Hello,
Everything I'm finding that even mentions your device you've already posted in. Please don't post multiple threads for the same issue.
with that being said, the best I can do to help at this point is to have your thread moved to a Q&A forum, maybe you'll get help there. Good luck.

Hi All,
Does anyone know how to root the updated 2.2.1 Optimus One without downgrading it? Has anyone tried SuperOneClick on it? And if you have, is there any difference in the method for installing ClockworkRecovery Mod on it? Is there any way to install ClockworkRecovery on it? Final question for now: Let's say that somehow, the phone get rooted etc. How can I use ROM Manager on it?
Thanks
Not Rootable
As of now, no rooting method exists for 2.2.1
Super one click and z4 both do not work on 2.2.1
This has been discussed extensively on the forums.

Hi there,
I rooted my SGS2 with S2 Root v1.3
My phone has successfully rooted, but i've not found any links that can let me install CWM after that.
I'm not sure, but rom manager users have reported the rom manager CWM can't seem to do nandroid backups properly.
Anyone can point me in the right direction or post a guide? thanks.
I've searched with the search tool and can't seem to find anything that can help me after S2 root. Thanks.
I've seen this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118693
But it still doesn't tell me if it is compatible if i've already rooted with S2 root.
There are some kernels which installs CWM and Super User automatically after rooting. Such kernels are Chainfire, SpeedMod T27 etc, others won't.
Regards.
ok. will check those out.

1st off sorry if this is the wrong place for this but i was an evo user for the past year plus and i know how to root and flash that but i just got my Sgs2 and I havent found the rooting method YET but i love this phone and would like some suggestions froms roms and rooting methods thanks
To root, you need to flash a rooted kernel (CF is closest to stock with root) through Odin.

I've tried motochop and the Odin method. Both of which leave the SU binary out no matter which way I make attempts at fixing it. The same error occurs and I'm one step further from getting wifikill back. Anyone interested in helping me solve this riddle ? I rooted the S3 no problem and this one proves to be much more difficult just by virtue of being the newer one I suppose.

Did you swap the stock kernel with the pre-release kernel? If not that is your issue. The stock kernel that came loaded on the phone has a root blocker. If you dont the root blocker wont allow the writing of the binaries to the phone from what i understand. You use Odin to swap the kernels, do the root then flash the original kernel back to the phone and presto, you're rooted.
If you did that then i have no clue. Other then you must have the motochopper with the updated SuperSU not Superuser.
