I have a problem with the phone, it all started with errors com.lenovo.email error, then launcher was not open. I was decided to do a factory reset, but after resetting the error persists. Then I ran the wipe command in the terminal. Now I can't install any of the firmware, the phone can only see it in restore mode - install from adb. In my Mac I see only:
List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF sideload
I tried to download the firmware on adb sideload, but got a simple answer - error.
Also Im trying to soft reset phone, pressing red button under back cover.
I don't have a computer with Windows, only Mac OS and Ubuntu.
Can I recover my phone?

I need some serious help... I think I bricked my Nextbook Premium 7. I compiled a custom ROM and forgot to included a launcher. Didn't realize it until after I flashed it. My tablet is stuck in a bootloop and only way to shut it down is with the reset [pin hole] button. Power button does nothing except start it up. I have already tried to put the stock update.img on an external SD hoping it would boot from there, but it did not. I am not sure what to do next, I have looked all over google and xda. Please help!
Thank you in advance!
Do you have a custom recovery installed? Did you try installing it threw fastboot files and cmd prompt on computer?
Please hit the thank you button if i helped!

There ins't a custom recovery installed, this device flashes by detecting an update.img and askes to install it. It doesn't get past what would be considered the kernel screen. This tablet doesn't work like a standard android phone. There are no hard buttons except the power button, so attempting to get into any recovery is not possible. It also doen't boot enough to add any files to it.
Sounds like your screwed. Sorry.....
Please hit the thank you button if i helped!

Ok, just bricked my Nextbook 7
Here is how I flashed a firmware without access to recovery:
If you are in a bootloop, Connect USB and Power.
Press and hold pin on back until you hear windows try to detect a device but the screen is off.
Download this: http://arctablet.com/assets/tools/Fi..._Tool_v1.4.zip
Install the driver from the drivers folder.
3. Installing the drivers on the computer
Following the tablet entering in recovery mode, the computer should now show it has found a new USB device and prompt for a device driver. Select the appropriate driver in the driver directory from the Rockchip Flash Tool 1.4 package.
It will then install the driver for RK29 Device
4. Sending the firmware to the tablet
The flashing tool should display a green square around the number 1 in the lower left area of the Windows application.
Select the firmware file to flash using the button in the top right area of the application. Select the update.img file from here:
http://www.multiupload.com/NQHSNZJSO2
Then push the Upgrade button to transfer the selected firmware to the tablet.
The firmware will be copied to the tablet, a progression counter will go from 0% to 100% on this step, followed by a verification.
You are done, let the tablet reboot and update itself. It should take a few minutes for the flash process to finish.
This procedure has been successfully tested on Windows XP 32 bits for flashing a bricked NextBook 7 Premium YF1011 (but should work on others)

screen moved after installing rom
Hi, i don't know if I'm on the right place but if anyone can help me, please I haw the Nextbook 7 premium and have instaled costum rom on it, but after rebooting my screen position has moved from right to left 2 cm and from up to down 1 cm , so my screen is moved I don't know why I have try to install 3 other rom and factory firmware but the screen is still moved or should I say cut. Any ideas? please I have try to google it but no luck...
I no longer have my np7 but I did try just about every ROM for it. Never have I had or seen an issue like this, and in truth I can't think of what the issue may be.
There are different np7 variants and some don't play nice with custom ROMs (built sept 2012 and older lose WiFi) so you might have a model that can only use one software due to hardware/firmware change.
There never was much development for the np7 here, I think finlessbob and others are still working on it at freaktab.com maybe see if they can help

