Hello Everyone,
I'm new to android head units and new to this forum. I need help badly. I bought an android head unit and installed it in my truck last night. All was well until this morning I was browsing all the settings and somehow managed to change to resolution. It is a 800x480 unit and I accidentally changed it to 1024x600 I think.... Anyway, now the operating system and all the apps are larger what the screen provides so I can't see all info. I tried to go back into those settings and change it, but like I said, the OS is too big so I can't get to that option. I also can't get to the factory reset option. Here are the specs -
Processor type - Quadcore-R16 1.6G
Android Version - 4.4.2
MCU Version - 5.3.13-1-10-610-101-150619
System Version - 4.5.3_20151027
DVD Version - 2.13.15-860-mc-150417
What can I do to fix this? Please help. And thank you very much!

Hello! I have recently bought Trak tPad-7110 E in Lithuania. It comes with Android 4.0.4, Baseband version: 1.4rc3, Kernel version 3.0.8, Build number 20120713-F712.
I am not allowed to post links yet, but if you google the name of the tablet, you'd come to the website which is in polish. google "Trak tPad"
I believe it is manufactured in either China or Poland. When hard resetting, default language is Polish. My question is, Would it be possible to install a fresh android version on it, without the retarded apps this tablet comes with. It is bogged with useless stuff that slows the tablet down, and that is my reason why I really want to install vanilla version of Android.
What version would you recommend installing? Is it even possible? I have not found any information on the internet regarding this tablet.

Well, I haven't really tried yet, as I do not have much of knowledge regarding android rooting, but I was looking forward to someone who maybe did that.
About the tablet... Programs stall pretty often, when updating apps, tab is unusable because of the stutter and lag. With no background proccesses running, it is a fine tablet to browse the net, no stutters there or anything. Same goes with apps.

How can i find out which softvare and hardvare has?
i know that has android 4.0.4 that one i can read from android menu
How can i root it? I instaled an igo 8 and the system bar is covering the lower buttons i have to root to install the full!screen app.
it would be nice to see which softver is on it to change it because its very rudimentar and not user friendly.
my backup kamera is not turning on automaticaly when i put in reverse i have to chekit manualy. my wheel commands are not working propely, my radio is very poor.
im suspecting that has a fairly good hardware but a ver low end softvare. this is why i try to change it if someone helps me.
So first how to root?
second what hardvare do i have?
what firmaware upgrade posibilities do i have?
I figured out its EW-8VW-A40 type stereo.
so how can i root it?????

i changed the gps to sygic and it works doesnt cover the system bar anymore great one problem solved

I can not help you at the moment , I'm new and I have no experience, so if I have a problem similar to yours.
I bought a similar device with Android 2.3 and has a few problems, some serious and others not so much. :silly:
What I have wanted is to change the Android OS by WinCW 6.0, I think this is the most reliable time the Android, in addition to better display screens in Android is very poor in this regard, but I do not know if this is possible .
It is an extensive list of problems, but the more I dislike (also the GPS IGO, the bottom image is cropped) is that the unit can operate the DVR front camera, but running it is very erratic and unstable.
The seller tried to start to solve but then I did not respond more and presented other problems and I had no more response.

I just recently purchased a new Lenovo A808t smartphone, and boy is she a beauty...only problem is I can't get her to communicate with me in English. Well, kinda. I was able to change the android language output, so every basic function on the phone is in English, however, all the apps, and more complicated functions seem to be in chinese with no apparent way to change it. Kinda just wanting to get it back to basic android operating system with a google play store and then I can restock it with everything I want from there. Any ideas about how I can go about doing that? I'm a noob rooter, I've only done it once, and I'm a little worried about doing it with this new phone since I haven't seen anything out there on the interweb about rooting said phone. I'm open to ideas though. Oh, and in case it's important, the android system being run is 4.4.2. Thanks!

HELP !!!!!!!!
Just imported an Oppo Find X here in the UK - and have managed to get most things working except Android Auto. I have given Android Auto every permission I can - and shut off all battery and app freezing elements but still when I connect Android Auto to my car (which has worked find with any other Android Phone) I just get a black screen on the head unit.
Does anyone have any idea how to get Android Auto working properly? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
I bought an Oppo find x in Malaysia and use it in the UK. Android Auto works fine, although I don't use it or particularly like it. Sorry, but all I did was click on it and approve the 6 or so permissions.
The only apps I struggle with are, oddly, the clock (as the android alarm doesn't always work- but I just switched to the Oppo clock and that does) and Google Now (which works when I tap on it, but not automatically).
Is yours the global rom?
I imported one fro China and android auto doesn’t work for me either
I have thé same no Android auto to my Oppo chinese rom
Same issue on Chinese ROM, imported to UK. Screen just says to check phone compatibility.
Did anyone find a work around for the china version?

It's as near as a bricked phone you'll find software wise. I've sold mine, thank god.
I've managed to find and buy a global ROM version and can confirm Android Auto (along with everything else for that matter) works perfectly.
I have an oppo find x with China ROM, there was an OS update few weeks ago to ColorOS 5.2.1, reinstalled Android auto on Friday and it was working perfectly on my Chevy Volt

I just received a notification from xda dev about a subject I participated in and it seems we can now install Android TV on the Mibox 3 but I'm not sure if I understood correctly. Can someone confirm that?
If yes, what do you think I should install to replace that ****ty xiaomi firmware? I'd like to use it for Netflix and Prime video mostly.

Hello,
You need to start with a "factory reset" (Settings > Storage & reset > Factory data reset) to have all clean parameters.
After, since Oreo update on the Mibox 3, this is MANDATORY to activate the parameter CEC SWITCH into the HDMI CEC section (to avoid freezes or wake-up issues).
Normaly, for Netflix, this is OK.
But for Prime video, I know you need a dedicated version (from Nvidia Shield or BBOX if I'm right ) !!
