I got the new xperia C5 ultra which still hasn't received the lollipop 5.0.2
So I was eager to get as close to it as possible and ended up in a small problem.
What I did was install the launcher for xperia z3 running 5.0.2 as an update (thinking I can roll back"uninstall update"if there was a problem) and now it isn't working properly and I can't find a way to get the correct version back
Yes, I could factory reset the phone but I personally have tweaked it alot spending alot of time. I wouldn't want it to go for a waste
So please kindly help
Thanks in advance

My xperia X10a has slowed down tremendously and giving lots of trouble for the last few months and I wish to re-install the android 2.3.
I had rooted the phone myself after reading threads here. I have also read here that the stock version isn't really that good so I was thinking of re-installing the sony version.
1. Would Sony allow re-installing android on a rooted phone?
2. If Yes, would I have to root the phone again after installation to remove the Sony crapware? (That would be a max pain as it took hrs the first time to figure out and I didn't make any notes)
Yes and yes.

I have a Xperia Neo V - which is now spare and decided it would be good to use as a running phone - with a running tracker app on and music app.
However Android is really old on it (2.3.4). OTA updates say it is the most up to date version.
I've started to read into a lot of what I need to do and so far I have...
unlocked the bootloader - using the wire trick.
rooted the phone
I installed CWM from the playstore but from what I can tell it isn't the best way due to being on the system partition?
What I'm not sure about is how to actually upgrade the firmware. Most of the latest versions state that they need the partitions moving around to work. Also is it worth going for Lollipop or would it be better with kitkat?
I'm just after something that will be familiar compared to the other devices in the house and will be maybe a bit quicker and stable.
If anyone can give me a bit of a dummies guide to doing the next part it would be really appreciated.
Thanks
First off, let me apologize for asking. I have searched here to find out how, but I've found a few hints on how to do it for the GPE version of the Z Ultra. I was barely able to install CM12 on my Z Ultra out of curiosity. I found that it was nice to run the newest Android platform, but I found myself missing the tweaks that Sony has done (mini apps being one of them). I am now finding that I cannot root my phone anymore (going to CM12 seems to have broken that) which seems to be the first step into getting back to stock.
Any help would be much appreciated. It looks like I've got my work cut out for me as I need to get root and then also find a stock ROM. If anyone can help with this, I greatly appreciate it.
If you don't mind the internal memory (photos, songs etc.) you can download the latest flashtool and using it, download the firmware you would like to come back to, you don't have to root CM.
Regards
I don't mind everything getting removed at all--good as fresh.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Guys,
Please kindly help where you can,
I'm using an Xperia Z ultra (C6833) , since I have updated it from kit kat 4.4.4 to lollipop 5.1.1 in December 2015 the screen has been flickering so badly. I tried switching off the adaptive brightness option as read through other forums and xdaforum but nothing helps. I've sent multiple emails to Sony thinking they would assist but all I got was to be referred to an authorised Sony repair centre. The phone works fine fewer times but most times it gives me headaches with flickering.
I tried downgrading twice using flashtool and ftf stock rom file but it was soft bricked, it bootloops forever. I had to repair using Sony companion suite 2.1 to get it working again but the problem persists.
I have tried all possible ways to fix the problem but I
The question I have...
1. I want to downgrade to kit kat 4.4.4 from lollipop 5.1.1 without rooting or unlocking bootloader, is that possible?
Please kindly HELP,
Hi guys,
I upgraded my Sony LT25i to version 5.1.1 with CyanogenMod rom (cm-12.1-20150620-UNOFFICIAL-tsubasa), but since it randomly reboots and have other issues which i couldn't find solutions for (applications stops etc) I want to downgrade the version to how it was before. I took a backup of the phone before I started, but it seems like "Sony Bridge for Mac" application doesn't take a "full backup" (only images contacts and so on), so now I don't know how I can go back to Android version 4.3, cant even find original rom for my phone..
Where can I find the correct version for my Sony LT25i tsubasa? And how can I reinstall everything to stable version 4.3.?
As you might guess, I have no super skills on this, so I can honestly say that I am a noob. Please be kind =)
Big thanks in advance.
