Hi guys,
I have the following question.
I have G2 mini D620K and I want to update the firmware in order to receive Bulgarian system language. Can I do this with non d620k firmware (d620r, d620), or I'm going to brick the device?
Here are current parameters:
Android: 5.0.2
Baseband: mpss.di.2.0.1.c1.15-00048-m8926daaaanazm-1
Kernel: 3.4.0+
Build Number: LRX22G
SW Version: v20b-hkg-xx
I will appreciate if you could provide donload link for the firmware
Thank you!

Hi,
There are 5 sub-models within the family LG D620
D620: United Kingdom and some European countries
D620r: Czech Republic, Spain, and other European and American countries
D620fr: France (simnilar the 620R)
D620k: Hong Kong, Singapore, Russia and some Asian countries
D620j: Japan
All models share the same processor, hardware, and display.
However, they differ in the radio module and cover different frequencies
I do not know whether this difference is at the level of hardware or software, or both.
You can experiment with different versions of KDZ, the following link, there you will find different versions of official KDZ´s, according to your area and model.
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=57
Use the LGFlashTool2014 tool,Link XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2797190
I add a table of models LG D620, to guide you ..
Thank you very much for the reply.
I managet to install different region firmware kdz on the device. The flash was successful. I took the risk and install it before your reply. The only thing I considered was the kdz file is for clean D620 device. (not 620r, 620fr ...)
Hope this info will help others.

Hi,
All the fw's in the link are original ones.... u can either port the NZ one or Australian version or Indian version or the UK one.... There are versions like 10A, 10B, 10C .... Go for either 10A or 10B because the latter one's can't be rooted.
Also, avoid using swearing words in this community bro, the moderators mite even delete ur account.

Mithun.
Hey Guys,
I am in a confusion whether to Install Russian Version of Kitkat 4.4.2 Update on my Indian Version S4 Mini GT-i9192.
My Extact doubts are..
1. Whats the difference in countrywise updates? Additional/Exempted features?
2. What is CSC thing in an OS? I heard from someone about countrywise CSC.. I have seen the file while Flashing via ODIN.. if I replace Indian CSC via ODIN on Russian version, will I get future updates of official Indian Version?
3. If not, Is it possible to receive future official updates for Russian version while I am sitting in India?
Kindly clear my doubts.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,
I need a stock rom for my phone. Before update OTA firmware 450MB (camera improvement) I have stock rom version v10a-222-10. After update, my stock rom version v10b-222-10. Where can I find this version of rom v10a-222-10? I check this site... //lg-firmwares.com/lg-h840-firmwares/
Hi !
You can find stock rom on the link you provided. Then, you have to use LG Up with Uppercut :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295
I manage to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0 (even if it was a bit difficult). Btw, may i ask you a question : why do you want to downgrade ? This update seemed to be good, plus it bring february security patch and camera improvement.
I bought the lg g5 se one week ago and i also get this update !
I always think that the new update stock firmware more demanding than the old stock firmware... Correct me if I'm wrong? Phone works well, but it's the only reason why I want to do this...
Which version you download and installed? Can I install other stock rom from list? Can i install this version H84010b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0222.kdz? Does not exist this version H84010a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0222.kdz?

Hello, I would suggest you to download the newest version from v10, i mean the following versions of v10a( v10b and so on) so if v10b is the most recent version of v10 then go for it. If you have the chance to download v10c for example, go for that one
Have you tried any of these versions? Which version do you use?

Not with these roms, but with my previuos lg bello i tried to update, and i searched and figured out that the following letters are better versions than previous ones (less bugs for example)
Flash with TWRP
So, I've following problem:
1.played with busybox
2.messed everything up (bootloop)
3.no rom backup (and no rom at all, just the recovery, no os)
I really need your help:
Is there a possibility to get a stock rom (h840, bought in austria so german version)?
and not in KDZ, i dont know how to flash that.
Either as a flash-zip or img
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
The guy with a useless phone

you need LGUP + uppercut to able to flash H840
and a firmware from https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h840-firmwares/ in KDZ, which is official format from LG
it's no Austrian firmware there (my phone from Drei), while exist from other EU countries(my last update was from 2017-03-08 - and it's Italian, UK there)
also exist a Android 7(H84020xxx) for EU/SouthAmerica
upd: ROM is the same for all EU, but it's include additional software from mobile operators, which is different

why don't you download the base commercial version (untouched) using Xperfirm ? (Commercial and Journalist) version.
it runs perfect!