Hi!
First off let me say thanks to R_a_z_v_a_n for redirecting me and hope that I'll find my answer here ^^
So I Have this device called HP 7 VoiceTab 1321RA (not with Slate just HP 7 Voicetab), wanting to have a custom recovery then I tried to flash a CWM Custom Recovery for HP Slate 7 VoiceTab because I thought it was the same and ends up bricking my phone. It ends up in a bootloop which only shows HP sign for a few seconds and dead. But I managed to find out that I can access the recovery menu (or so I thought it is), but the options was choosing between Fastboot Mode, Normal Boot, Recovery Mode, and VART Mode.
I tried to enter Fastboot Mode before and tried to access it via PC but somehow I can't find the device by entering adb devices and fastboot devices. Anyways, I have downloaded a stock update.zip for it but not the original KitKat one which I get from the first time I bought it but rather the JB ones. I think by flashing this would help me recover the device but the only problem is I don't know which method should I use to Flash it. Since I don't have the Stock Recovery or ANY kind of recovery at all, I guess I'm stuck. And it won't start to the home page so I can't set the USB debugging options. Please guide me through this >.<
Thanks a lot!
Been fighting with it for 2 days now and still no result came.
So here's the update so far....
I tried on my other device in order to understand how my PC reads ADB and now I kinda gets it. But the problem is now can't get the device to enable USB Debugging because I can't access options at all.
Secondly, since I left it on for the night because charging seems to trigger the bootloop too, now I can't access the fastboot mode like I was last night. And it constantly repeating this sequence: [battery scene with the "charging battery" symbol] > [HP Powered by Android screen] repeated for 2-3 times > [low battery need charging screen] > repeat. And once I tried to connect to the PC, it goes to the same sequence too. When I tried to access the boot options (the screen which displays Fastboot Mode, Normal Boot, Recovery Mode, and UART Mode which I mention in Thread Starting post), it shows the low battery need charging scene and then repeating the same sequence as mentioned above.
I seem to figure out how to fix this but I still can't manage to access the fastboot mode yet. Will give update once I can try to.
Anyone can help me on this?
Thanks a lot!
Update!
Somehow with a little tweaking and stripping the device, I managed to solve the charging problems. Will update on this once my problem finished.
Jump out from the frying pan and into the fire so they say, I ran into another problem. Finally managed to get into fastboot mode, the devices manager reads it as an Android Device>ROMaster ADB device like the other device I tried to connect while in ADB mode and fastboot mode, but somehow CMD cannot read the device as an ADB device or a Fastboot device like the other device did. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver and still nothing happens. I tried to find the usb_driver on the internet and it directs me to the update.zip instead. Trying to update the driver via Computer Management but it says the driver is up to date. Now thinking about making an emulator device based on the HP 7 VoiceTab 1321RA but I really have no idea how to make one. Any one have any idea of what should I do next or can guide me through this? At least until the CMD can read the fastboot.
Thanks a lot!
I found my self in a deadlock!
PLEASE HELP :crying:
Could you unbrick yours
What service centre says about that problem i also ran in this problrm but i m trying to go to service centre for that

Yesterday I tried to flash a a new rom on my Xperia Z2 (unlocked bootloader).
From TWRP I did an advanced wipe and selected basically everything except my mircoSD (because it has the new files).
After a long time of waiting I tried to flash the ZIP file and it gave me an error. I thought this had to do with the wipe so I decided to reboot my phone.
As you can imagine, it got stuck on the Sony logo (because system would be empty).
From this moment I couldn't do anything with my phone, except from the tool Emma.
I now have some clean installation of Sony their Android 6.0.1 for the Z2 (23.5.A.0.570) but Im unable to flash TWRP through fastboot.
The command adb devices shows my phone, fastboot devices gives an empty response.
When I restart to the bootloader from adb and try to flash TWRP I get the message "< waiting for device >".
I tried on three different PCs including a clean install of Windows with all kind of different drivers, yet I cant get fastboot to work.
Am I stuck with this unrooted version of Android now or do you guys have any suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance!

As I said I've tried all kind of different drivers (Android tools, Sony drivers and flahstool drivers). So for me it's hard to tell what I'm doing wrong.
My computer notices the phone (if I hold volume up and attach the charger), it just doesn't show up under fastboot devices.

Okay, apparently it was because of the driver signature stuff in Windows 10.. The fastboot command now works fine!
Next problem occurred though, flashed the newest TWRP recovery but as soon as I enter "adb reboot recovery" my phone just normally boots again..
Why do things never work out the right way for me as they are intended..

Manually boot into recovery by booting up your device normally and when you see a violet LED, press vol+.

