's build.prop backup.

ask yourself a question, WHY should i root my XTZ...???
some of us want to root their devices but in reality they are not using the privilege of being rooted. it makes no sense.
rooting is safe provided you know how to backup and restore your firmware if anything goes wrong during/after the process.
and if you are rooted be careful with the app and files inside the /system. and be careful with the apps (for rooted devices that requires rooted devices) you'll installed.

I don't know if the issue appears on every method of rooting and every stock rom but it definitely appeared for me, stock US wifi version 32 GB
Here is the solution to solve the rebooting when remounting issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42914126&postcount=23
After I applied this fix, root access works perfectly for me, and I even used Vodoo OTA Rootkeeper and my root survived the upgrade!
Good luck!

By far i heard of: Mounting reboot, NFC bug, Unclock bootloader status...

I dont know why all these comments leave you on the road to ruin... Cause not once did I see any one ask what model you have or what your current version of android you are running on it.
I have the US version SGP312 32GB WiFi only version build 10.3.1.C.0.136... (Android version 4.2.2) rooted and working fine with no hiccups.
Keep in mind I did update it first from the box.
Here is the link if you need it:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428830
For the record, I can confirm that my NFC works just fine after root. Just beamed a few videos from my phone to the tablet without a even a hiccup.
(FYI the NFC chip is located right under the Xperia logo on the back)

Has anyone figured a way to root the Alcatel One Touch Pop Icon? I'm really in need of a solution for this, as my memory is running out very quick. It only comes with 2gb (Which is ridiculous). I would recommend trying Towelroot, you may have to change the mod strings to get it work on your device but it should work. Let me know if your still having any problems or have any questions.

This is a brand new phone offered by Tracfone. I would also like to be able to root mine, but haven't been able to find a way.
I just bought my LG Volt 2 a month ago, and I'm ready to make it MINE! Unfortunately, I think this phone is too new, because I can't find anything helpful on how to root it. I tried "kingroot" and after it did a few things, it said I was successfully rooted. BUT, when I started up "SuperSU" it says it has to download some things, and its never successful and informs me to restart my phone and to press the restart tab. When I press the restart tab, it says "attempting to restart phone" but it can't. I'm on the 5.1.1 operating system, and using an LG Volt 2 (LGLS751). Is there any advise out there that someone can offer me? Am I REALLY rooted? Has anyone successfully rooted this phone yet? If so please tell me where I can find the steps. I have faith that my XDA community will pull through. Thanks everyone!
Kingroot
not sure if you are still having issues but I use Kingroot for mine.
Yea didnt work for my lg volt 2 either

Considering this is an open community, why not just post your method for finding root here like everyone else does. Then we can verify your method through duplication. We can also test your methods using different firmware versions, different scenarios (such as from stock, from partially rooted by one-click methods, from bricked, etc.).
I myself just acquired an LS751. No battery, but that is an easy fix. No FRP, so that will not be an issue. I know the person who originally owned it anyways. This phone has great potential. Please share your method so we may all benefit. We will definitely give you the full credit if your method can be verified or refined to a validated method.
I know I am quiet guys, but I have been around for a very long time in these forums. I remember when I fumbled my way into getting a Motorola Atrix 2 ROM to work on an original Motorola Atrix. I wish now I had published my methods and dealings, for the collaboration of developers in these forums brings about the greatness we see in Dirty Unicorns (Which was the ROM I used, I believe it was AOKP at the time though), Paranoid Android, etc. My experimentation would have accelerated the development process.
Please do share your findings and let us all help in developing and refining methods.
Hello XDA-Forums!
Lately I've upgraded from Android 4.4.4 to Android 7.0 Nougat.
My old phone used to be rooted, which I was happy with.
Now I have a new Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) which is running on Android 7.0
Straight away I tried rooting my device like I did with my old phone, using KingoRoot for PC. But unfortunately, that didn't work. I
also tried using other 3rd party software such as KingRoot but no luck either.
I had a look on this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...nt/sm-g930-exynos-cf-auto-root-t3337353/page1
So I tried rooting my phone using CF Auto-Root, with Odin v3.10.6, but that didn't work at all and also caused my device to go into a boot-loop and made a message appear. The message was "Recovery is not Seandroid enforcing". So I had no choice but to flash to Stock firmware.
My question is, why can I not root my phone properly? Am I doing something wrong?
Hope someone knows the answer to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Old methods dont work with latest devices, especially with latest security features and bootloader restrictions.
You can still root it using this guide.
