How do you root a Tracfone? They are locked down tighter than garbage in a trash compactor.
I have the Lg Power as well. It has been stuck on the LG emblem. I need the stock firmware to flash back. Someone please help. 5.0.1 L22CV10a.1421747164, sdk 21 --MSM8916 Linux 3.10.49-gfa9ace2-00001-gbce8a10 Device y50c I am new to this but i had rooted the phone, had custom recovery installed. Didnt know that it replaced the recovery file and did a hard reset. But i can easily explain how to root and replace kingroot with superuser. I just need help locating the factory firmware. Have looked and cant find anything on this phone. Thx

I just used xda RootJunky's Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool (April 6, 2016 version), JUST AS IT IS, to root my Tracfone LG L22C Power. With only a couple of mouse clicks.

The SuperTool batch file script rooted the phone with KingRoot and then uninstalled KingRoot and installed SuperSu.
I have since installed ES File Manager, Titanium Backup, Link2sd on the phone. Root is totally working. Rooted with only a couple of clicks!
Just enable Developer options on LG L22C (by tapping phone Build Number 7 to 10 times [Settings, About Phone, Software info, Build Number (tap 7 to 10 times)]), enable USB debugging on L22C in the Developer options settings.
Connect L22C to Windows 10 with a USB data cable (I used the USB 2.0 port). When screen message on the L22C mentions MTP mode, tap that and change to PTP mode on the phone.
Install RootJunky's SuperTool to the Windows 10 desktop.
Run RootJunky's SuperTool (Amazon-Fire-5th-gen.bat) You may have to read the instructions on the pages below and install adb drivers. Pick option #6 Root. Choose Option #3: version 5.1.2.
Press enter and KingRoot will be installed on the phone from the SuperTool. (approve any messages that appear on phone screen) Now don't touch the PC SuperTool until the phone is rooted.
Open KingRoot on the phone and run it. You may have to run KingRoot several times and the phone may reboot. Just keep running KingRoot until the LG L22C is rooted. After KingRoot reaches 100%, then press ENTER on the PC.
The SuperTool will now uninstall KingRoot and install SuperSU on the phone.
Choose NORMAL SuperSU install on the phone when prompted. When SuperSU is installed, reboot the phone. Disconnect data cable.
After reboot the LG L22C Power is rooted. There will be a request by SuperSU to upgrade. Approve it. You can now install Titanium Backup, Link2sd, ES File Manager, etc. Your phone is rooted. As easy as that. THANKS ROOTJUNKY!!!

I've even tried the built in option on the kindle to factory reset just to try but after rebooting SuperSU app is still there.
At this point all im trying to do is get it back to how it was out of the box.
I have the android SDK installed and im completely clueless on ADB, when I open CMD its at C:\users\my name\desktop> and if i try any of the fastboot commands nothing works.

Hey guys. i have successfully rooted my brothers Sony Xperia E4 (E2105), running latest firmware 24.0.A.5.14.
Only KingRoot PC version can root this device for now.
Requirements:
Any Windows OS (Minimum Windows XP)
KingRoot for PC
Disabled driver signature check (Windows 8/10 ONLY)
ADB driver installed (Universal)
Before you start, please do the following:
Windows 8/10 ONLY!: Reboot your computer with disabled driver signature check. TUTORIAL
Disable Antivirus + Firewall. If you are using Comodo, please uninstall it. It still block some programs even it is disabled.
Close all running Android emulators
Disconnect your phone devices
On your device, open Google Settings from app drawer, -> Security -> and disable "Scan device for security threads"
Let's start rooting your device:
On your device, go to Settings > About phone and look at the "Build number".
Tap on the "Build number" many times until it says "You are now a developer!" FULL EXPLANATION HERE
Go back to settings, scroll down, and go to "Developer options"
Enable "USB-debugging"
On your PC, download ADB driver (Universal): DOWNLOAD LINK
Connect your device to your PC
On your device, allow debugging/fingerprint (if asked)
Download KingRoot for Windows, and install it DOWNLOAD LINK
Open Kingroot, and let it check your device model
If the KingRoot tells you that there is no internet connection (WiFi icon error), please do the following:
1. Close KingRoot
2. Open Task Manager
3. End process of adb.exe and kingroot.exe
If Kingroot tells you that your device is not rootable:
* You have not disabled driver signature check.
* Other devices are connected to your PC
* Emulators are running in the background
Now start rooting
Notes: your device will reboot 3 times during rooting. Why?
1. If the first exploit failed to root your phone and reboot, the message "your phone is not vulnerable" will appear, and Kingroot will try second exploit
2. If the second exploit failed to root your phone and reboot, Kingroot will try third exploit.
3. If the third exploit failed to root your phone and reboot, Kingroot will try fourth exploit.
Kingroot should be able to root your phone during fourth root exploit.
If Kingroot failed to root your phone, DO NOT PANIC!
Close Kingroot, open Task manager and make sure adb.exe and kingroot.exe are closed
Open Kingroot and re-root again
Kingroot will tell you that your phone is successfully rooted