no, kernels has nothing to do with regions!
infact if you are within same android version, like Nougat, you can even use kernel of older build to newer build release! it wont matter! (beside it security patch and version indications in ABOUT PHONE )
So which version should I flash - hk generic or commercial and journalists version?
Hi Folks,
According to the documentation I have, the FCC ID should able to be located by navigating to the Regulatory & safety item within Settings. There appears to be 2 options for locating this item. It is supposed to be displayed either under the General tab or in the About phone category of Settings.
However, it is not to be seen. Even doing a search doesn't reveal it.
The phone was new in a sealed box and has Android 7.0 installed with an Android security patch level of 1 November 2016.
Has anyone else had this problem and was able to solve it it?
Thanks!!
I can see the setting exactly where you said on my G5, with Android 8. Have you tried updating the phone to Oreo to see if you can get the info you need? Don't expect much, it only shows very basic info, at least on the OPEN_EU version.

Very interesting. Are you the original owner of your phone? If so, did it already have Oreo installed when you bought it? The documentation I previously referred to was from 2016 but Oreo was released in August 2017.
The LG SN & Carrier & Country Check, provided by IMEI.info, indicates it is an Israel variant and is associated with a Carrier in Israel (Carrier Code: ISR, Carrier: ISRAEL) which does not seem to make sense given that the phone was in a Sealed Box and supposed to be Unlocked. The same report also indicates it as having a Firmware File of H85030e_00_OPEN_IL_OP_0206.kdz and Firmware Version of H85030E_00 which indicates Android 8.
The list of Firmware, on the LG-ROMs website, also correlates with the Firmware File mentioned above.
Download LG Firmware for LG G5 LGH850 Android 8.x Oreo kdz stock ISR Rom
Download Android 8.x Oreo KDZ stock firmware for download with direct link
lg-roms.com
However, I'm not sure if the phone, I have, is a UK or Israel variant. The preselected Language was English. Preinstalled apps, such as Evernote, Facebook & Instagram, correlate with UK and Israel variants according to the respective User Guides. If it was an Israel variant, why wasn't the preselected language Hebrew one would be inclined to ask. The Israel User Guide contains both Hebrew and English versions.
After running an HDMI Connectivity check, the next step is to try an OTA (Over-The-Air) Update. The phone is in Oz. Would there be any problems attempting an OTA update for a phone that is not in its original region?
Does your phone correlate to the details on the following page which indicates a Region of EEE?
Download LG Firmware for LG G5 LGH850 Android 8.x Oreo kdz stock EEE Rom
Download Android 8.x Oreo KDZ stock firmware for download with direct link

I'm making an educated guess that the "EEO", in the File name H85030e_00_EEO_GB_OP_1121.kdz, refers to the OPEN_EU version that you mentioned.
Thanks again.

I was not the original owner: I bought it second hand with Marshmallow installed, then I've upgraded to Nougat and then Oreo. I really don't remember how the FCC menu used to look on previous OS versions.

My neighbour bought a Huawei Phone online, and it was an Israelian variant as well. It was a new untouched phone, and I'm quite sure it didn't have Hebrew as default language on the first boot. It works with no problems in Italy. I think that the phone tries to guess the language to be used according to the SIM card: I have a couple of tablets made for the Italian Market, with no SIM card inside, that on first boot are set on English.

As long as you are sure about the model (H850), attempting an OTA or flashing a different variant for the same model is totally fine. Even in the case there are some incompatibilities between the Israelian carriers settings in the firmware and the carriers in the UK, they would be minor issues, such as the NTCODE error. Moreover, you would still be able to flash again a different variant using LGUP if you're not satisfied with the one you have.
EEO_GB by the way is not the OPEN_EU variant, that is called exactly OPEN_EU. I suppose that EEO_GB might be related to EE carrier in Britain.

It's definitely an H850.
Not looking to Flash any ROMs.
The phone is in Oz (Australia).
Would it be best to do the OTA update without a Local SIM card and just use a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet?
Can an "NTCODE error" happen after an OTA update?
Thanks!! again.

If you update the phone through an OTA update, the location shouldn't matter for the update process to complete. The phone will download the latest update available for its region. As the phone is in Australia and it's an Israelian variant, it will receive an Israelian update. So, as long as you use OTA updates, NTCODE error shouldn't happen. But don't worry, even if it happened, it would be just an annoyance, as it shows just once when you start the phone, but wouldn't affect the usage.
