I am searching for a custom ROM for Huawei Honor 7 (PLK-L01)?
Examples: (CyanogenMod, ParanoidAndroid, AOKP, Slim Bean, PAC-man ROM, Carbon ROM, Vanilla Rootbox, OmniROM, SlimROMs, MIUI, or AOSB...etc)

At the time, there's no custom ROM available.

We need the Android kernel source codes for the developers and fans to start porting different ROMs to this device.
We are waiting for Huawei for release the source codes.

The code has bin release now as far as I no but yet to see a custom ROM for the honor 7 it is a real shame
I don't know if it's this and proper, (small files 150 MB for 5.0.2 and 300 MB for 6.0), but here is how to get Kernel files.
Go to consumer.huawei.com/en/
Clik on support, click on search line and input Honor 7 (webpage is a bit slow and sometimes won't recognize input) until you get "Honor 7 PLK-L01". Click on that. Click on "Update Get the Latest Drivers, Firmware and Software". Popup layer will appear with kernel files. At least it says so.

Couldn't find any so far!
I'm really looking forward to seeing how much fun this phone can be and the honor 7 must be a popular phone for the price still
No CM, but, already there are YodaRom, DigiRom, Modaco r6, wbt 2,1 with emui 4.1, all are custom Roms for H7 not my work at all, say thanks to the rightful owner/creator

I still wait also, because i am in trap after unlocket bootlader. Re-lock is not possible, ... because also delock was very difficult by rom b121. I must wait for really custom rom :/

Xiaomi launched MIUI 7 in China but they are not providing it to everyone due to it's Global Launch which is going to held on 19th August.

If you are updating through MIUI 6 and already have gapps then Gapps remain there, but If you are Flashing this Rom freshly then you have to flash gapps.

Thats sounds crazy and not quite right.
I think k they won't be giving lollilop to our devices
I once saw a moderator on miui.com being asked why there is still no lollipop for cancro, and he answered that they are afraid of bricking devices if they extend the partitions (because miui lollipop on cancro needs extended partition)

Ha! It'd be really interesting to know just how many cancro users switch between ROMs on system1 and system2 with any frequency.
My guess is that if you are interested in using different ROMs you definitely have enough curiosity to want to use Lollipop - in which case virtually everyone will need to scrap the system2 partition.
So due to a really bad design decision at the beginning, and to "support" their users... they need to keep the 2 system partitions, hence no Lollipop.
Just as well xda exists...
It seems the best option is to move from miui to another ROM, it's a shame, I really like miui
I am waiting for the Global Launch I am on global dev beta team and man it sucks ! No root like the china dev ROM no transparent status bar !
Just wanted to know if someone is interested in porting this rom or developing it :|
there is already ported version from redmi note 3 but it has many bugs, and chinese devs doesn't seems that they are working on it agian

Hey, I just searched the threads but could not find MIUI ROM; the one you mentioned. But then anyway, CM works damn smoother, don't want to go for bloated ROM, EMUI is already enough

I found it in Chinese forum and i don't recommend anyone to try it ?
It also edit /cust, so it kinda dangerous for normal users

Since a month , i have tried a lot of custom roms in my honor 5x like ( RR, SLIM, CM13,AOSP) but every rom has some issue in it...So im really confused.
Can anyone suggest me which is the best rom for my honor 5x L22 which i can use as daily driver .

Hi mate,
Actually Its on personal preferences.
There are two mainstream of Custom Roms, AOSP Based & CM based. Both have their Unique ness.
If you Want AOSP Based, SLIM, Krexus these two are the best for me.
If talking about CM Based, Resurrection Remix, CrDroid, & AOKP worked like charms for me.
Also don't forget to Drop by Blaze kernel(A custom kernel) thread.

MIUI 8.7.7.13 is based on MM? If it's so, flash firmware before installing the Rom. If it's based on nougat, then no need of firmware

How strange, this Redmi Note 4X (Mido) is not listed in the Xiaomi device list. How can you have an official ROM?
Of the best ROMs, it's difficult, huh ...

Have been using AICP since 18th July and omg that's my longest stay on any particular rom? It's flawless .. Smooth af. What i think is that at this moment most of the roms for Mido have reached a super stable stage.

IMHO CrDroid is the best ROM for this device. It has lots of useful features, the most used customizations, it's updated frequently and has great performance.
I have used that ROM on many devices and it always has worked great, but on the RN4 it really shines.
For me it's Paranoid android. Or rr if you like a lot of features, but for me AOSPA is better.

All custom ROMs on this forum will give you 8+ hours of SOT. If all you need is a "little bit" of customisations, then go for the slimmest ROMs - e.g., SlimROM, or MainstageOS, or this AOSP-CAF ROM, or any number of others. Take your pick!

Flash firmware when flashing nougat ROM (eg lineage) while marshmallow ROMs (miui). If you are in miui beta global rom on nougat then no need to flash the firmware

For the moment the developers do not do any rom for mate 10 lite only RR for mate 10 pro
An AOSP based rom for Mate10Lite is available by @phhusson thread. Mate10Lite is listed under the supported device.

Thanks for sharing, I already found this and I am going to try but for the time being I am stuck on bootloader unlocking. The official website link is down and there is no other free way to get my bootloader unlocking key.

Ok may be there are some bugs in the RR for mate 10 lite. Actually we need a devwloper who can specifically work on our device and for that we will wait....
Can you try AOSP and tell us the experience? I am sure AOSP will be bug free or less bugs I hope.

I did; can't remember well, I used it just for a few minutes. But I think it has wifi bug too and an app force close. So, for a daily driver I don't recommend to use treble ROMs at this moment.
And yes mate, hope more devs work on this device.