Hello sorry if posted in wrong section. First off i have minimal knowlage about Rooting other than using Framroot on my old phone which has never had any problems. So like an idiot i didnt make a backup before messing with my tablet. I have a Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50F (Stock recovery says A8-50_S000037_151023_ROW) that I rooted using Kingroot. That worked fine after rebooting but then i used Supersu Me to install Super su and that also installed fine but after updating the binirary using normal and rebooting its now in a bootloop i guess. When i first restarted it it booted up but then got stuck so i ended up doing a clear cache and factory reset but now it goes to the factory reset only to get stuck at the same spot during the install. I have been trying to find info about bootloops but none of it is helping me since i only know so much and have no backup to try to install. I managed to get into stock recovery where it says install from adb,sd,and cache + got into Fastboot to try to install TWRP that i got from a root pack for the tablet but i am doing it wrong or its not working? So pretty much i have no backup,no custom recovery and not sure what to do or if theres any way to fix this? Also i looked for the stock image or rom i guess you call it but cant find anything for my model. Oh and i did the root integrity check in my recovey options and it comes up with a System check fail..Error found 24 new files and 3 modified files...if that helps any. It would be great to get it working agian no matter if its stock or a custom rom or whatever. If anyone can help me with this or direct me to where i can find what i need i would be very greatfull. I know this is a long post but im just trying to get you all the info i can. Thanks very much for your time.
I used KingRoot (ver 4.8.2) to root my Lenovo Tab2 A8-50F Tablet.
I used KingRoot as part of a SuperTool. The SuperTool, using a batchfile script, also removed KingRoot after the tablet was rooted and then installed SuperSU.
The SuperTool (April 6, 2016 version) was created by xda's RootJunky for the Amazon Fire 7 5th gen tablet, using KingRoot and SuperSU, but it rooted my Lenovo Tab2 A8-50F Tablet, uninstalled KingRoot and installed SuperSU, all with only a couple of mouse clicks.
Even if you are already rooted with KingRoot, you can use this tool to uninstall KingRoot and install SuperSU. (Just run the tool, let it re-install KingRoot, don't run KingRoot but hit Enter on the SuperTool to then uninstall KingRoot and install SuperSU).

To Access Recovery, Power Off The Phone And Hold VOL DOWN And Power, Once You See The LG Logo Let Go And immediately hold both of the buttons again until you see a screen which says "Do you want to factory reset" You want to do yes and then it will say do you want to start and do yes again and this will take you straight to TWRP recovery (Note that this will not actually reset the phone)

You Can Debloat With In The Kingroot App Which I Would Not Recommend Because When You Remove System Apps In Kingroot It Takes Them To The Recycle Bin And When I Try To Empty Them From The Recycle Bin It Fails. But It Does Remove Them But They Are Still Taking Space On Your Phone, But You Can Restore Those Apps If You Want. Here Are The Instructions To Complety Remove System Apps From Your Phone
Enable USB Debugging In Developer Options

After flashing TWRP it asks to reboot into recovery, I hit yes, then it just sits on the LG LIFE IS GOOD POWERED BY ANDROID black startup screen.

I have found a way to root the Samsung Galaxy J1 (SM-J100VPP, Verizon) without needing to flash modified, rooted firmware using ODIN. I do not know if this unlocks the bootloader. Maybe someone can reply with an answer.
1. Make sure ADB/USB debugging is turned on. Settings > about phone > tap on 'build number' seven times to enable developer options.
2. Tap back button once and tap developer options. Make sure the box next to 'USB Debugging' has a check mark.
3. Plug your phone into your PC and open up an ADB window.
4. Download and install the Hidden Menus APK attached to this post, located at the bottom of the thread. (If using ADB to install, place the APK in your ADB folder and open an ADB command window and type: adb install HiddenMenus.apk)
5. Open the Hidden Menus app and scroll until you see 'Rlz Debug UI' and tap on it.
6. Where it says 'OEM Mode', make sure 'on' is selected (tap the circle next to OEM Mode to turn it on).
7. Go to my Google Drive, download and install 'android_root.exe'. This will install an older version of KingoRoot onto your PC.
8. Open KingoRoot for PC and connect your phone to the PC.
9. At the very bottom, left corner of the KingoRoot for PC window, make sure to UNCHECK the box that says 'install recommended app'.
10. Click on root and let KingoRoot root your phone.
Replace KingoRoot with SuperSU
I don't like one-click-root apps. I don't trust them. So whenever possible, I try to find methods to install SuperSU. Below is a guide to replace KingoRoot with SuperSU. The method in this thread works and only consists of a few steps. First you'll need to go to the KingoRoot homepage and download the APK for Android and install it. Then follow the steps below:
1. Delete/Uninstall Kingouser, but keep Kingoroot. DON'T reboot your device
3. Install SuperSU apk from flashable zip v2.79 (APK provided by me, attached at the bottom of this thread).
4. Launch it, press "continue" and "normal" wait until the update is successful. (You might have to close the SuperSU app and reopen it to complete this step).
5. Reboot and uninstall Kingoroot.

ok, so all that has happened here IS. you happened to have a samsung galaxy j1 sm-j100vpp verizon prepaid phone that happened to NEVER be updated to the unpatchable 5.1.1 and you rooted the existing firmware that we all have to downgrade to, to be able to root. And to answer your question about the boot loader.... NO, flashing or MODIFYING the firmware has nothing to do with the boot partition.
BUT. the super su replacement has caught my eye and is how i found this post. I will check the work and report back. this would be a huge step forward in creating a 32 bit custom twrp as the chipset in this phone only supports 32 bit and is why twrp (cwm similar etc....) does not work on this device. i have noticed another samsung device that has "alot" of the same chipsets but still supports 64 bit and has a promising twrp I may be able to compile as a 32 bit only recovery img. after that. its smooth sailing.
