My phone and power button are currently red and green....with the middle 3 buttons white.
I've seen pics / videos online where all 5 buttons are either white or blue. How can I do this? Is there a guide anywhere or a thread on this?
I've searched but I'm unable to find it.

The T-Mobile version is different it has the call and end key in a different colour and is taller not sure about any internal differences.

I bought my black Dell Streak on Nov. 26th from Bestbuy. I love my streak. It's fantastic. I love the huge screen. I love Steve's 1.6 Froyo installed on it.
I am however wondering if I should exchange my black streak for the white streak. I originally wanted a white streak. But while purchasing my streak...I changed my mind at the last minute and got the black one. Because of Bestbuy's extended holiday return policy, I have until Jan. 31st to exchange or return my streak.
What do you guys think? For those who have the white streak, has it been a big hassle hacking your streak? I've seen the posts in the forum but really haven't payed that much attention since I have a black one.

I sold my black streak and got a white one. Glad I did. The white streak looks much nicer. Not hard to use QDL tool and upgrade to stock 2.2 and from there, easy to install Steve's Rom.
I actually just did the opposite. After killing my white Streak trying over and over again to update it. I returned to Best Buy and got the black one.
White is less hack friendly, initially.
Really tho they are the same ****. Owning a white one doesn't make you better.

I do believe that they are basically the same. If I already had a Streak that was updated and working as it should I would be very reluctant to take it back and start over again. Some of us aren't able to get them updated.
Had a white one at first, and bricked it with qdl. Took it back and got a black one. Was cake to use qdl t po get to 2.2.

I have had both I am currently running the White Streak with the unlocked 318 rom.. I can tell you it initially was the same as my black one and I had very little trouble updating to the 318 rom. I think the white one looks pretty bad ass, even in the otter box case the white logo looks cool

I just used QDL tool on a friends streak to get him to 2.2. It took some time but now I fell like I would be able to do it to the white one as well. Did you notice any differences between the white and black using QDL?

I had no, issues what so ever doing the upgrade on my white streak. I don't know why people are saying there is a problem with the white ones?? If you follow the directions on QDL Tool to the letter you should have no problems...
I sat at Best Buy and looked at both. The White is too "pretty" for me to use. I liked the sleek look of the all black, so I went with that.
My wife loved the look of the white, and she probably would have gone in that direction. But for me, I like the under the radar, sleek, ninja black Streak.
Besides, it matches my home PC, which is housed in a Lian-Li black case as well.

That's funny. I wanted white and my wife made me feel like it was too girly. But I still want the white one.
Aaaggghhh...decisions decisions.
I just had to take my black streak in to BB because of a battery issue. They just gave me a new replacement streak. They had 8 black ones and 1 white. He asked which one I wanted so I chose the white for no other reason then I hadn't seen one before. The white portion is a pearl look and is very slick to the touch. My black one had a slight grain to the back.

