It works on latest ironrom

Probably only works on ROMs that support the fingerprint reader.

I think that app only works on Touchwiz roms. I use it on my Tab S and S6, both on Touchwiz.
2 features of this app (may require pro version?):
Long touch can do one of the following: camera, screen-off, Google Now, or home screen
When lock screen shown (before you input password/pattern/swipe to unlock), touch home button to turn off screen. Useful when you turn on screen to look at time only and want to turn off screen without pressing power button (reduce button use?) or letting screen timeout (save battery?)
The developer also has an app to double-knock/tap to turn screen on-or-off. I use it to turn-off the screen with a double-tap. Using it to turn-on screen consumes battery.

no lock (AOD) and nexus one flashlight?

Does anybody use these applications?
I ordered MT4 and I plan to install these:
no lock can wake up the phone by pressing ANY hard button
nexus one flashlight can use the phone's light.

the phone comes stock with htc's flashlight that give you 3 modes of brightness, blinking and sos... also you can change the buttons in the key layout to wake without an app theres more on that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836702
he is correct and i was using no lock but be very careful because the genius button can place calls on its own if you have no lock enabled that gets kinda funny when you "butt dial" friends lol and i find the stock HTC flashlight app to work flawlessly already so no need for 3rd party apps.

Fingerprint scanner to work with the screen off ???

Why on earth would you want that ?
And if it's possible, I guess it will drain your battery faster...

As said, if it would be possible...the battery will drain a lot faster as the screen will always be active/the system will perform wakelocks all the time.
But it's a good idea

That's what was generally said about double tap to wake, yet the phones that have this implemented, don't have drastically increased battery consumption because of it.
On the other hand, Samsungs half second delay after pressing home button, to wake after deep sleep (formerly just a "feature" of exynos devices, now with snapdragons as well) , is extremely annoying.
Don't see how would the screen always be active? Rather, the fingerprint sensor would be.

That's what I was thinking if iphones are doing it without any problem and lg is using their knock why can't samsung
I don't believe battery drain would be an issue, but how would you keep the phone in a state to be read?
With double tap to wake and swipe to wake surely the waiting for action state is already developed.
Other possibility could be pressing the home button and sweeping the fi gerprint scanner at the same time to unlock in one motion.

if the screen is off the fingerprint won't unlock and turn the screen off at the moment...... you have to press the home key wait for screen to turn on then swipe

I know. I talk about press (so the screen turns on) AND sweeping the finger at the same time.. This is working for me. I have to do a longer sweepe though.. And i have used all 3 finger setting to the same finger, probably a bit different portion of the finger every time..
Try it.. It works for me. Always unlock with one sweeping and pressing at the same time..
The disadvantage, i can unlock only with one finger.
The problem for me is that i have the home button to wake switched off using wanam exposed module. The phone was active in pocket way too many times.

[MOD][XPOSED][4.1+] Sequence Unlock V1.6 [18/2/2015]

Introduction:
Sequence unlock is an Xposed module which allows you to unlock your phone with a sequence of volume keys (Example: U U D ).
With this module you can unlock your phone in a simple and nifty way and avoid using the default android lockscreen altogether.
You will need to set up a sequence of your choice in the module settings. The default sequence is: U U U
Features include:
Unlock device even when the screen is off.
Disable default wake buttons (Power button, home button etc.)
Bypass the android screenlock
Compatibilty:

Tested devices:
Sony Xperia 4.2
Samsung Galaxy S3 4.4 (CM11)
BUGS:

Download:
Note: I had to change the package name to differentiate the module from it's PRO version. Sorry for the inconvenience.
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mb14.sequenceunlock.lite
PRO version:
You can buy the PRO version available on Google Playstore to support development (Being a college kid, I don't earn much).

You can unlock the phone even if music is playing in the background. But the keys pressed will affect the volume of your music app.
So it isn't compatible with Lollipop yet? Is it?

not working on Xperia Z stock 4.4.4
Bn 292. Only turns screen on, no unlock. Also not compatible with "physical button music control" module (sequence module only works with that module disabled)

Almost every phone has the physical button music control, poweramp integrated that aww man.
Did you try it? He's talking about the xposed module "physical button music control". So chances are it works with music players that use these controls.

