Hey friends myself Jaberjeet Singh. Basically m not a developer but still i tries to perform experiments on my phone sometimes.I have Galaxy Note 3(SM-N900) - the international variant of Galaxy Note 3 and i believe many times while experiments the software of my phone or apps got crashed after the root or after installing a custom rom a no. of debugs are there so i suggest u should have the official ROM of this variant if your going to continue.. with it.So here's the fully official ROM/FIRMWARE straight from the samsung service centre , i just got it and i am sharing it with all of you. [Q] Samsung Note SGH-I717 or SHV-E160L?

Hi.
I have a problem with my Note. I bought the Korean version of the phone (at leats it should be) but the specifications of the phone are driving me crazy lol
As I said, when I bought it, it should be the Korean version, however the rom running on it is from AT&T (AT&T splash screen, AT&T wifi hotspots in the settings, AT&T phone update and so on). The phone is rooted. When I run a device info app, it’s a mess:
Android version: 2.3.6
Release Codename: REL
CPU ABI: armeabi-v7a
CPU ABI2: armeabi
Hardware: SHV-E160L
Board: MSM8660_SURF
Device: SGH-I717
Display: GINGERBREAD.Jhonms.557419
Model: SAMSUNG-SGH-i717
Product: SGH-I9220
Even though I don’t understand some of this info, there are 3 things that intrigue me. The CPU, I guess it’s from the Korean version, since it seems the AT&T devices have a QUALCOMM processor. But the weirdest part for is the Hardware (SHV-E160L) and the Device and Model (SGH-I717) information. Shouldn’t that be the same in all the information? So my phone is it the AT&T model or the Korean model? The guy who sold it to me told me it was the Korean model but they change something in the ROM to support Chinese (I live in China), and the Korean ROM doesn’t support Chinese. However, I want to put the original Korean ROM because it has the NFC already working, while in the AT&T build I have in my phone, it’s not activated yet. So, anyway can anyone tell me which model I have?
And, if it's the Korean model, how did he put the AT&T ROM on it? I thought you couldn't mess the S7000, SI717, etc model roms?!
Thanks in advance.
This is all correct for an i717 at&t model.
hi,
i am also living in china and i guess i have the same device with yours.
i checked some web sites and they said at&t model doesn't have any physical home button.
but mine has it and the korean model (E160L) has it, too.
so i guess the hardware is from korea but the rom is not the original one.
does your device has '掌界网www_dot_wpcnn_dot_com' in Build number?
if so, it must be the same as mine.
i am thinking whether i can rewrite E160L original rom by modifying some information in build.prop. but i haven't succeeded in doing it because i don't know correct data in E160L's build.prop. (i am thinking samsung kies can update the rom to E160L's one if i fake it to E160L)
this device supports LTE though. i don't know if it's enabled on this device or not.
*#2263# doesn't the menu for it.
and i tried to install CMW (for SGH-I717) by odin3 today. flashing it to the device was ok. but the device cannot get in recovery mode....(infinite loop of booting)
anyway, this rom sucks.

Was anyone able to flash CWM on this? I am also having a loopy-recovery.
AFAIK... CMW = for ENGLISH, FRENCH and SPANISH etc ...languages.... and not set for 128bit character languges (am not sure iof right-correct tech word for chinese kange etc sorry to lazy to look that word up!)
the CMW = for 'western languages' only
Smart for S'sung = KOREAN MODELS = as non western languages .....
((( that they designagted that as "INTERNATIONAL MODEL" phones different MODEL NUMBER to ATT/Rodgers etc )))
There is a thread from one OP = about BOUNTY for making "korean models' able to do CMW + ATT/Roders ROMS etc ,,,,, you can search for there for my comments ..
Cheers , hope this helps towards some explinations of CMW/Drivers etc between two models of NOTE

Galaxy s3 T-mobile no 3G network

hi everyone ,
1- im not in USA , but my phone model name is SGH-T999 , (when i bought my phone i didn't know that it is a T-mobile version !)
2- my issue is that my phone not connecting to 3G , even that there is an option for 3G in the settings but when i choose it the network become unavailable .
3- i tried wipe data and wipe cache , still cannot connect to 3G , only EDGE ! ( E sign )
4- I tried to install like 4 official ROM using Odin , but any of them didn't work , always received a FAILED message on Odin and "unsupported dev_type" on my phone
5- then my phone didn't turn on , ( i didnt know what to do cz i cant fix it using Odin !
6- Suddenly I noticed that my model Name is NOT GT-I9300 , but It is SGH-T999 ( i figured that in the CWM recovery menu )
7- Here i noticed that I DON"T have the "world model" of Galaxy S3 ,but it is the T-mobile version , so here i immediately installed the T-mobile stock ROM , and it worked using Odin and my phone got back to life
8- Now i just want ur help plz to make my phone connect to 3G Network
can I install the "world model" ROM for ex the UK ROM or middle east ROM ?
if yes, will it fix my problem ? if not how to fix my problem
thank a lot
T999 is a completely different device from the I930x line, based on a dual-core Qualcomm SoC (instead of the quad-core Exynos found in the international models). Go to the US/Canadian Galaxy S3 forum for support.
IIRC the T999 is lacking support for some or all European 3G bands, which is why you are not seeing a 3G signal with it.