That's it! Going to Bestbuy today to exchange for a white streak. I'm just going to be straight up and tell them I want a white one.
I have a nandroid backup on my black one. Can I go straight from at&t 1.6 to my custom configuration on the new white streak?
Booyah! I did it. Went to Bestbuy this afternoon and exchanged my black streak for a new shiny white one. Here's how it went down.
I had intended to go in and just say..."Hey, I've got 6 more days left before my time runs out to return my phone, I'd like a new white one please!" But I chickened out. I told the associate that my streak would lock up after ending phone calls, often causing me to have to restart it.(This exact thing happened to my sister who bought a red unlocked streak from Dell).
Since I bought it Nov. 26th, he was adamant at first about the 30 day return policy, told me the January 31 deadline didn't apply to phones, just mobile accessories. At that point I was like, I guess I'll have to play along while I prove him wrong. He powered up the streak, and it was running Steve's 1.5.1. He mentioned he liked the way the settings were at the bottom(keep in mind at&t 1.6 is not setup this way). He asked if it had been updated and I told him I was running adw launcher, which I was.
He then asked for my sim card so we could try and replicate the problem. He tries a call, no problem. Tries again and still no problem. I made a comment about the problem not showing now that I've brought it in.
Just then a manager walked by and he double checked about the holiday return policy. And the manager confirmed what I originally thought. So he happily switched out the unit for me. It was then that I asked if they had any white streaks in stock, which they did.
He even let me keep my current sd card from my black streak which I thought was nice. It did after all have 4 nandroid backups on it.
So I was all set to go and was about to leave when he asked me to show him where to get the adw launcher from the market. Which I gladly did. He was running Touchwiz on his Samsung Captivate which is probably one of the worst skins available.
So there you go! Got a new white streak, the associate ditched his ****ty manufacturer skin. And we all went home happy.
When I got home I hooked my phone up to my iMac which dual boots into Windows xp and quickly rad the QDL tool. I already had the drivers loaded from a week ago when I upgraded a friend's streak to 2.2. After about 10 minutes I was running the 318 firmware with Fard's custom kernel.
I like the fact that the stock 2.2 allows you to add Facebook as an account. I wasn't able to do this running Steve's Froyo.
I love my white streak! I'm kinda sad that I have to put a case on it because it's so darn good looking.
When I returned my first white streak (running stock donut but was super laggy), the bb guy gave me a new one and for some reason gave me $4 back! Lol
Anyhow the white does look nice but take care of it bc chips and scratches are more notable on the gloss.
I seen them and I honestly say the red streak looks the best. Its eye catching and its gorgeous looking. I say buy the unlocked red one from dell and by a case for it. I bought a clear rubberish case online for 4 bucks. You can't beat that price. P.S. Red does mean you are better than everyone else. I'm Just Playing. Color is a preference and the white and the black are ok. I just wanted to get out of that iphone created color scheme.
I orgnally bought the white. Went to get the white infact. Ive owned white iphone and bought the kit to change my iphone 4 to white. I like the way the white looks. The black looks cheaper. But I had a problem with it killing batteries so when dell replaced it I got the red it is nice. Dont see many red phones like this. I like both the white and red but the red better.

White is beautiful,I purchased one at Best Buy for $546,later the same day I found a way better price $433 for a black one on dell.com,so I sadly decided to return it and buy the one from Dell.
I also have a white iPhone 3GS,I love white phones.they are not girly at all.

Yep, I agree. White is awesome! I love the pearl finish. Very glad I exchanged the black for the white one.
On a side note, I'm also a previous white iPhone 3gs user. Love the white.

i wanted to know if there's a fix for the white balance issue when using the flast on the sgs2, as many users pointed out the photos tend to have a bluish / greeinish tint, i would say on the skin especially...
we know that the issue comes from the fact that the led produces a bluish/greenish tint in fact since that's the very "characteristic" of the LED, but it should be fixed via software, in fact some other guys suggested to take pics with flash, then go via software and change the color temperature, which indeed will work however is one more step to do.
if i do not use the flash photos look actually quite good for being a phone!
any brillian minds on this?

Any details on this would be good. Is it going to be similar to g nexus notification led which has to be the best, you can choise different colours etc?
Says RGB LED notification which suggests to me it can produce almost any colour.
That's brilliant, its a small feature but essential inmho. Not much info about this feature so thanks for sharing this.
I have found it kinda surprising that no on has touched on the led notifacations in reviews yet. The question in my mind isn't just is it an umlimited color palatte but also does it work before you pickup the handset? On the N1 you could see across the room that you had an email, text, etc. and this is what I'm hoping for with this phone. It has little point if you have to pick up the phone to light the led.

I didn't know some phones worked like that? I mean that you have to pick the phone up in order for the LED to light up... Which phones work like that? That sounds like a really dumb thing for a phone to do! The point of a notification LED is after all that you should be able to see the notifications without having to pick the phone up to check it, no?
I'm hoping it's like the Blackberrys. I miss BerryBuzz, had the option to set multiple colours to multiple events.
If its anything like nexus galaxy I will happy. Mind you had to root device only then was able to use the different colours.

Hi All,
Been loving my hox for some time. It's an international gray, and just solid and perfect... I'd like to get a Plus - but so far the only one I've held had two issues:
- If I pressed on the screen on the corners even a little it would show shadowing add if the glass screen touched the screen... My hox doesn't do that..
- didn't like the black coating as it was prone to fingerprints...
Is there a grey hox+ with LTE? Maybe elsewhere in the world than the US?

No there is no grey color.....the international comes in two colors black(sexy) and white.....if I am not wrong AT&T US model doesn't have white....