I've fixed the lockscreen unlocking bug in version 1.4. As for the incompatibility with the Physical button music control module, I'll try fixing the bug and release an update as soon as possible.
Working like a charm with MT6572 phone :good:. Every function is working great (including unlock from deep sleep)! This is some cheap non-branded china phone with Android 4.2 just for you to know.
Edit: It is also working with Galaxy Gio (s5660) on CM11 (Android 4.4.4). (Including unlock from deep sleep).

Awesome I'll test it and report any found bugs. Physical button music ctrl Module doesnt have mapping over single volume button click, yet it somehow breaks functionality as it follows - when phone is in dock - volume buttons act as Wake trigger (only when docked - native behaviour) but with that module nothing happens on vol but. press. And while Phys. but. M Ctrl was activated, Sequence Unlock wasn't functional. If you need any logs or feedback let me know.

thanks man am waiting u :good:
Update on 1.4.
With bypass option, module now unlocks the screen - Xperia Z stock rom A 4.4.4 bn 292 Odexed.
Yet it only unlocks if the screen is ON - courtesy of PBMC module. I also tried playing with the settings and mappings of PBMC but no success. The issue lies in the Capture Mode - If Screen off + Lockscreen selected, - then Sequence module will not work at all. If Screen Off only, then Sequence U. will work with screen ON + lockscreen. So issue is in PBMC and its button capture mode (even if no custom option is set for volume up/down click)
would be great if you will add features such as, long press for flashlight or camera, sequence for open specific apps...
other than that, great module, keep it coming..
working great on note 2..rom dn4 :good::good:
edit : its only working right after i lock the phone...not working after phone deep sleep..
I like the idea. Will be waiting for Lollipop support.

[APP][7.0+]Fingertouch - turn your fingerprint sensor into capacitive HOME button

Hi guys, originally I developed this app for Samsung Galaxy S7, however it may work also on A5 and A7 (Android 7.0+ is required) as both have the home button with integrated fingerprint sensor. I can't guarantee it will work, but if anyone is interested, give it a try and post your results
It turns the fingerprint sensor on Galaxy phones into a capacitive Home button - so you don't need to press the button physically, just touch it like a sensoric button.
Original topic is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/fingertouch-apk-fingerprint-sensor-t3596588
And you can download the app on PLAY STORE or in the above topic.
So it works perfectly on the A5 2016 with the Nougat update.
But is it possible that you can add that you can turn the phone on? So when the screen is off it goes to the lockscreen.
Unfortunately that's not possible with app because fingerprint sensor is deactivated when screen is off, it's a system limitation.
Hello @ranwej. Loved the app, been using it ever since I got my S7 but now that I've updated my OS to Oreo, there seems to be a problem when unlocking the phone with fingerprint. Instead of just touching the home button, you have to swipe up to unlock the phone now. I have tried turning off the Fingertouch app and unlocking it has no issues. Please fix, I would like to always keep this app on.

Power off screen with fingerprint sensor without triggering pin-unlock to wake?

I set up Fingerprint Quick Actions app on my old Axon 7 so that when I pressed the fingerprint reader, it shut off the screen. Now, when I try to set up the same system on the S9+, I can set the screen to turn off, but when using the fingerprint reader to wake the phone up afterwards, I am forced to do a pin-unlock instead of biometric.
Does anyone know a fix or is this not something that can be done anymore in Oreo?
Same problem here...all third party lock screen app is not supported in this sense.

it wont work as said by OP, both widget type and double tap screen lock/off will make fingerprint unusable since it will ask for a pin. really wanted this too, hope we can find a solution.

Actually, Nova DOES work, because it doesn't actually lock the screen. It resets the screen timeout to a very short value, turns the screen off, and then resets both after the device locks on it's own (or you take some action). I use it all the time, but it only works from a Nova home screen, not from anywhere else.

For a similar outcome I am using the 'screenoff' app and it's working for me (Snapdragon SM-G965U1 running Pie)
Because I haven't done enough posts I can't post the link but search for github and jsalatas and ScreenOff and you'll find it
Powers off screen with app button instead of fingerprint sensor and then allows fingerprint opening.