No that's not possible, Samsung live demo units have missing GSM parts , you can only use them limited with WiFi
That´s not 100% true, you just need the right tools for it, I have assembled the missing GSM parts in an Note 4 Edge 3 weeks ago and it´ss working great.
In addition you need an IMEI (best is when not used in your country, so check syourself an abroad IMEI) and then flash the unit with IMEI and actual SW.
Can u check an LDU S6 Edge for me?

Not trying to be a smartass, but his question was can a activate the GSM part by flashing. The answer is no. Sure you can change the whole mainboard too and have a working phone. Maybe even solder the right missing parts if you have the specialized equipment needed for this. But this is not for the average soul
Buying a Board, checking IMEI and getting the image for the model is much more difficult. But do what ever you want.
your "smartass"
Need some help please
I have a Live demo unit as well, but did not know that the GSM parts were missing, so I rooted it :S Now i cannot seem to get it to boot or flash another firmware on it just to get it up and running again.
Anyway I can get it running again? I just need to be able to undo the root i think, but trying to flash a stock ROM throws the following error:
<ID:0/006> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/006> FAIL!
Would really appreciate if you could help.
Thanks!
I've been trying to push a new rom to one of these demo units I've bought off ebay for 2 hours
.
So far
download mode isn't recognised by odin.....WTF?
but the phone is recognised like normal via USB
I put it in developer mode and the stock boot loader allows adb sideload.
but CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltedv-smg920i.tar.md5
and twrp-2.8.6.0-zeroflte.img.tar
and a "stock" rom I found
all give wrong footer signature verification failed
There is an update from external storage that doesn't exist!
and update from cache
I don't know how to use that.
So how the help did you root it in the first place?
Without Odin or adb and without root. How do you apply an update? You can't change the recovery....

Hey shadowcliffs
Can You please share those 3 files that you downloaded to recover you SM-G925X LDU?
i flashed lt with the 925f version which messed it up when odin reached flashing modem.img thats when it failed. (probably since it dosent have a modem )
Once i messed up flashing it with a firmware that had modem.img any other firmware couldnt bring it back. (even removed sboot.bin modem.bin cm.bin) out of 925f rom
My original firmware that was on the device is bloated with stuff, but i rather have a working wifialphabet then a bricked device.
So can you please share those files, for i tried everything.
Thank You
You don't need those 3 files, and the AP file (which is 6.6 GB) wont flash anyway. You can just try to flash this recovery for 925x to see if it brings your phone back.

Confusing galaxy s6 model

I have galaxy s6.I am so confused right now because my phone's settings says that the model of my phone is sm-g920f but when i boot into odin mode it says that my phone model is sm-g920p.I made a little research on that so i thought my original model is sm g920p and i am looking forward to update it from marshmallow to nouget. All stock roms in internet says different things like Region and 3 letter product code etc when i try to download it.I dont know if my phone is sprint version or not so is it okey if i install different region rom? with different product code?
I guess my phone is factory unlocked because i can use any type of sim card that used in my country (i live in asia)
Sorry English is my second language so i am struggling to write that (laughter)
Conclusion:My main question is---Can i flash any roms even if its spirint rom with 3 letter product code? or i must flash the exact rom that suits my device if so how can i find if my phone is verizon or spirint etc? By the way on my device there is no service provider name like spirint. The only word i got at the back of my phone is samsung. And the other few words that i have no idea about.
Please help me. :')

Custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy J8

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy J8 from Australia because I lost my phone there. When I came home to India I found out that the Australian J8 does not support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) but I need VoLTE for my Indian sim card to work. So I went to the Samsung service center but they straight away denied any support since I bought this in another country.
The Indian varient J8 supports VoLTE but the Australian one does not even when both the phones have the exact same hardware. So its a software limitation.
Can anyone suggest any method I can use to install any custom ROM that'll support VoLTE.
I'm willing to install anything, root my phone or whatever it takes since I'm never gonna get any warranty on this. So I might as well try everything else.

Just download Indian firmware from sammobile and flash via odin, that will contain latest modem for your device. It might bring VoLTE, because I think its software problem.

I tried but it won't let me install any other model firmware. My phone's Model Number is SM-J810Y but the phones available in India have model number SM-J810G. So it won't let me install the "G" firmware. I get a failed message.
Do you have any other suggestion?
