[[help]] playstore problem on gts5282.Something that drive me crazy. - Samsung Galaxy Star

edit : solved

The answer is not all devices get regular updates from their OEMs so Google integrates their APIs through play services app and updates it regularly. Many apps use Google Api and Gcm for Push Notifications so they require Google services to be installed

[Q] s3 i9300 battery drain problem due to play services

Use app called disable services from play store.
And turn off Google services
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...
This would break google services right? So no more sync gmail and such?
No I m using it for a very long time and it doesn't affect any functionality for Gmail or play store.
Don't know about Google now.
If you use that just check after you disable a particular service.
Don't disable network location and fused location service they are needed for maps to work.

Disabling a critical service can have negative impact. I would recommend Greenify donation package for this since it only hibernates the service and it can start when needed. You will need xposed for Greenify's experimental feature to work

I don't know if this is related but I tried that app to disable services and disabled all the services in google play services.
Gmail and others didn't work, so I enabled them again just like it was before, but now I'm getting a "can't sync contacts" problem in the google account sync panel in preferences...
Seems only contacts is having problems when syncing. Everything else syncs perfectly.
What should I do?
I tried deleting my google account and then adding it again, but no luck.

[Q] Should Google Play services be greenified?

Google Play services start constantly, is greenifying safe? I don't use the app auto-update feature, but account syncing (contacts) is important. I won't remove the wake-up path yet.
I also greenified Google Play Store.
I was unable to make in-app purchases (I had to degreenify), so some issues appear.

Google location services / google play services

Hi guys,
i try to keep my phone free from google apps but due to requirements of some apps this is not 100% possible. some apps require at least google maps framework. one does not need to install gapps for that. instead you can just copy 2 files to your system (https://sdgsystems.com/blog/installing-google-maps-framework-aosp-android).
i was wondering, if there is a similar possibility to install google location services. again, this is a requirement of some apps like geohash droid. if there is none, i am willing to install google play services, but can anyone explain to me what this software/app does? does it connect to google / phone home / whatever? do i have to register an gmail account in order to activate it?
Thnx
aeryn

Is Google App store included in Google Framework?

The Google Services Framework system app on your Android device stores information and helps your phone sync with Google servers — and keeps your Google Play Services up and running.
Google Mobile Services (GMS) is a collection of Google applications and APIs that help support functionality across devices. Samples are Gmail, Chrome, Google+, Google Maps, and Youtube. -Google Play Services(Google Service Framework) is used to make sure that everything is running smoothly on your device

Cry out for help with GMS on Huawei

Hi All,
When I purchased my huawei p40 pro, I was digging in the forum and found some ways to install GMS. However the method I have used is not flawless, (I used this one) and I am starting to lose it. I wonder if there is any better option currenty which would solve the issues I am having :
- Can't run programs because of no Google security service e.g. Company programs, Mc Donalds
- Can't have push notifications of some programs like Discord, Gmail
- Can't have NFC feature for some programs e.g. Simple app.
- Can't add new google accounts to the device.
- Some other programs are just not starting properly, they close instantly or don't go further than loading screen.
Every help is appreciated.
Maybe you can try GSpace which is an APP container.

GMS ( read: Google Mobile Services ) is a basket of apps developed and copyrighted by Google. These apps require additional Google apps / services to get installed before to properly work, as these are: Google Account Manager, Google Servives Framework, Google Play Services, Google Play Store. The first three apps handle basic account services and add APIs, while the last app is the store itself.
