Wiko Sunset: option and home button keep randomly activating. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have a wiko sunset for about 6 months, and couple a weeks ago it fell into the toilet (yes, i know)
I dried it succesfully without damaging it any further, and the phone kept working just fine.
But yesterday, it suddenly kept going to home menu and the options bar kept showing up, without me pressing it
i tried turning it on and off, factory reset it, soft resetting it, hard resetting it, software update etc..
Nothing works does anybody have an idea how to fix this?
Here is a youtube video of it..

[Q] End key stopped working after hard reset

So by accident I launched a CHT file from my SD Card which essentially crashed sense. No biggie, did a hard reset and thought I would be okay.
Wrong.
When I hold down the end key (to either load johcos' end key or even if i uninstall it) my screen is dead. The hard keys work, but not the screen.
Anyone have a suggestion? I have been using tmo-us stock rom without problems until yesterday when this started. I realize I could flash a new rom and maybe it is time...but tis very annoying this is happening after a hard reset.
Thanks.
still not working after flashing energy rom
argh.
flashed energy.
same problem.
now have to work...but any suggestions? my long hard key is dead and freezes my phone. hard reset/ new rom did nothing.
thanks.
same with android
so now anytime my phone goes to lock screen the screen stops functioning though the hardkeys work just fine.
thought i would try android and be savvy...but wrong.
same problem.
any ideas? i am ready to take a hammer to this damn thing...
This recently happened to my GF's phone, She said she was just playing a game one day, it froze so she popped the battery out and rebooted. Now every time she uses the End/Power ( red ) hard button to shutoff or wake up the device, the screen stays locked and won't respond.
I have tried soft reset, hard reset, different lock screens and what not. The only solution I found, besides sending it in, is to let the screen shut off by itself, and then wake it up with the Call/Send ( green ) hard button.
You can also try using the End/Power hard button to lock it, but then as long as you wake it with the Call/Send hard button it should be fine.
It has worked every time now. Try it and see if it helps! It's a little annoying but it saves money and insurance!
Going to repost this in all those previous listed threads to see if it helps anyone else.
Good Luck!

Freezing and Force closes

I'd just commented on how I love this phone because of how fast and smooth it is. An hour or so later, I pull my phone out to take a picture and it locks up completely, the Camera FC after about 5 minutes but then it lagged like made and literally made the phone unusable.
Holding power button did nothing, button wouldn't react but if they did it took a few minutes to register the press but then did nothing anyway.
Obviously, with not being able to remove the battery, this made things difficult to reset the phone. In the end I found that holding Up on the volume button and the power button did a reset.
The phone rebooted and seemed ok but then a few seconds later it did the same thing. Even on Home screen, scrolling along froze the phone then Xperia Activity FC'd. Some of my picutres appeared corrupt so I deleted them assuming it was those causing the issue, but I'm still getting the same problem.
Last night I restarted the phone and put it on charge and it seems fine this morning.
Out of desperation, I downloaded AVG to scan the phone. I also downloaded ATK and killed anything that didn't have a use to see if that helped the phone but it did it after that too.
Anyone else had this? It started to P me off last night. The phone nearly went out the window!
It's on T-Mobile (UK) and currently using their stock ROM.
Try a factory reset.
Factory Reset will be my last resort. I hate having phones/tablets set up how I like them only to have to do it all over again!
Anyway, since I rebooted it and charged it up, it's been fine. Will have to see how it goes.

[Q] Screen automatically rotates when "auto-rotate" is off

I just got the new HTC One a couple weeks ago. Now only a few hours ago i started getting problems with it. The screen will automatically rotate when going into my settings or any of my apps even when auto rotate is checked off. Also my screen wont lock it'll just bring me to my homepage every time. Now keep in mind this only started happening just a few hours ago. Itried factory reseting it but nothing. Any suggestions?
NOTE: my phone isn't damaged in any way

Cannot get device to factory reset

I posted this in the A500 forum as well, but it's probable that this is not a problem limited to my device, and it's also possible that there is a rom that might help me out.
I purchased my tablet on the day it came out, so it's long out of warranty. Everything has been fine with it until three nights ago.
I woke up in the morning to a crashed app alert. I don't get crashed apps often, but it does happen, so I hit ok. A few seconds later I was inundated with crashed app alerts. At that point, any app I opened would also crash immediately. Figuring a good reset would fix it, I turned it off...and it wouldn't turn back on.
I did finally get it to start by holding the volume up and power button.
But that didn't fix the problem. I've discovered that it is somewhat stable if I keep wifi off, but if wifi is on, within minutes everything starts to crash again.
I tried uninstalling some of the apps that crash, but when I restart, the apps are back. It doesn't matter what I uninstall, when I restart, it's back. Installed apps also disappear, the wallpaper resets...basically nothing I do sticks once I restart. I tried to factory reset using the button combination required for my device, and the screen gives the "erasing user data" message, but when it loads up, everything is just as I left it. I tried using the android os option to factory reset, but when I hit "erase everything", the button depresses, but nothing happens.
So obviously, I'm a bit perplexed.
I've never rooted it, and I ran an anti-virus scan a few hours before this all happened and it came up clean.
Anyone ever experienced this? Any advice? If no one has any ideas one how to fix it, is there a way to bypass the main os completely with a rom? I have absolutely no idea how those work, so it may be obvious that it won't, but I figured I'd check.
Thanks in advance! And thanks for reading this far, even if you have no advice!

G3 backlight turns off after booting.

I got an old G3 VS985. At first it seemed broken beyond fixing but then I realized the backlight turns off after the Android logo comes on. It will be on when off and charging as well. Using a flashlight, I managed to navigate the menu and factory reset. The backlight stayed off throughout the reset and I forced it to shutdown when it started setup and asked for the language because I still couldn't see. But when I turned it back on, it was working properly. However, after a while it went to sleep and when I tried to use it again it was back to the issue. I managed to boot I to the recovery menu and cleared the cache. After that, it rebooted and the screen worked again. I pressed the power button to shut the screen off and back on a few times and it still worked. I left it for a few minutes and it's back to no backlight. I was going to try and reset from the recovery menu but I was only able to get into the menu that one time for some reason. Maybe the instructions I've found are wrong but I tried a few things and can't get back to it. I also checked for updates and it said there aren't any. It's just an old phone that someone didn't want that I thought I could give to my kid to play games with, so not activated or anything. I don't know if it's a hardware issue but it doesn't seem like it because it works for a bit after reset. Any ideas? Also, how can I get into recovery mode every time?
