Hello Everyone,
My name is Riyaz Ahamed and I am from India.
I am a passionate android developer and designer. I am right now looking for freelance jobs for designing android apps. Or I can help you with some tips on designing as well. (yes, that's free of cost)
My portfolio? Okay, here is my recent app which I have published in playstore. (If you are a cricket sports fan, then you will DEFINITELY love this app). URL is CricNights - Free Live Cricket Score App If you love the app you can share it with your friends. Only if you love the app..
If you like my work, lets discuss if your app needs more polish.
Thanks.

Over at my job in Woods Hole, there is a project going on called "The Encyclopedia of Life" found at http://www.eol.org/ It is a massive taxonomic database of all the worlds known species. It is growing by leaps and bounds as new species are added. I guess you could call it a "Wikipedia of all living things" only with links for species, families, and other data for each entry. It is apparently intended for biodiversity professionals, and scientists, but they want to make it accessible to the average person as well. My question to them was did they have a mobile app? Their answer was that they had a "less than satisfactory" iPhone app, and nothing else. My question to the software developing community is this: Would anybody out there be willing to develop a "Portal" type app for the Windows Mobile and Android platforms that would enable a user to look up species entries on this site from their mobile device? they have an API here: http://www.eol.org/api and some more info on the way the entire site is set up here: http://www.eol.org/content/page/help_build_eol Sound like a project anyone might be interested in?
Intro Animation
Here is a prototype intro animation I came up with for use in the app. You would see this when the program was launched, for example
Hi everyone,
First off sorry if this thread is out of place, please feel free to move it if necessary.
I am a graphic designer with many years of experience and a huge interest in designing apps for android. With my limited programming knowledge I can't go about making my own apps but I have gotten into themeing, for htc sense mostly, as a gateway to get into designing for the smartphone screens.
If you are an app developer looking for a designer for your app please feel free to contact me through pm. I would put my email address but im afraid of teh spamz...
If you need any other type of design work you can contact me for that too!
There are so many News app for the Android OS, and the All have that one feature that makes it stand out from the rest. I'm curious to know what News app the users of XDA community enjoy using the most.
there are some famous example:
News 360: it is amazing this app is free and has no subscription cost. A flexible and smart personalization system, so that you can tailor your news however you want, by choosing the topics, sources, companies and people you want to follow
Zaker:Concise language is concise and it has offline capabilities so you can catch the news offline. You can share news with your friends through wechat, weibo, facebook etc.
Hotoday: it is also free. The interface is cool and beautiful. Aslo it has personalization system. Especially, professional workers will pull the hottest news to you by themselves. So it gets a very high score among the users.
Post what your favorite News app is, and what feature makes you use it over any other News app.
Thanks for joining in the discussion!
in my opinion, the three above are excellent representative, what's your opinion?
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and I hope I'm posting in the right thread. Nowadays, many app developers are marketing their apps using incentivized ad model where users are rewarded (with cash, mobile data etc.) in exchange for installing and engaging with an app for example.
I would like to ask if any fellow members here knows what's the typical app marketing budget (per campaign) for the following category of app developers below:
- Indie developer
- Medium sized developer
- Major developer
My current research shows that the figure rarely goes above $30,000 even for major developers and will be significantly less for mid-size and indie developers.
Thanks in advance to anyone with experience who can advise.
Veronica
