Well I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S2 next week.
(I live in Australia)
I've done some searching and researching and it seems that there is
a different between the i9100 and i9103 in terms of their processor
and the fact that the i9100 had 1.2ghz while the i9103 has 1ghz.
My question is that if the phone I get next week is a i9103 model are all the rooting/modding/themes on this forum useless to my device as they won't work as they seem to be for the i9100 model.
Hopefully you guys can help. Thanks
Galaxy s2 will have the 1.2 ghz processor, and the name of i9103 is called Galaxy R, unless you ordered galaxy R, you will get all the custom roms, tweaks available here for s2.
By the way Galaxy R has tegra chipset which is completely different from S2

Get the international version i9100 or i9100P (has NFC)
Sorry do you have 4G network in Jordan?
@Nyssa1104 thank you man for reply international version has 1.2GHZ but t-mobile has 1.5GHZ why international are better i dont know if we have 4g but i certain that we have 3g
Definitely get the international version if you're planning on using custom firmware.
There seems to be a lot more development that has happened/is continuing to happen for this variant as opposed to the others. But as Nyssa mentioned, if you can get one (international) with NFC (so you can use it as a virtual wallet/tap to pay, etc) why not
@MistahBungle thanks man i didnt understand you so i will rewrite the question in another type if i bought a T-mobile can i unlock it to apply our Sim (orange, zain, ect) and what is the different between international and T-mobile
I honestly don't know if the T-Mobile version will work in your country or not (I have international version). The T-Mobile has slightly bigger screen, different processor, 4 touch buttons, support for 42mbps data speeds, and supports 1700mhz UTMS...This is all as far as I know. You might want to do a bit more research about the features yourself.
You might want to ask your carrier if this phone will work on their network or not before buying it.
thanks guy for help but i have a little question to people who used the 1.5 and 1.2 processor is there a big different between them
Are you sure you don't want a Galaxy Note? I wouldn't buy SGS2 now, when GN is out.
But if you get one, get the international.
AFAIK it's the same processor, only OCed a bit, what you can do with a custom kernel aswell.
T mobile sgs2 uses a qualcomm snapdragon which is based on the cortex A8 vs the A9 in the exynos and as such is slower clock for clock, so the 1.2ghz exynos is faster and has a better CPU.
I would go for the i9100, it supports GSM (2g) 850/900/1800/1900 and 3G 850/900/1900/2100 so make sure it will work on your network.

PS, I was bored so I checked the networks in Jordan, and as far as I can tell, they use 900 and 1800 so at least it will work on edge/2g and should work on 3g (old thread where someone said they are using a at&t iPhone 3g there on 3g fine, and the i9100 covers the same 3g bands) but I can't find any hard info so I can't be 100% sure.

I recommend buying the International i9100 BUT make sure it isn't the i9100G. It's far worse than the original i9100. Aside from that the AT&T SGS2 looks good too

No, there isn't. Nothing you're gonna feel in day-to-day usage.
Hi Guys,
Do our galaxy support GLONASS.
I believe Galaxy note is having GLONASS support and using same processor as S2.

No GLONASS is not supported on GS2, only Galaxy Note
I dont think GLONASS has anything to do with the processor.

GOOGLE
Today Qualcomm announced that any device with a Snapdragon S2 or S3 processor is capable of accessing both satellite networks, but the feature must be enabled by the carrier on each specific device.

This question about GLONASS-support is relevant indeed, because we really know that S2 has the same processor as Note. But could somebody tell, if some kind of firmware-update (or hack) could be made to activate the support? The location-chip in S2 is obviously different than that in Note...

I just got my new Samsung Galaxy S3 4G.
So the first thing was getting it rooted, everything was working fine. And then I wanted to flash a CM10 rom, but they haven't released one yet, since the Exynos sources hasn't been released by Samsung.
And as far as I know, Exynos is the CPU for the Samsung Galaxy S3 4G?
But here's the question: my Samsung Galaxy S3 4G got an Qualcomm CPU;
*Why doesn't my phone have the Exynos processor?
*Can I use the CM10 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 without any problems?
Btw, I'm from Sweden, and my carrier is Telia. And some of you might wonder how I know that I got the Qualcoom processor - It says it has the qualcomm processor on the box and there was a sticker ontop of the phone saying "Qualcomm".
And I heard that's why Cyanogenmod isn't developing it for the 4G, since they don't have the Exynos sources, but my phone got the qualcom, and as far as I know, samsung galaxy s3 also got the Qualcom.
Congratulation. You got the 4G US Version with DualCore CPU.
btw. It´s wrong section here because you dont have GT-I9300 International .

No, I got 4 cores, I can monitor them all with SeeCPU, and it also says it on the box. Qualcomm Quad Core. And I live and bought it here from Sweden, from one of the biggest carriers in Sweden.
Better tell us what phone model it is under the battery .

What version of the galaxy s3 are there on middle east specifically saudi? is it the dual core or the quad core?
I think it just depends which one you purchase, the international version is the quad core model though.