Hii XDA fellows,
So I have seen many people asking for noob friendly guide to restore original oxygen os firmware or basically unbrick device. There are several thread on this already but trust me I have tried them all and in my case I had to use my own brain. So I have compiled a noob friendly guide which I,myself have used to unbrick my device.
small warning this will wipe all of your data.
Firstly I wants to thank Some_Random_Username for bringing up MSM Unbrick tool for OnePlus Nord. His guide to unrick nord is also fairly good enough but in my case I was stuck in bootloop after installing a rom. My phone was not even booting to Qualcomm EDL Mode so that I can use MSM Tool.
Lets start with pre-requisites:
You must have unlocked bootloader.
Original Oneplus Type - C cable.
Windows PC.
ADB debugging turned on your phone.
Firstly Switch off your device, which I think most of you have already have as the device is bricked but in case your phone is stuck in bootloop or recovery or bootloader menu itself then try holding down voume up button and power button together hold them down till you get heptic feedback and screen goes off. Let it be cool down for about a minute.
Now Setup your PC:
Download MSM tool to from this guide : Click here
Setup adb environment in your PC if you havent already setup follow this guide
Download Qualcomm EDL drivers from here: Click here
Now download Unofficial TWRP recovery by Mauronofrio from here
On your PC right click on start menu icon and start Windows Powershell(Admin) and type this command bcdedit /set testsigning on This will turn off driver signature verifications on windows you will be required to restart your pc now after you restart your pc will boot into test mode and you'll see a watermark stating the same in bottom left of your desktop. Worry not we will undo this after we have finished restoring.
install Qualcomm EDL drivers by running the setup listed above.
Unzip MSMTool there you will see a file named MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe run it, it'll take some time but after you see a pop up asking for user type user name and password, Select other as user type and leave other stuffs blank as it is and click next.
In the next window, In the target button select O2 while using global tool or India while using indian tool or EU when using european tool.
Now you have to boot into Qualcomm Emergency Download Mode
You can do this in several diffrent ways but one I am listing here is recommended :
Boot into fastboot/bootloader mode by pressing and holding Volume up, Volume down and power button together when you see a Menu pop up on your screen you can let go all the fingers at once.
Now connect your phone to your PC and go to that folder where TWRP recovery is located. Hold Shift button and Right click inside that folder you'll see an option "Open powershell window here click on it. In the powershell window type
fastboot devices and press enter your device will be listed as fastboot devices in powershell window. Now type
fastboot boot twrp1.img press enter
your device will boot up in TWRP recovery in twrp recovery go to reboot section and select Edl, This will boot your phone Edl mode your screen will go off as soon as it happens in the MSM tool window you'll see a device listed as com3/com5/com7.
Click on start button the restoration process will begin. Wait for about 400 secs and your device will automatically boot up.
Voila you've successfully unbricked your phone.
If you want to exit from Driver test mode on your pc simply start a powershell window with admin rights and type
bcdedit /set testsigning off
and restart your PC.

Seems like it's a software issue probably a bug in your rom rich out to the developer he might help you, as you have tried both with Linux and windows i don't think it's a driver issue, it could be an issue with the hardware also but chances are pretty low for this to happen. Try flashing other roms if you have backup of your phone, use orange fox recovery it has an option of taking nandroid backup.

Hi People,
I hope I am putting this question in the proper location.
I have had several attempts ate flashing a new ROM to my device as it was the Chinese version & kinda useless to me not having Play store or several other APPs I want. I also wanted to try ROOT a phone for the first time.
I managed to get as far as getting ADB & fastboot working & TWRP installed on the device. The first ROM I had put in my file storage was corrupt so I tried the Lineage 17 version which "seemed"to install with a success message, but the phone would only boot into TWRP. so I tried the Havoc ROM from the thread in this site area. Same thing, would only boot into TWRP. Then I thought I would start over & install the factory ROM from: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/olivelite/stable/V12.0.2.0.QCPMIXM/ with ADB & fastboot. I got a success message from the MiFlash tool but the device is now saying the "MIUI verson cannot be installed on this device" in one screen from the Redmi-Recovery 3.0 menu that's now on it.
From here I can Reboot, wipe data or connect with MiAssistant. When I try MiAssistant (PC Suite) the phone does not connect to my PC but I can see the ADB device from device manager and ./adb fastboot devices shows a serial number -but connected as sideload if that makes a difference?
I hope I explained well enough to be understood. Is there anything I can do from here to get it working or is it fully stuffed?
Ur device's bootloader still unlocked?
